Visit to fellow with used fridge / freezer, 2018-12-01.

In conjunction with the 28th visit with support package to a fellow who moved to new accommodation found that the missing refrigerator. A few days earlier we had received notice from Nuch at Seawiev that an apartment owner replaced the fridge / freezer and left the old to needy. Because the climate makes it difficult to store fresh produce, this offer was perfect for this family. Today, when we delivered the fridge / freezer, they became so happy that grandmother cried with joy. Usually it does not make much effort to make people happy and to experience the recipient's joy is worth all the hassles. They send a big thank you to Nuch who conveyed and to the currently unknown donors.

Visit to fellow with support package, 2018-11-29.

Today's visit was to the support family Ingrid & Rutger Persson's girl who lives with grandmother and a daring aunt. Her grandfather died quickly this summer and is very missed by the family. It is a happy, ambitious and talented girl who is now in the final semester of high school. One of her favourite subjects is drawing. In the weekend, she is therefore allowed to practice her skills as a teacher in drawing for younger students. Her future plan is to qualify for university studies in languages, Chinese and English next year. The CCT is trying to pick up sponsors to fund the funding for her studies.

Support package content was what we mostly buy, rice, oils, noodles, preserves, vegetables, fruit and chicken as well as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoos and detergents. The neediest families receive a similar support package from a couple of times a year to each month. The family was brilliantly happy with the gifts and sends a big thank you to Ingrid & Rutger for the support package.

Visit to fellow with support package, 2018-11-28.

Today's visit was to a girl, 14 years old, living with her cancerous grandmother in a single rental room in Klaeng. Her father is unknown and her mother has a new husband and does not want to know her. In recent years, they have moved a few times but have hopefully found an accommodation where they have the opportunity to stay. The girl has no support family so once a year we provide a support package for them. Today's support package included rice, oils, noodles, preserves, vegetables, fruit and chicken as well as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoos and detergents. It's the usual content of the support packages we share to the neediest. The family was brilliantly happy with the gifts and as a thank you they would send some fruit which we politely accepted.

The environmental project "Please keep Mae Phim clean" has resumed after the summer break, 2018-11-25.

Today, the environmental project "I am Ambassador for Please Keep Mae Phim Clean" has restarted after the summer break. It's like the former CK-Travel who is a sponsor. All fellow students are invited to participate and now 10 day old youths arrived. In addition, a Thai volunteer, Raija & B-O was in and picked up. Everyone gathered in the sala at Buffalo Bill and were welcomed by us. New skirts, gloves and pliers were handed out as well as freshly washed vests and caps. Because everyone knew what would be done, that all foreign objects should be picked up and everything left of nature left, the work could start at once. What is picked up is thus all kinds of plastic items, capsules in thousands, rugs, lighters etc. After half time, it is a well-deserved water break as before. Then the puck will continue until lunchtime, as the return to Restaurant Kitchen will give an opportunity to pick what was past. After everyone washed their hands, a well-deserved lunch was waiting for the restaurant. After lunch, thanks for a good work effort and CK-Tours rewarded the fellows with a generous money gift. The project will last every Sunday, starting at. 9:00 until 17 March. If there is someone who knows to attend, you are very welcome. You will not receive a donation but will be invited for lunch. If you do not want to join the cleaning you are welcome for lunch to invite the participants to an ice-cream. Today's glass sponsor was CK Tours Christer Kullberg, thank you very much for all of us who enjoyed the ice cream.

The last school visit of the semester, 2018-11-22.

Today and the last school visit to Wat Saranat Thammaram Primary School in Klaeng.  A fellow, a girl 14 years old, who is now leaving the final semester in the lower stage. The girl is very good at school and always close to the highest grade every semester. Her father is unknown and her mother has a new husband and does not want to feel at her. She now lives with her cancerous grandmother in a single rental room in Klaeng. They have a very tense economy so the CCT provides scholarships for all school expenses.

School visit, 2018-11-21.

Today's visit was to Hua Yiang Middle School School where we have a fellow student. It is the support family Suzanne & Tommy Lundström's boy, 12 years old. He´s a bit shy but nice and a happy guy with good grades in all subjects. He now begins the second term 5th grade in the lower stage. He lives with his older sister and mother. The mother has had double-sided breast cancer with both surgical and chemo treatment. She has recovered surprisingly well and is now working part-time. His sister, who has been a CCT fellow graduate, graduated in March from Rayong Technical College. She got a job right after school and can now contribute to the family's livelihood.

Collection of collected clothes at Garden Villas, 2018-11-20.

Lena Albinsson at Garden Villas has collected a lot of clothing that would give to the CCT's families. Clothing always finds new users either among our Thai families or at Klaeng Hospital. Thank you for your concern.

Planning for the continuation of the environmental project "Please Keep Mae Phim Clean", 2018-11-16.

On the initiative of CK Travel, Christer Kullberg & Tomas Kaufman, three years ago, coastal cleaning was started together with CCT's fellows. The fellow students were dubbed "I am Ambassador for Please Keep Mae Phim Clean" and every Saturday the beach was cleaned. After their three-hour pass, they received a generous money gift as well as lunch and transport to and from the beach, sponsored by CK Travel. Last year, the cleaning day was moved to Sunday, which fits better with regard to the municipality's cleaning.

Today we met to discuss possible continuation. Everyone concerned thinks it's a successful project so we decided to start Sunday 25th of November. There will be the same conditions as before for the fellows and the cleaning will be on Sunday as last season.

The project will therefore last every Sunday starting 25 November at. 9:00 until 17 March. If there is someone who knows to attend, you are very welcome. You will not receive a donation but will be invited for lunch. It is also very welcome with an ice-cream of sponsor for lunch at 12.30.

School visit, 2018-11-15.

Today's school visit was to Sunthonphu Pittaya High School, where we currently have five fellows. Because there are so many fellow students, it will be a full day visit.

The first fellow of the day was the support family Karin Frykberg's boy, 14 years old. He now begins the second semester in high school 2nd grade after finishing the first semester with great marks. He lives with his grandparents and two siblings as well as his father who has a severe disability. His oldest sister is one of the CCT college fellows who graduate in March

The other fellow of the day was a boy, 15 years old, who had the year from Chak Makrut High School. His retirement grade from the low school was among the best we have seen among boys, four hundredths of full pot. Even though we had a halt for new fellows, he was accepted. This is due in part to his living situation, his good grades and the fact that we got a new sponsor family, Agneta Christiernin & Agneta Furuvik, who covers some of his scholarships. He has continued to impress with grades from the first semester and now the second semester in the high school at almost full pot.

The third fellow was the support family RickMick's girl, 15 years, who passes the last term in the 3rd grade. She has excellent grades in all classes. In spring she begins the fourth year, which means a new tougher curriculum, we hope she will manage with shine. Song is one of her specialties that she often performs in the children's festivities. She lives with her mother in a small house that the mother built near her mother.

The fourth fellow of the day was a girl, 17 years old, who also goes the last semester in the 3rd grade. Like most of our fellows, she also has very good grades. In spring, she also begins the fourth year with a new tougher curriculum, we hope that she will also be able to shine. She lives with mom and dad and siblings in a rented house. Mom is sick so the dad is a single provider. He works as most of the poor as day-payers often on the building.

The fifth fellow was the support family, Mille Clareus girl, 18 years old, who is now leaving last year's final semester in high school. A very good and ambitious girl who has as her student goal to become a lawyer. She is now investing everything in the studies this last semester to get a final grade that next year can qualify her for university studies. The CCT is trying to pick up sponsors to fund the funding for her studies.

School visit, 2018-11-13.

Today's school visit went to Klaeng Wittayasata Worn High School. There are now three fellows. There are three girls aged 15-18 in classes 4 - 6.

The first fellow was Ingrid & Rutger Persson's girl. She has now begun the final semester in her final year in high school. After her grandfather quickly died this summer she now lives with her grandmother and a daring aunt. Her future plan is to qualify for university studies in languages, Chinese and English next year. The CCT is trying to pick up sponsors to fund the funding for her studies.

The other fellow was the support family, Judith Orrevik's girl. She has now begun the fourth year's final semester in high school. Her future plan is to qualify for the university's medical education after graduation. She is abandoned to her parents and has previously lived with grandfather & grandmother. Grandmother walked away in cancer a short time ago. Grandfather who is 83 years old is also sickly and has been moved to the province his wife came from because of her illness. The girl is now living with a friend until it possibly resembles another resident. She receives a monthly package of food and hygiene items. She also works in her spare time to try to manage her living.

The third and last fellows were also a girl, 18 years old. She has now begun the final semester in her final year in high school. Her future plan is to qualify for studies at the King Mongkut Institute of Chemical Science, Ladkrabang (Bangkok) next year. A very nice and talented fellow who certainly qualifies for these studies. She lives with her grandfather and grandmother who unfortunately does not have the finances for her plans for the future. The CCT is trying to pick up sponsors to fund the funding for her studies.

School visit, 2018-11-12.

Today's visit went to Wat Klaeng Kram low school where there are three fellowships. There are support families Ulf Lindberg, Ulla & Egon Bäckman and Gerd Stöckel & Åke Svensson's girls. They all have the last semester in the 5th grade. We have been following these girls for several years and they are always very talented with top marks in all subjects. After reviewing their needs for the term, they get all the new scholarships.

Next year, everyone will start at Shunthunpu High School for another six years of study.

First school visit for the winter season, 2018-11-08.

Our volunteer "Angel Kung" has since been in charge of all contacts with the schools. After this first visit, she has planned and booked for all fellows in the coming weeks.

Today's school visit to the high school, Makudmuang Ratchawitthayalai. It is the support family Stefan Björk & Ann Windmar's boy, 13 years, who has scored very first grade first year's first semester in this school. He has more than qualified for a new scholarship. He has had a hard-to-see messy life with several moves back and forth but is now back with a must-have in Klaeng.

The school, which lies a little on the outskirts of Klaeng, is the best school in the area and therefore the most expensive. Here you have less classes with more support from the teachers to the students.

Like other high school schools, this school also sends info to students by mail. The teacher pointed out that he had no phone with the internet which he had to have. Since CCT has no means for this, we bought a suitable phone for him to get the best possible home assignments.

Back in Thailand, 2018-11-05.

After a fantastic summer in Sweden, we are back in our second home in Mae Phim. Autumn was on track so it's wonderful to spend the winter months here. School start now, so CCT's activities are first prio. First action will be talks with CCT's Thai volunteers for agreement on the appropriate date and time of a meeting. Already tomorrow, there will be a meeting with the volunteer who manages all contacts for planning school visits. On the same day, we will also meet the other volunteer who handles the purchase and delivery of support packages for information on the family's family situation.

Activities 2018 May - October.

During our stay in Sweden, our Thai volunteers deal with schools and fellows. They also make purchases and delivery of individually tailored support packages to the neediest families. Swedish and Norwegian support families provide a monthly contribution to support packages and scholarships. Each month, volunteers send detailed report on purchase, after our check, the report is redirected to the respective support family. From the end of March and throughout April there has been school leave and in May, the summer term of Primary & Secondary School and Technic Rayong College started. All fellows came in good order for school start and will now do their best during the summer months for the next vacation starting in October.

The university has a different term classification so these fellows started the first semester of the year in January and have summer holidays June July and start the autumn term in August.

A fellow, Ulla & Egon Bäckman's girl, received another sponsor family during the summer. The girl has a hard handicap due to an accident in childhood and lives with grandparents in very fiery conditions. We therefore need extra help for her and we therefore welcome May-Liss and Roy Ödegård as an additional support family. The extra family support has been done in agreement with Egon & Ulla. During the summer Ödegårds has started a rush to build with their municipality together with the municipality so that they have a nice room with close ceilings. Some furniture, clothes and other much needed items have also been delivered to the new room.

A fellow, Ingrid & Rutger Persson's girl, has lost her grandfather. It was a very happy and bright 78 year old who quickly died of a myocardial infarction. Persson was through the CCT's Thai volunteer and sponsored the funeral. By the way, there have been no serious events reported in the summer.

Summary of the winter term 2017 - 2018.

The winter season 2017 - 2018 has been very contentious, with almost only positive events. The season started on November 1st with a meeting with Thai volunteers for a review of the summer term. No news that had not reported previously appeared. King started by planning and booking school visits to work together with teachers / supervisors to review the fellow students' grades, economics and home relationships. A few days later, school visits start for the autumn term, visits are ongoing until the end of November. This season, there are twenty-one fellowships distributed among ten schools where study results, finances and home relationships will be followed up and new fellowships will be paid.

The season's environmental project "Please Keep Mae Phim Clean" is scheduled to start on November 19th and last until March 18th. As before, CK Resident Christer Kullberg & Tomas Kaufman are sponsors for this. During that time, almost all Sundays, we have participated and supported the participating fellows. During the winter we have had several visits to "volunteers" who helped and showed great interest in the project.

Two brothers who are fellow students have lost their residence because of that the uncle they lived with quickly died. This is the second time in a few years they become homeless. Last time, their parents died every couple of months and they lost their homes. Now it seems that they can get a new roof over the head of another uncle. We hope it will be until they finish their university studies and can support themselves.

In January, it was time for the season's trip, sponsored for the fifth year by Christer Kullberg CK-Tours. The tour guide was Tomas Kaufmann together with his partner Lek. Excursion this time became FROST Magical ice of Siam which includes The Himmapan sand sculpture park and the ice sculpture exhibition Siam Heaven. Also nearby are Pattaya Bird Park, Pattaya Fairytale Park and Pattaya sheep farm. Visitors to these attractions also visited. It all started with a collection at Hotel Princess. Besides us, there were nineteen fellows, two Thai volunteers and one of CK Tours participants called Gerd Perols and are teachers in Sweden. After visiting all attractions, it was time to search the bus for return. Gerd praised the fellow students for their good discipline that far exceeded what she used to from Swedish students. Upon returning to Princess after this full day trip, it was a tired but very pleased gang that thanked Tomas with a greeting to Christer for a very nice outing.

Every year in early January, there is Children Day in schools. It starts early in the morning with a monk parade. Then there are games, competitions and games all day until evening. This year there were also competitions between Swedish school students and students from Kram school. In the evening, it's time for the big party where the students entertain with singing and dancing. Already in the afternoon, a large number of local entrepreneurs and ranches raise their food levels and offer food to everyone, both students and visitors. We have three fellows, girls, at different ages in this school and everyone would participate in different performances. Tradition is that relatives buy colourful wreaths that hang around the neck of the "artists" to congratulate the appearance, and they also get a slap in their hand. The wreaths then go back and sell again and the money for the sale goes to school activities.

There have also been some gifts consisting of second-hand things. There are clothes of all sizes, soft toys, mattresses, sun loungers, etc. We are primarily distributed to our fellows.

Everything that does not fit there gives us to the hospital in Klaeng, which has lots of poor patients who are very excited about these things. One of our support families, Karin Frykberg, contributed to this with 50 kg of clothes and soft toys she collected among friends and acquaintances.

Together with support families and ourselves, we have visited the fellow students at home to see how the situation is. In connection with the visits, we have always provided a support package with food and hygiene items and second hand clothes. We have also, on behalf of support families, taken fellows to department stores to provide them with the necessary clothes.

In spring, when the last semester of the school year ended, two fellows graduated from College. They have now received a good vocational education, their key to the future, and it has opened up for good wage-paid employment for both. This is what the CCT's utilities aim at, a good education, a good employment and a good prerequisite for a safe future. A fellow student has qualified for university studies and two fellows for college studies. A fellow, a girl, has been "taken over" by their support families Katarina & Kjell Sundbäcks and Lisa & Björn Petersson due to that she has a hard time meeting the CCT rating requirements. CCT takes do not enter new fellows due to the fact that a number of now attend higher education programs that are very costly. After the departures of the season, now the number of fellows is twenty-three.

We need more sponsors who can help fund scholarships for higher education. Those who know to help poor but talented and ambitious young people to a good education that can safeguard their future are more than welcome with contributions. See our website, childcare.in.th for information on different payment options.

The season's finale was a meeting with our Thai colonists to make sure everything will work with school contacts and delivery of support packages during the summer time when we are in Sweden.

Environmental project 19th and last Sunday for the season completed, 2018-03-18.

Today there were eleven job-fired fellows and our volunteer Kung. The other volunteer, Pao, is still prevented because of that her mother had an accident incident. Some fellows have already started their vacation job and some have a tentative exam for the next semester so we can satisfy ourselves with this number. After equipment with clothes, tools and sack bags, the force was divided into two layers, one that cleaned west and one east.

Again, we received a reminder of what environmental destroyers, primarily, the Thai people are. Spills of rubbish are washed up on the beach previously dumped in the ocean. The winds have been unfavourable so there was a lot to fill the bags with. A lot of junk after the beach guests was also found in the halls and the upper part of the beach. After half past time it became a well-deserved water break as usual. After returning to the kitchen and after everyone washed their hands awaited a well-deserved lunch at the restaurant. After lunch, the fellows were awarded a generous money gift of CK journeys. Today's most popular people became Christer Kullberg & Tomas Kaufman who came to visit lunch to thank the fellows for a well-completed cleaning season. The scholars expressed their thanks for the opportunity to participate and improve the environment as well as the generous money gift that CK journeys distributed to them at every cleaning occasion. By the end, Christer & Tomas invited all the participants to any ice cream section, which is usually much appreciated. This was the final cleaning of the season, but both sponsors and participants promise that the next season will start next October and will last March.

The last school visit of the semester, 2018-03-15.

Today's second and the last school visit to Wat Saranat Thammaram Primary School in Klaeng. There goes a fellow, a girl 13 years old, who moved your last semester and is now going to start the 5th grade.

School visit, 2018-03-15.

Today's first school visit was to Rayong Technical College, where we have five fellows in various vocational programs, all girls. Two of these take the exam but we enter two new ones, also girls, so the number remains unchanged. The first meeting was with the support family Roy & May-Liss Ödegård's girl who studies the economics line. She finishes the final term with a very good term rating. She has already begun working at an accounting firm where she likes to be very well. She is also very popular with her employer. She now earns well with money and can support her grandmother and little sister she lives with. Another fellow who got a key to the future through CCT's scholarships, a good education. The other fellow of the day was with the support family Karin Frykberg's girl studying on the hotel line. She has just finished the first year's second term with top marks, best in class. She lives on campus and only goes home once a month. During the weekends she is on campus she teaches other students in drawing and earns a good pocket money. The third fellow student is studying at the craft line where she started right after third grade in high school. She has now passed the first year's second semester with very good grades. Due to a long journey, she now wishes to stay on campus so she arrives in time for the early morning gatherings. An increased cost but for a good fellow, it is obvious that CCT pays for this. The fourth fellow was with the support family, Tomas Julin's girl, studying trade and economics. She has also passed the first year's second semester with success, she is among the top five in the class. A nice and thoughtful girl who always shows her gratitude not only with words but by making a spice of game material she gives to Tomas. The fifth and last fellow of the day was with the support family Suzanne & Tommy Lundström's girl who studies trade and economics. She finishes the final semester with a good graduation certificate. She has already begun working and can now help her mother and little brother with the supply. The mother has been hardly cancerous and has not yet fully rehabilitated so the family's economy is in great need of this supplement. Another fellow who got a key to the future through CCT's scholarships, a good education. Then it was time to enter the two new fellows. The first one girl, 18 years old, one of CCT's first fellows has now finished high school and qualified for college. She will start a two-year education in Economics & Trade. She has always lived with her grandmother because her mother left her and the father is dead. Grandmother is retired and deducts her pension from manufacturing and selling Thai desserts. The other also a girl, 17 years old, is the fellow graduate from third grade in high school to college. She will begin a three-year education in accounting. She lives with her aunt and her family since she has been left by her parents. The aunt recently had a stroke and is partially paralyzed. Her support family abandoned her this spring so it's very tough for the family right now. The CCT gives her scholarships for school expenses and hopefully aunt gets aunt and can start working again. The girl has used the opportunity to apply for vocational education after completing the first three compulsory years in high school. An opportunity that is reserved for talented students. A great way to get a quicker education and get to work and to help your family with the living.

School visit, 2018-03-14.

Today's school visit went to Klaeng Wittayasata Worn High School. There are now five fellows. There are five girls aged 15-18 in classes 3 to 6. Two of the girls finish their last semester and move on one to college and the other to the university. The first fellow was the support family Katarina & Kjell Sundbäck's girl who graduates with very good grades. She has qualified for studies at King Mongkut's Institute of Chemical Science, Ladkrabang (Bangkok), the education is four years. For studies at the university, she has received another support family, Stefan Björk & Ann Windmar, who sponsors 30% of the cost of the university. Remaining funding is covered by a Thai company, CCT and a smaller own initiative.

The other fellowship was one of CCT's first fellows who also graduated with good grades. She has qualified for studies at Rayong Technical College, Economics & Trade, the education is two years.

The third fellow was the Ingrid & Rutger Persson's support family. She is now going to start her sixth and final year in high school. Her future plan is to qualify for university studies in languages, Chinese and English next year.

The fourth fellow was the support family, Judith Orrevik's girl. She will now start her fourth year in high school. Her future plan is to qualify for the university's medical education after graduation. She is abandoned to her parents and lives with grandfather and grandmother. Grandmother is hardly ill in cancer and has only short time left. Grandfather 83 is also ill and can only work sporadically. She is a support package each month with food and hygiene items. In addition, she has to work in her spare time to try to manage the family's livelihood.

The fifth and last fellows were also a girl, 18 years old. She is now going to start her sixth and final year in high school. The CCT is trying to pick up sponsors to manage the funding for her.

Environmental project 18th Sunday completed, 2018-03-11.

Today, nine job-seekers and our volunteer Kung came.

It was not as much as last Sunday so we managed it just within the time frame. A lot of beach guests also leave lots of junk in the halls and the upper part of the beach. After half past time it became a well-deserved water break as usual. After returning to the Kitchen and that everyone washed their hands awaited a well-deserved lunch at the restaurant. After lunch, the fellows were awarded a generous money gift of CK journeys. Today's most popular person Today's most popular people became Marny & Björn Slinning who invited all participants to any glass section. As usual, much appreciated, thanks from all of us. If there is someone who knows to attend, you are very welcome. You will not receive a donation but will be invited for lunch. If you do not want to join the puck you are welcome for lunch to invite the participants with a glass. The project is ongoing every Sunday, starting at. 9:00 until 18 March.

School visit, 2018-03-10.

Today's school visit became a new high school, Makudmuang Ratchawitthayalai. A school that lies a bit on the outskirts of Klaeng and, as we first thought, was a simple and cheap school. But it was just the opposite, it is the best school and therefore the most expensive in Klaeng. Here you have less classes with more support from the teachers to the students. He was awarded this school through a kind of quota because his father came from the area. It is the support family Stefan Björk & Ann Windmar's boy, 12 years, who will start the first semester in the 1st grade in this school in May. Recent times have been quite fierce for him. He lost his mother in cancer a couple of years ago and then moved to a aunt in Ban Neandin Dang who was twin with his mother. During the last semester, he moved to a different place to work, and then moved to another aunt in Klaeng. Now, when he starts in high school, the first aunt has come back and he has to move back there. A little messy for a young guy but he's calm and sensible so it's going to go well.

School visit, 2018-03-09.

Today's school visit was to Sunthonphu Pittaya High School, where we currently have seven fellows. Because there are so many fellow students, it will be a full day visit.

The first meeting was with the support families Katarina & Kjell Sundbäck and Lisa & Björn Petersson's girl. She finishes the second semester in high school 1st grade. After the first semester, she made a real grade lift compared to the low grade graduation rating. For this term, the grades are not ready yet, with an indication that she was sleeping for a bit. This probably because she had another responsible teacher who did not carefully check her. Now the old teacher promises to keep an eye on her so she's hanging out. Previously, it has been decided by the support families that she is switched from CCT and that the support families themselves take care of her and her little sister in the future. The oldest sister is still in the CCT where we try to find funding for her university studies.

The other fellow of the day was the support family Karin Frykberg's boy. He also finishes the second semester in high school 1st grade and has previously finished the first semester with great marks. After completing the first year, it is indicated that he has an increase in the grade to wait.

The third fellow for the day was the new fellow student who came from Chak Makrut's lower school last spring. His retirement grade from the low school was among the best we saw among boys, four hundredths of full pot. He continued to impress with a grade from the first semester in the high school at almost full pot. When the second term is over, it is expected that he will keep the same level.

The fourth fellow was the support family RickMick's girl finishing the last term in the 2nd grade. She has excellent grades in all classes. Song is one of her specialties that she often performs on the children's festivities. She lives with her mother in a small house that the mother built near her mother.

The fifth fellow of the day was a girl who even finishes the final term in the 2nd grade. Like most of our fellows, she also has very good grades. She lives with mom and dad and siblings in a rented house. Mom is sick so the dad is a single provider. He works as most of the poor as day-payers often on the building. Normally, the first school year in high school will be just as big a conversion with some grades but it seems that these fellows managed well without a significant drop.

The sixth fellow was the support family, Mille Clareus girl, who begins in May last year in high school. A very good and ambitious girl who has as her student goal to become a lawyer. She is now investing everything on the studies this last year to obtain a final grade as next year may qualify her for university studies.

The seventh and last fellowship was a third-grade graduate and immediately qualified for studies at Rayong Technical College. She is very talented and ambitious and has now decided to study the financial line there. She lives with her mother's family under very simple conditions. Aunt has just suffered from stroke and is partially paralyzed and cannot work. To contribute to the supply, girl helps in the family of fishing all school days. The girl has previously had a support family who supported food and money for school. Because of changing circumstances, they have abandoned her now this spring when she needs both support Because of changed circumstances, they have abandoned her this spring when she needs support for both school and dentist. We have advertised for someone who can become her new support family but haven´t found anything yet.

School visit, 2018-03-06.

Today's third visit was to Hua Yiang low school where we have a fellow student. It is the support family Suzanne & Tommy Lundström's boy, 11 years old. It's a bit shy but nice and happy guy with good grades in all subjects. He will start the 5th grade in the lower stage now in May. He lives with his older sister and mother. The mother has had double-sided breast cancer with both surgical and chemo treatment. Last winter, it was really fierce for the family when it was unclear how everything would happen. Now it seems to be on the right track. The mother has pigged to and got back her hair and can now take some stretch work to test the forces. His sister, who is also a CCT fellow, is now taking a master's degree from Rayong Technical College in March. She already has a job where she can start immediately after school and contribute to the family's livelihood.

School visit, 2018-03-06.

Today's second visit was to Wat Noensai low school where we entered a new student, Katarina & Kjell Sundbäck's support families, as well as Lisa & Björn Petersson's girl. According to previous agreement, the support families themselves should take care of this girl and an older sister to her. We only showed which routines the CCT has so they can continue with the same. The oldest university student will remain in the CCT.

Now spring school visit, 2018-03-06.

The first visit was to Wat Klaeng Kram low school, where there are three fellowships. There are support families Ulf Lindberg, Ulla & Egon Bäckman and Gerd Stöckel & Åke Svensson's girls who go all the last semester in the 5th grade. We have been following these girls for several years and they are always very talented with top marks in all subjects. After reviewing their needs for the term, they get all the new scholarships.

Dividend of collected clothes, 2018-03-04.

After the beach cleaning today at lunch time, it was time for the distribution of some collected clothes. It's Gun-Marie & Leif Taube that lighten some on the wardrobe. A number of very nice clothes and shoes found their happy new owners. A big thank you from the fellows of Gun-Marie & Leif.

Environmental Project 17th Sunday, 2018-03-04.

Today, seven job-fellow fellows and our volunteer Kung came. The other volunteer, Pao, is still prevented because of that her mother had an accident incident. The number of fellows will be reduced because the semester's exams have begun which are often done on Saturday and Sunday. After equipment with clothes, tools and sack bags, the force was divided into two layers, one that cleaned west and one east. Today, the sea would show what environmental destructors primarily the Thai people are by returning a lot of junk to the beach previously dumped in the ocean. There was so much junk that we did not have a chance to complete the full stretch of three hours. It would need seven to eight hours to clean up everything. Now we hope that the municipality's cleaning rod will take care of the rest of the coming week. It has been "Long Beach Festival" for two days so there was also plenty of junk in the halls and the upper part of the beach. There, thankfully, the municipality's cleaners were already on the verge of messing up that mess. Today there were two well-deserved water breaks because the temples showed 33 and the sun was gassing. The first break was the ordinary and for the second break a friendly Thai came and invited drinks. Today it was picked up after lunchtime so we were picked up by car and did not pick up the return. After everyone washed their hands, a lunch was waiting in the restaurant. After lunch, the fellows were awarded a generous money gift of CK journeys. If there is someone who knows to attend, you are very welcome. You will not receive a donation but will be invited for lunch. If you do not want to join the cleaning you are welcome for lunch to invite the participants with an ice-cream. The project is ongoing every Sunday, starting at. 9:00 until 18 March.

Environmental project 16th Sunday completed, 2018-02-25.

Today eight job-fired fellows and our volunteer Kung came. The other volunteer, Pao, was prevented because of that her mother had an accident incident. The number of fellows will be reduced due to this time because the semester's exams have begun which are often done on Saturday and Sunday. After equipment with clothes, tools and sack bags, the power was ready to start.

In addition to the fellows, Per Sandberg and the support family Stefan Björk & Ann Windmar and their girls Lea & Lova joined. Thus, it became a good cleaning thread divided into two layers, one that cleaned west and one east. Today there was not much waste from the ocean. As usual, Thai tourists have left a lot of things, so many bags were filled. After a well-deserved water break, the puck continues until lunchtime, as the return to Restaurant Kitchen gives an opportunity to pick what was past. After everyone washed their hands, a well-deserved lunch was waiting for the restaurant. Today, Per and the support family girls Lea and Love invited to the ice cream and became today's most popular people.

Visit with support family to a fellow with support package, 2018-02-24.

Together with the support family Stefan Björk & Ann Windmar and their girls Lea & Lova we visited their fellow students. It is a boy, 12 years, who passes the final term in the lower stage. When his mother got cancer two years ago, he received this thoughtful support family. After the mother's death, he was allowed to move to aunt Ban Neandin dang. During the last semester, he moved to a different province to work and left him alone in the house. After the noise from school, our Thai volunteer arranged him to move again, now to an aunt in Klaeng. There he has received a much better accommodation than the little house on the rubber plant. He will also get closer to school when he begins high school in May. We now hold the thumbs that this will be a permanent residence for him so he will have peace and quiet and can concentrate on the studies.

On the way to Klaeng, the support family purchased a helper package of food and hygiene items that were thankfully received.

Environmental project 15th Sunday completed, 2018-02-18.

Today, five job fellow students and our volunteer Kung came. The other volunteer, Pao, was prevented because that her mother had an accident incident. The number of fellows will be reduced due to this time because semester's exams have begun which are often done on Saturday and Sunday. After equipment with clothes, tools and sack bags, the power was ready to start. Again there have been some winds in the west and then there will be a lot of junk from the ocean. As usual, Thai tourists have left a lot of things, so many bags were filled. After a well-deserved water break, the cleaning continues until lunchtime, as the return to Restaurant Kitchen gives an opportunity to pick what was past. After everyone washed their hands, a well-deserved lunch was waiting for the restaurant. After lunch, the fellows were awarded a generous money gift of CK journeys. If there is someone who knows to attend, you are very welcome. You will not receive a donation but will be invited for lunch. If you do not want to join the puck you are welcome for lunch to invite the participants with a glass. The project is ongoing every Sunday, starting at. 9:00 until 18 March. To today's lunch, nobody came and wanted to be todays most popular by inviting everyone on ice cream.

Environmental project 14th Sunday completed, 2018-02-11.

Today, seven job-fired fellows and our volunteers came to Kung & Pao. The term's exams have begun so some fellows are prevented from coming. After equipment with clothes, tools and sack bags, the power was ready to start.

We were then informed by one of the fellows that a group of students from Sunthonphu School would come to the beach and clean. It is a part of the school's environmental education that students do a cleaning effort somewhere in the municipality for a few hours. To coordinate the work with the additional students, today a group started at one end of the beach. When eventually the others arrived they had to form their own group and start from another place. It turned out that our fellows cleaned faster and eventually became a large group of all. The winds have been a bit western so today there was a lot of junk from the ocean. As usual, Thai tourists have left a lot of things, so many bags were filled. After a well-deserved water break, the cleaning continues until lunchtime, as the return to Restaurant Kitchen gives an opportunity to pick what was past. After the departure, the guests from Sunthonphu School went home and our walk went to the Kitchen. After everyone washed their hands, a well-deserved lunch was waiting for the restaurant. After lunch, fellows were awarded a generous money gift of CK Travel. If there is someone who knows to attend, you are very welcome. You will not receive a donation but will be invited for lunch. If you do not want to join the puck you are welcome for lunch to invite the participants with an icecream. The project is ongoing every Sunday, starting at. 9:00 until 18 March. Till today's lunch came the support family Ulf Lindberg and invited everyone on ice cream, which is always much appreciated.

Dividend of collected clothes from Garden Villas & Sea view, 2018-02-11.

Even today in connection with the lunch after beach cleaning, it was time for the distribution of a portion of the collected clothes. It was part of the fellows who were not present at the last moment who were given a selection of suitable clothes. A big thank you from the fellows to all involved donors.

Dividend of collected clothes from Garden Villas & Sea view, 2018-02-04.

Today at lunch after the beach cleaning, it was time for the first distribution of the collected clothes. Some were already addressed and were given directly to each recipient. The remaining were loaded in sizes of a number of tables. Then they were allowed to choose what they liked from appropriate sizes. It was only ladies and girl’s clothes so it was a rush like the best deal in a store. Basically everything found its new owners magazine happy fellows. A big thank you from the fellows to all involved donors. Some remaining items will be handed over directly to some who we know need them and those who do not find their new owners will then be handed over to aids at the hospital.

Environmental project 13th Sunday completed, 2018-02-04.

Today, nine job-seekers and our volunteers came to Kung & Pao. The term's exams have begun so some fellows are prevented from coming. After equipment with clothes, tools and sack bags, the strength is divided into two layers and work can start. Today the winds had been favourable because there is almost no junk from the sea. Thai tourists, on the other hand, one can always trust that they leave behind so that a lot of bags were filled. After a well-deserved water break, the puck continues until lunchtime, as the return to Restaurant Kitchen gives an opportunity to pick what was past. After everyone washed their hands, a well-deserved lunch was waiting for the restaurant. After lunch, the fellows were awarded a generous money gift of CK journeys.

If there is someone who knows to attend, you are very welcome. You will not receive a donation but will be invited for lunch. If you do not want to join the puck you are welcome for lunch to invite the participants with an icecream. The project is ongoing every Sunday, starting at. 9:00 until 18 March.

At today's lunch there was no guest who felt like coming and offering ice cream. But since everyone did a good job they became ice cream at the expense of the CK-Tours.

Collection of collected clothes at Sea view, 2018-02-02.

The support family Katarina & Kjell Sundbäck has collected clothes and other for homes and households from housing in the house. We picked up a huge load of an estimated 80 kg. After a thorough work on sorting and washing, the items were placed in boxes with the intended recipient's name. Dividends will be made on a timely basis. What may not be his new owner will take us to the hospital in Klaeng.

Collection of collected clothes at Garden Villas, 2018-01-31.

The support family Ulla & Egon Bäckman at Garden Villas has had cleaning in their drawers and wardrobes. We picked up a lot of clothes and other things they would give to the CCT's families. Clothing and other things for home and household always find new users either among our Thai families or at Klaeng Hospital. Thank you for your concern.

Visit to Kram School's Studio, 2018-01-30.

Together with the support family Gerd Stöckel & Åke Svensson and daughter Lina with cohabitant Georgii, we visited Kram School's studio to see the artwork that their girl produced. She makes three-dimensional paintings of materials that are mostly collected from nature. The paintings always tell a historical Thai motif. She is very good and has placed herself in the top in both the province and national competitions. The school principal and the girl's assistant teacher told us about the activities and the paintings. Very well-made artwork that impressed us all.

Dividend of gifts from Tine football school, 2018-01-28.

Support family Roy & May Liss Ödegård has on several occasions donated gifts from Tine football school to our fellows. Today at lunch after the beach cleaning it was time again. There were jerseys, water bottles and backpacks that were received with great joy and gratitude by the present fellows.

Environmental project 12th Sunday completed, 2018-01-28.

Today, eleven unemployed fellows and our volunteers came to Kung & Pao. After equipment with clothes, tools and sack bags, the strength is divided into two layers and work can start. Now there have been some Western winds for a few days and it always produces junk from the ocean. With the garbage that Thai tourists leave behind, a lot of bags were filled. The project is ongoing every Sunday, starting at. 9:00 until 18 March.

If there is someone who knows to attend, you are very welcome. You will not receive a donation but will be invited for lunch. If you do not want to join the puck you are welcome for lunch to invite the participants with a glass.

Guests to today's lunch were the support family Gerd Stöckel & Åke Svensson who came to meet “their girl" who usually participates in the cleaning. Of course, Gerd & Åke invited everyone to ice-cream. It was everything from a bowl of ice cream to large banana slices folded as usual was much appreciated.

Today it became a very unusual cleaning day when only two fellows came. Part of the reason was that the driver who picked up at the schools probably overslept and then the youth gave up waiting. In any case, it was cleaned by two fellows and two Thai volunteers. Lunch, ice cream and money became common to the participants.

CK-Travel has a joint dinner with a collection for CCT, 2018-01-14.

During a joint dinner for CK-Tours participants, Gerd Perols told her fellow travelers about the trip with CCT's students. Gerd shared her impressions from the excursion, including the students' good conduct was emphasized. Afterwards, our collection box was sent to all participants and 2 520 THB was the result. A big thank you to Gerd for her efforts to market the CCT and also a big thank you to all donors.

Environmental Project 10th Sunday, 2018-01-14.

Today there was no cleaning day because all fellows were invited to this year's excursion which was more interesting than money and the environment.

CK-Tours invites CCT's fellows on a trip, 2017-01-14.

Fellowships annual trip was sponsored for the fifth year by Christer Kullberg CK-Tours. The tour guide was Tomas Kaufmann together with his partner Lek.

At the end of last year's trip to Koh Samed, no children had any idea of the next excursion.

When the beach project "Please Keep Mae Phim Clean" started this fall, participants received suggestions for the year's excursion. Then came proposals for FROSTMagical ice of Siam, which include The Himmapan sand sculpture park and the ice sculpture exhibition Siam Heaven.

After visiting Christer and Tomas decided that this will be the year's excursion. In addition, they surprised the children to visit Pattaya Bird Park, Pattaya fairy-tale park and Pattaya sheep farm.

It all started with a meeting at Hotel Princess. Besides us, there were nineteen fellows, two Thai volunteers and one of CK-Tours participants called Gerd Perols who is a teachers in Sweden. Gerd was a very nice acquaintance who immediately became acquainted with the fellows and also donated a money to the CCT.

After one and a half hours of a VIP bus ride and with singing songs from many of the fellow students, we came to Frost where Himmapan became the first stop. A big exhibition of great Thai sago characters in white sand. Then there was lunch which was taken in the restaurant while checking in to Heaven, the ice cream room. After lunch, everyone had borrowed warm shoes, socks, socks, earmuffs and long jackets. Then into the big ice cream room where the temperature is -10 degrees, a cold as none of the fellows previously experienced. In addition to beautiful ice sculptures there are ice-skating slides, an ice-cream bar where drinks are served in ice-cream and many places for nice photos. The slides were among the most appreciated and it was difficult despite the cold to get everyone out in the heat again. Well out, Tomas served hot chocolate drink to help restore body temperature. Although we have a certain habit of winter weather, the 10 minus degrees were very cold.

Next attraction, Bird Park, we arrived after a quick warming walk. There various birds showed their skills. There were big and small parrots, tukans and falcons, which gave them the opportunity to feed and hold for photography. It was a really nice experience.

Then we walked through the fairy-tale where all our old fairy tales were represented. Alice in Wonderland, Red Riding Hood, Three Little Pigs, Pinocchio, Snow White and all other well-known fairy tales.

The last stop was Sheep Farm, where the fellows were given the opportunity to feed and pat on all the animals. Most of them had not seen these animals alive before, so it was much appreciated.

After this visit, it was time for return. During the whole trip, Gerd praised the fellow students for their good discipline, which far exceeded what she used to from Swedish students. After returning to Princess after a whole-day trip, it was a tired but very happy bunch that thanked Tomas with a greeting to Christer for a very nice outing.

Visit to fellow with support package, 2018-01-13.

Today's visit was to the support family Agneta Furuvik and Agneta Christiernin's boy, 15, who is our last approved fellow. He had a low grade graduation grade which was among the best we seen. After the first semester in Sunthonphu High School, the rating is on top again. It is quite unique because the move up to the high school is a major change, which usually gives a slight decrease in the grade level. He is a real gentleman, polite and helpful, and is very popular with the teachers of the school. He lives with his grandmother and aunt in a simple house out at the fish farms. His father died when he was six months old and his mother died when he was five years old. They live under very scarce circumstances so the support package was very welcome. It contained it as all families always need, rice, oils, noodles, preserves, vegetables, fruit and chicken as well as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoos and detergents. Thank you very much for the sponsorship sponsors who give a little gold edge to this guy.

Children Day, 2017-01-12.

Then it was time for Children's Day in Thailand's schools. The school we visit is Wat Klang Hug Community Primary School. There the children's day begins in the morning with monks pared around the school area where custodians and children give gifts to the monks.

Then it goes on with all kinds of games and competitions between the students. This year there were also competitions between Swedish school students and students from Kram School.

In the evening, it's time for the big party where the students entertain with singing and dancing. We have three fellows, girls, at different ages in this school and everyone would participate in different performances. Tradition is that relatives buy colourful wreaths that hang around the neck of the "artists" to congratulate the appearance, and they also get a coin in their hand. The wreaths then go back and sell again and the money for the sale goes to school activities.

Around the school area, it offers good food and drinks of all kinds. Everything is free, it is sponsored by local business owners, so it's just taking care of the stomach saying stop. During our trip around the foodstuffs we met our fellow students who were also hungry. The first part of the party is the talk of different school functionary, of which we do not understand anything. We met a support family, Suzanne, Tommy & Max Lundström, who were there to celebrate.

A little later, the performance will start, first with pupils from preschool and then with older students. Our first fellow to perform was Gerd Stöckel & Åke Svensson's girl who, together with other students, performed a fantastic song and dance number. The reward was wreathing around the neck and a coin in his hand. Before the next appearance, it became mingling with both Swedish and Thai friends. Later it became a dance-performing dedicated to the king where the support families, Ulf Lindberg and Ulla & Egon Bäckman's girls participated. It's a big dance show, so there's a lot of turmoil at the scene with relatives who are going to encourage gifts. But after a while we arrived and both girls were rewarded with wreaths and money.

The time was late, all fellows had participated, we were fed up and tired so it just left to thank the present teachers for a nice arrangement and turn home.

Visit with support family to fellows with support packages, 2018-01-10.

Together with the support family Suzanne, Tommy & Max Lundström, we visited their fellows. It's a 19-year-old girl who goes to Rayong Technical College and her 11-year-old brother, who goes 4th grade in the middle class. They live with their mother who has suffered from cancer. The mother who was very ill and depressed last year has recovered surprisingly well and is now back as the happy person she was before. We keep all the thumbs for sickness not to come back so the family has a nice future together. The mother still cannot work more than any day every now and then, so the support package was received with great gratitude. From Lena we also had some second-hand shoes for the boy.

Visit to fellow with support package, 2018-01-08.

Today's visit was to the support family Ingrid & Rutger Persson's girl who lives with grandmother and grandfather. It's a happy, ambitious and talented girl who is now in the 5th grade in high school. One of her favourite subjects she is very good at is drawing. In the weekend, she is therefore allowed to practice her skills as a teacher in drawing for younger students. Today's support package included rice, oils, noodles, preserves, vegetables, fruit and chicken as well as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoos and detergents. It's the usual content of the support packages we share to the neediest. The family was happy with the gifts and sends a big thank via us to Ingrid & Rutger for the support package.

Collection of collected clothes at Garden Villas, 2018-01-08.

Lena Albinsson at Garden Villas has brought a lot of clothes and shoes that they would give to the CCT's families. Clothes and shoes always find new users either among our Thai families or at Klaeng Hospital. Thank you for your concern.

9th Sunday Environmental Project, 2018-01-07.

Back from Christmas holidays, we participate again in the environmental project "Please Keep Mae Phim Clean". Today twelve fellows and our volunteers came to Kung & Pao. All participants have been involved so many times that any instructions for equipment are no longer needed. The beach is still very clean, almost no garbage from the ocean. On the other hand, there is no change in the amount of junk that Thai tourists leave behind. After a well-deserved water break, the cleaning continues until lunchtime, as the return to Restaurant Kitchen gives an opportunity to pick what was past. After everyone washed their hands, a lunch was waiting on the restaurant. After lunch, the fellows were awarded a generous money gift of CK journeys. The project is ongoing every Sunday, starting at. 9:00 until 18 March. If there is anyone who wants to join, you are very welcome. You will not receive a donation but will be invited for lunch. If you do not want to join the cleaning.  You are welcome for lunch to invite the participants with an ice-cream. Today, everyone was rewarded with an ice-cream sponsored by CK Travel because no other sponsor signed up.

Delivery of collected clothes and soft toys, 2018-01-03.

Today we have visited the Klaeng hospital to deliver clothes and soft toys from the support family Karin Frykberg's collection. After inventing the collection and selection of a part that suits our Thai families, the remaining has been delivered to the hospital. There are always poor families who are happy to receive these gifts. At the moment, it was extra good with children's clothes and soft toys because it's soon becoming Children's Day, which is also celebrated at the hospital. To Karin, we and all recipients send a big thanks for caring and fine collection.

Environmental Project 4th to 8th Sunday, 2017-12-10 until 31:st.

During our Christmas vacation in Sweden, four beach cleaning services have been carried out by fellow students and Thai volunteers. The number of unemployed fellows has varied. The same routines as previously mentioned means assembly outside the Buffalo Bill for equipment as skirts, gloves and pliers, vests and caps. The beach has been very clean from junk from the ocean but a lot of junk that Thai tourists leave behind has been picked up. After half time it is a water break. Then the cleaning will continue until lunchtime, after that return to Restaurant Kitchen will. After everyone has washed their hands, a well-deserved lunch was waiting on the restaurant. Sponsorship of the university's studies.

One of CCT's fellow students, a very talented and ambitious girl, has been admitted to university studies at King Mongkut's Institute of Chemical Science, Ladkrabang (Bangkok). We are now looking for sponsors for her scholarships. The education is four years old, and all costs 125,000 THB per year. We are looking for one or more sponsors who can commit to an annual grant to contribute to the cost of these fellowships. Help us to help this clever girl to get her key to the future, Education. Interested are welcome to contact info@childcare.in.th

Christmas & New Year's Greetings.

To you who sponsored the CCT's utility program with money and other gifts during the year, we want to make a great thank you, together with our fellow graduates, and a Happy Christmas, a Happy New Year and a wonderful year to come.

Fellows win competitions, 2017-12-03.

Last week, two of the CCT's fellows won competitions organized by the schools in the province. One winner was Gerd Stöckel & Åke Svensson's girl who competes in art by making three-dimensional paintings of natural materials. She has won on several occasions over the years or placed in the top three in the province and nationally.

The second winner is Ann Windmar & Stefan Björk's boy who competes in singing. He has broadly the same success with several wins and top three placements both in the province and nationally. Before he changed school, he competed in swimming with several top scores even there.

We look forward to their coming competitions with interest, as both are very interested and targeted in their respective competitions.

The 3rd Sunday of the Environment Project, 2017-12-03.

For today's cleaning, only six job-fired fellows and our Thai volunteers came. Dentistry visits, parenting talks in schools, university tests are some things that must go before beach cleaning. After gathering in the Buffalo Bill saloon for equipment with skirts, gloves and pliers, vests and caps, we moved a couple of halls to the east. There were divided into two groups which then went in every step of the way. Even this day, the beach itself was very clean from junk from the sea, but as usual there are rubbish litters that Thai tourists leave behind. After half time it is a water break. Then the cleaning will continue until lunchtime, as the return to Restaurant Kitchen will give an opportunity to pick what was past. After everyone washed their hands, a well-deserved lunch was waiting in the restaurant. After lunch, the fellows were awarded a generous money gift of CK journeys. The project is ongoing every Sunday, starting at. 9:00 until 18 March. If there is someone who knows to attend, you are very welcome. You will not receive a donation but will be invited for lunch. If you do not want to join the cleaning you are welcome for lunch to invite the participants with an icecream. Today's ice cream was funded by CK Tours because no sponsor came for lunch, thank you very much for all of us who enjoyed an ice-cream.

The second Sunday of the environmental project, 2017-11-26.

Today's cleaning came ten fellows and our Thai volunteers. In addition, Suzanne Lundström's mother Ann came again. As a regular gathering in the Buffalo Bill shop for equipment with scratches, gloves, pliers, vests and caps.

The beach is currently very clean from debris from the sea, but as usual there are rubbish litters that Thai tourists leave behind. After half time it is a water break. Then the cleaning will continue until lunchtime, as the return to Restaurant Kitchen will give an opportunity to pick what was past. After everyone washed their hands, a well-deserved lunch was waiting for the restaurant. After lunch, the fellows were awarded a generous money gift of CK journeys. The project is ongoing every Sunday, starting at. 9:00 until 18 March. If there is someone who knows to attend, you are very welcome. You will not receive a donation but will be invited for lunch. If you do not want to join the cleaning you are welcome for lunch to invite the participants with a glass. Today's glass sponsor was Suzanne's mother Ann, thank you very much for all of us who enjoyed an ice-cream.

Pick up of pillows, towels etc. from support family house, 2017-11-22.

The support family Karin Frykberg is going to sell his house in Ban Phe and has donated some things we can give to the fellows. With the help of her good friends Lars & Ritwa who were in place, we were helped to pick up the things. Many thanks from us and the fellows.

School visit, 2017-11-21.

Today's school visit was to Rayong Technical College, where we have five fellows in various vocational programs, all girls.

The first meeting was with Roy & May-Liss Ödegård's girl who studies the economics line. She is now leaving the final semester so it will graduate in late March and then directly to an office job.

The other fellow of the day was Karin Frykberg's girl who studies the hotel line. She has just started her second semester after a first grade with best grades, best in class. She lives on campus and only goes home once a month. During the weekends she is on campus she teaches other students in drawing and earns a good pocket money.

The third fellow student is studying at the craft line where she started right after third grade in high school. Even she has top marks after the first semester. Good students can apply for a number of vocational programs when they complete the first three compulsory years in high school. A great way to get a quicker education and get to work.

The fourth fellow was Tomas Julin's girl who studies trade and economics. She has also made a very good first term with grades among the top five. Last term she lived on campus but has now chosen to go home and school every day even though the days are getting long. Her motivation for the change is that she thought the cost was too high on campus and thus would save Tomas's cost of the scholarship.

The fifth and last fellow of the day was Suzanne & Tommy Lundström's girl who studies trade and economics. She is now leaving the final semester so she will also graduate at the end of March and then directly to an office job. She chose this line of work instead of university in order to get an income faster so she can support her cancer-injured mother with the economy.

The environmental project "Please keep Mae Phim clean" has resumed after the summer break, 2017-11-19.

Today, the environmental project "I am Ambassador for Please Keep Mae Phim Clean" has restarted after the summer break. It's like the former CK-Tours who is a sponsor. All fellows are invited to attend and now 8 youths arrived. In addition, two Thai volunteers, Raija & B-O and two of CK Resident's participants, Kerstin & PO, and Suzanne Lundström's mother, one of the CCT's support families, were cleaning. Everyone gathered at the Buffalo Bill Hall and were welcomed by us and Christer from CK-Tours. New skirts, gloves and pliers were handed out as well as freshly washed vests and caps. Because everyone knew what would be done, that all foreign objects should be picked up and everything left of nature left, work could start at once. What is picked up is thus all kinds of plastic parts, capsules in thousands, rugs, lighters, etc.

As in the past, it is a well-deserved water break. 9:00 until 18 March. If there is someone who knows to attend, you are very welcome. You will not receive a donation but will be invited for lunch. If you do not want to join the puck you are welcome for lunch to invite the participants with an ice-cream. Today's ice-cream sponsor was CK Tours participant Kerstin & PO, thank you to all of us who enjoyed a glass.

School visit, 2017-11-16.

Today's school visit was to Hua Yiang low school where we have a fellow student. It is a boy to the support family Suzanne & Tommy Lundström, 11 years old. It's a bit shy but nice and happy guy with good grades in all subjects. He lives with his older sister and mother. The mother has had double-sided breast cancer with both surgical and chemo treatment. Last winter was really tough for the family when it was unclear how everything would happen. Now it seems that it may be on the right track. The mother is better now and has got her hair back and can now take some odd job to test the forces.

School visit, 2017-11-15.

Today's school visit was a continuation of Sunthonphu Pittaya High School School's visit.

The first meeting was with the support family Karin Frykberg's boy. He is in high school 1st grade and has finished the first semester with great marks.

The other fellow of the day was the support family, Katarina & Kjell Sundbäck, and Lisa & Björn Petersson's girl. She also goes to high school 1st grade and has finished the first semester with a real boost compared to the low-grade retirement rating. We hope she continues on that road because her past performance has been less good.

The third and last fellowship of the day was the new fellow student who came from Chak Makrut Middle School last spring. His retirement grade from the low school was among the best we saw among boys, four hundredths of full pot. He continues to impress with a grade from the first semester in the high school at almost full pot.

Normally, the first school year in high school often will be a big conversion with worse school result, but it has been a pleasure to see that this not happened with these fellows.

School visit, 2017-11-14.

Today's school visit was to Sunthonphu Pittaya High School School, where we currently have seven fellows. Because there are so many fellows, the visit is divided into two days.

The first meeting was the support family Mille Clareus girl who goes in the 5th grade. A very good and ambitious girl who wants to be lawyer. She is now investing in her studies to obtain a final grade that qualifies her for university studies.

The next fellow was the support family, Agneta & Sven Erik Ferdinandsson girl who is in 3rd grade. Even she is very talented and ambitious but has not yet focused on any end goal. She lives with her mother's family under very simple conditions. In order to contribute to the livelihood she works all school days at a beach restaurant sometimes even until midnight.

The third fellow was RickMick's support family, who is in 2nd grade. She has excellent grades in all classes. Song is one of her specialties that she often performs on the children's festivities. She lives with her mother in a small house that the mother built near her grandmother.

The fourth and last fellow of the day was a girl who even goes to the 2nd grade. Like most of our fellows, she also has very good grades. She lives with mom and dad and siblings in a rented house.  Mom is sick so the dad is a single provider. He works as most of the poor as day-payers often on constructions.

School visit, 2017-11-13.

Today's school visit went to Wat Klaeng Kram low school, where there are three fellowships. There are support families Ulf Lindberg, Ulla & Egon Bäckman, and Gerd Stöckel & Åke Svensson's girls who all go last semester in 4th grade. We have been following these girls for several years and they are always very talented with top marks in all subjects. After reviewing their needs for the semester, they receive a new scholarship.

Fellow to Dentist, 2017-11-12.

Today, our volunteer Pla has taken a fellow to the dentist to get a report on the dental status. It is the support family Ulla & Egon Bäckman's girl who has problems with her teeth. Bäckman has made a collection among his friends to be able to help her. The first preliminary report first shows that a major need for cleaning. In addition, there are some teeth that cannot be saved and has to be  pulled out and a incisor has to be replaced by a pinch pin. After thorough cleaning, the final report will come up with what has to be done.

Support family donates mattress, 2017-11-12.

The support family Suzanne & Tommy Lundström have, after rebuilding their house, received a nice double mattress over as they donated to the CCT. Today, our volunteer Kung had gathered some friends together and brought a pickup to fix the transport to a needy family. It was a thick and heavy mattress in new condition that after united forces were finally loaded on the pickup. Many thanks to Lundström for the fine gift.

Visit to fellow student, 2017-11-10.

Today's visit was to the support family, Sven Erik & Agneta Ferdinandsson's girl, 17, who lives together with her aunt and her family. In addition to a regular delivery of support packages, our volunteer Pla came with to interpret. Agneta & S-E wanted to make sure everything was good at her at home and school. With the help of Pla, they got answers to all questions. It turned out that, like many other Thai youths, she has problems with her teeth. Pla promised to take her to the dentist for a dental examination. When responding to status, Agneta & S-E promises to fund the actions required to make her teeth clear if possible.

School visit, 2017-11-10.

Today's school visit went to Klaeng Wittayasata Worn High School. There are now five fellows. There are five girls aged 15-18 in classes 3 to 6. Two of the girls belong to the support families Katarina & Kjell Sundbäck and Ingrid & Rutger Persson.

For two of the girls this is the last semester is in high school. It is important for them to fight this semester so that they qualify for further studies. As it seems, one of the girls now has good chances of testing at a university. The other is a bit below but can be tested for Technic Rayong College.

We always try to encourage the fellows to improve so that they can qualify for higher education when they leave the 6th grade. However, all have GPA to receive scholarships for the term.

School visit, 2017-11-08.

Today's school visit went to Ban Some Din Daeng low school where there for now there is a fellow student. It is the support family Stefan Björk & Ann Windmar's boy, 12 years, who lost his mother and moved to a aunt. Because of work she has to move to another place. He has now moved to another aunt. He is now in 6th grade and is very ambitious and good at school. It is the last semester in the lower school so we hope he qualifies for studies in a good high school. He has a great singing voice so he participates in the school's singing competitions. He has won district competitions and then competed in the province where he also placed high on the list.

Planning for the continuation of the environmental project "Please Keep Mae Phim Clean", 2017-11-06.

On the initiative of CK Travel, Christer Kullberg & Tomas Kaufman, two years ago, beach cleaning was started together with CCT's fellows. The fellow students were dubbed "I am Ambassador for Please Keep Mae Phim Clean" and every Saturday the beach was cleaned. After their three-hour pass, they received a generous money gift as well as lunch and transport to and from the beach, sponsored by CK Travel.

This year we have handled the planning by e-mail. Everyone thinks it's a successful project so we decided to start on Sunday, November 19th. There will be the same conditions as before for the fellows and the cleaning will be on Sunday as last season.

The project will therefore last every Sunday starting 19 November at. 9:00 until 18 March. If there is someone who wants to attend, you are very welcome. You will not receive a donation but will be invited for lunch. It is also very welcome with an ice-cream sponsor for lunch about 12.

First school visit for the winter season, 2017-11-06.

The visit became a new low school in Klaeng. It is a girl 12 years old who is in the fourth grade of the low-grade. She moved to this school this summer when her grandmother, due to cancer disease had to move. She is a very good student with GPA 3.9 out of 4, so she meets the criteria for a new scholarship.

Planning meeting with volunteers, 2017-11-01.

Our volunteer "Angel Kung" has since been in charge of all contacts with the schools. Today she proposes a plan that she then agrees with the schools. Depending on the stage at the start of the term, there may be some adjustments. But we're pretty soon told that most of it is fixed and the first visit will be 6th of November.

Our second volunteer Pla as Handing in and delivery of support packages this spring was a cute girl baby. She has since moved a move from Mae Phim. Although her travels will be significantly longer, she is determined to continue her volunteer assignment for CCT. Thank you very much because we would have big problems if she stopped.

Back in Thailand, 2017-10-31.

Activities 2017 May - October.

From the end of March and throughout April there has been school holiday and in May, the summer term of Primary & Secondary School and Technic Rayong College started. All fellows came in good order for school start and will now do their best during the summer months for the next vacation starting in October.

The university has a different term classification so these fellows started the first semester of the year in January and have summer holidays June, July and start the autumn term in August.

A fellow student has changed school in the summer with one of our volunteers because her caretaker, grandmother, because of personal circumstances forced to move to another area.

By the way, there haven´t been any serious events reported in the summer.

Summary of the winter term 2016 - 2017.

The winter season 2016 - 2017 has been very contentious, varying between sadness, joy, tears and laughter. The season starts this October 31 and always with a meeting with Thai volunteers for a review of the summer term. Kung starts immediately planning and booking school visits, to work with fellow students / supervisors to review fellow students' grades, economics and home relationships.

Four days later, school visits start as in the autumn term, the visit is ongoing until the end of November. There are thirteen fellows distributed to eleven schools where study results, finances and home relationships will be followed up and new fellowships will be paid.

The same day we meet with CK Resident Christer Kullberg & Tomas Kaufman for planning the season's "Please Keep Mae Phim Clean". Because everyone thought it was a very successful and necessary project, it was agreed that the start will be in November 27th and will take place every Sunday until March 27th. During that time, almost all Sundays, we have participated and supported the participating fellows. One Sunday it was a special effort to pick capsules in addition to the second litter. The fellow students who were seventeen in number today promised 1 THB per capsule to get an extra slant. It was apparently a good carrot because they managed to collect 3390 pieces. It became an extra money for each of 200 THB, very popular. During the winter we have had several visits by police who showed great interest in the project. It has been the Tourist Police, the Royal State Police and our local police station in Kram. The police both picked up junk and sang for the fellows.

This spring, when we were in Sweden, the first fellow student took his university degree. It's a girl, today 24 years, who studied "financial & banking" for four years. She now has a good employment in an international manufacturing company.

This is what the CCT's utilities aim for, a good education, a good employment and a good prerequisite for a safe future. To celebrate this, we invited her and her mother to their favourite restaurant Plao Seafood. We congratulated her on the graduation and employment with a gold jewellery, a bracelet with necklace. During dinner she wanted to reveal a secret, she would marry in January. Not sure she and her mother would absolutely like us to be deputies at the wedding. A honorary assignment that we more than gladly accepted. It was a fantastic experience along with about 350 other guests. We were together with the groom's parents placed in honorary place and were assisted in the special wedding ceremony. A grateful and memorable honorary assignment.

In connection with school visits, we also had to try to find out where two fellows had taken their way. For one of them, a boy 13 years old, it appeared after the interview of staff at the dad's workplace that the whole family moved to another province. They have lived in an incredibly bad environment and hopefully they have found something better and that the kid can continue his school there. The other one, a girl 14 years old, has left home with a friend to another district. Neither we nor the mother have managed to get in touch with her. Very tragic because she was a good student and had all the opportunities to study further with the help of CCT's fellowships. Later, at one point she has been home and said she will not be back again and will not talk about exactly where she moved. The mother has therefore declined her as a resident at their address.

A fellow is being attacked by dogs as she drives a moped. She cries and gets scraps, etc. and may spend a few days in hospital.

In January, it's time for the season's trip sponsored by CK-trips. This time there was lunch at Princess Hotel, towels for beach towels and then speed boat to Kosamet. On the island there were games and snorkelling with interruptions for a dignified fruit plate to snack. There were twenty-two fellows who participated and luckily we had the help of a number of support families to keep track of them. Only two of the fellows were able to swim and snorkelling became their highlight so there was reason to keep an eye on them. Well, everything ended without the mishaps, and after latches and pockets we got up all out of the ocean and back in the boats for home travel.

The joy and joy of the excursion were abruptly changed to sorrow and tears when we were told that one of our fellows had died in a traffic accident. It was a girl 15 years old who so tragically prematurely left the world of life. She was a cute and nice girl with very good study results. In the next few days, it was both death-watch and cremation, as we reported earlier. An event that made us all concerned very hard and as we still think of how sudden joy and laughter are being exchanged in sorrow and tears.

Another tragic death was that a cousin, boy in 3 years, fell to a fellow drowning in a water pond nearby the residence. We met the boy the first time when he was only three months old and the father had "suited" him with grandfather.

Every year in early January, there is Children Day in schools. It starts early in the morning with a monk parade. Then there are games and games all day until evening. Already in the afternoon, a large number of local entrepreneurs and rifles raise their food levels and offer food to everyone, both students and visitors. In the evening, entertainment starts with singing and dancing. Pupils from all classes appear with different numbers of classic Thai costumes. After each performance, they are decorated with wreaths and also a gift of family and friends. We always try to visit a couple of schools where we have fellows to see their behaviour and encourage wreaths and money.

During the semester, three fellows have received their support families. D.v.s. The contributions they give to the CCT "earmark" for their respective fellow students. Together with support families we have visited the fellows so they know where they live and get to know each other. When they are here and we can´t go along, they can make a visit.

There have also been a number of gifts consisting of second-hand things. There are clothes of all sizes, soft toys, mattresses, sun loungers, bicycles, mobile phones, etc. We are primarily distributed to our fellows. Everything that does not fit there gives us to the hospital in Klaeng, which has a lot of poor patients who are very excited about these things. One of our support families, Karin Frykberg & Stefan Eriksson, contributed to this with 40 kg of clothes and soft toys that they collected among friends and acquaintances.

Other nice collective initiatives for the CCT are Eva Kullberg who donated 20: - from all orders that came under one month in her shop. Ulla & Egon Bäckman who during a dinner with friends made a collection. Thankful and fun with such initiatives, hope it encourages others to similar collections.

Together with support families and ourselves, we have visited the fellow students at home to see how the situation is. In connection with the visits we have always provided a support package with food and hygiene items and second hand clothes. We have also, on behalf of support families, taken with fellow fellows to provide them with the necessary clothes.

Two new fellows have been admitted to the support program and six have been deleted for various reasons. Those assumed are a boy to high school education and a boy to the lower stage. Of those expired, four have moved away from our catchment area, one girl and three boys. Two girls have completed their education and received work. One has got work directly after high school and does not want to continue with higher education. The other has graduated in college economics and she also received a good employment. Sad with fellow students who disappear but there are completely different conditions in Thailand, so we get out with some losses. The more fun it is to see that those who graduate get good jobs and have good prospects for a good and safe future. It is what the goal of CCT's are, to help them to a good education that is the key to the future.

The CCT now has a number of fellowships in higher education programs that are very costly. We therefore need more sponsors who can help fund these fellowships. Those who know to help poor but talented and ambitious young people to a good education that can safeguard their future are more than welcome with contributions. See our website http://childcare.in.th/ for information on different payment options.

School visits for reconciliation of the winter term have lasted throughout March. It is always the same procedure, based on study results, finances and new scholarships. Three fellows have completed high school and enrolled in higher education. A boy is going to study media and journalism at university. Three girls should study at college, one in construction engineering, one in the hotel program and one in the business program. Great fun that they qualify and want to continue their studies.

During the winter, as usual, a number of home visits have been helped to solve various problems in the families. Sometimes it feels like we have become curators for our fellows' families.

The season's finale was a meeting with our Thai colonists to make sure everything will work with school contacts and delivery of support packages during the summer period while we are in Sweden.

Despite some tragic we are very pleased with how everything worked and how the fellows developed during the season. All of this has been made possible thanks to all our faithful and generous supporters, you are the "backbone" of the CCT's help project. We would therefore like to thank you very much for your fellows and give thanks to you all a wonderful summer wherever you are.

Telephone delivery, 2017-03-31.

At the very last moment, we got Telia to let go of an IPhone so we could finally restore it and reconfigure it. It's an IPhone 5 that we received from Eva & Robert Eklund to give a needy fellow. Eva and Robert have been tampered with Telia via chat and visits to get them to unleash the phone. Well, at the end, it went well and the phone is now prepared with sim cards and all required accounts for it to be fully useful. The recipient of the gift is our latest fellow, a boy 14 years old, who is going to start high school and therefore needed a phone to receive certain duties. In addition, the phone is provided with Thai-English courses and also an accompanying textbook included. The guy is overjoyed and greets and thanks Eva & Robert for the nice phone.

Meet Thai volunteers, 2017-03-30.

Our stay suffers from the end and before the summer period we want to make sure that volunteers have everything under control. The first visit was to "Kung" in Klaeng, which takes care of all school contacts and delivery of support packages to a number of families. Everything is in place so when like a few things. First, a school visit that could not be completed because the teacher had no time. It is the support family Suzanne and Tommy Lundström's boy as Kung, instead, has to pay the scholarship for when the school starts again in May. Next thing to do is campus campus for two of the fellows at Rayong Technical College, the support families Karin Frykberg & Stefan Eriksson's girlfriend and Tomas Julin's girl. They must be on campus during the week due to long school days and bad communications. Then after the Thai New Year she takes the girls and increases the scholarships so that they also cover those costs.

Next visit was to "Pla" in Chack Makrut, which helps as an interpreter and also handles delivery of support packages to a number of families. Pla has just got his first child, a pretty girl. But one gets because of Superstition do not call babies too sweet in Thailand, one must say they are ugly so no evil powers take them. In any event, we would hand over some presents to the new-born and check that everything was good with the family, which it was. The deliveries take her husband Pom about the near future. He is as committed as Pla and both think it's so fun to help these families.

School visit, 2017-03-29.

Today's school visit was to Asean College in Klaeng where the last fellow, a girl, graduated in economics. We were there to finish her scholarship account and for checking the retirement check. In the account there was a lot of money left which, according to agreement, returned to the CCT's cash register. The retirement check was very good, which was probably the basis for her employment. She is currently working at the finance department at Klaengs Local Goverment and has good salary and a number of other benefits. Thanks to the CCT's utilities program, another fellow has received education that has resulted in a good employment and a secure future.

Visit to fellow student, 2017-03-28.

In connection with today's school visit, we were looking forward to visiting one of our new fellows. It is a boy who lives with his cancerous aunt. He needed a mattress and sent from heaven so we got one of Anette & Jan at Seaview. In addition, they also had a fan and a table lamp to spare which suited very well. To the mattress we bought a mattress cover to keep it fresh. One of CK Resor's Christmas gifts for the fellows, a wristwatch, also found its new owner. Eva & Robert Eklund has donated an iPhone that he will receive as soon as we manage to free it from Telia's subscription.

School visit, 2017-03-28.

Today's school visit was to Noensai low school school to finish the 6th grade education for one of the girls Katarina & Kjell Sundbäck's girls. She is twelve years old and will start in Sunthonphu Pittaya High School in May.

In order to sponsor her scholarships, Lisa & Björn Petersson has also joined her as a support family since last year. Petersson came in as a sponsor when the girl's foot was going through a comprehensive operation. We and the family are very grateful for the much needed support that these two support families contribute.

School visit, 2017-03-27.

Today's school visit was to Rayong Technical College to enter support family Karin Frykberg & Stefan Eriksson's girl. There she will read the hotel program for two years. We have been in contact with an English teacher for some time, helping us with translation. Very lucky today because her supervisor forgot that we booked a visit and were busy with anything else. After half an hour we found one of her prospective teachers who could attend the meeting. Scholarships were calculated for everything that has to do with the school as well as for lunch and travel. Then there was a visit to the uniforms shop for the purchase of shoes, study uniforms, sports uniforms and a special elegant uniform for this program.

School visit, 2017-03-22.

After today's school visit, we were looking forward to visiting a few scholarshipsToday's school visit was a continuation of the visit of Sunthonphu Pittaya High School School. The first meeting was with the support family Karin Frykberg & Stefan Eriksson's girl. A highly sharpened student who is in national matric tests is best in the province and 11th best in Thailand. She now finishes the 6th and final grade in this school. She was obvious for university studies, but for family reasons she has changed to a vocational education that is two years shorter. She lives with her grandparents and siblings, her severely disabled father, and her grandmother 94 years. Both grandparents are cancerous and therefore want to train and start working as quickly as possible.

The next fellow was a boy who also belongs to the support family Karin & Stefan, brother to the girl above. He will start in the 1st grade so it became full equipment with uniforms, shoes, bag teaching materials, etc. He has previously been to Kram low school and has top marks from there. High School's first year will be a major change so it will be interesting to follow him and see if he keeps the level.

The third fellow for the day was the support family, Tomas Julin's girl. She has very good grades and goes now from 3rd grade to college studies. She lives with her grandparents and a lot of relatives in a really bad environment. Hopefully, after two years of college studies, she will get a job so she can move to a more accessible life.

The fourth and last fellow of the day was a new fellow student from Chak Makrut Middle School. His retirement rating is among the best we saw among boys, just four hundredths from the best result. He lives with his cancerous grandmother in a simple house at the fish farms. We are collecting some things he needs for delivery before we go home.

School visit, 2017-03-21.

Today's first school visit was to Rayong Technical College, where we currently have four fellows, but probably one to one week. Today's visit concerned two of these fellows.

The first meeting was with the support family Roy & MayLiss Ödegård's girl. She studies Finance & Accounting and her last academic year begins in May. After checking grades, which were a little better than the previous semester, and behaviour and material needs, new scholarships were calculated. In the coming semester, there will be a lot of internship that she does at a company in Klaeng. A good system that ensures that she, if she wants, can get work there after graduation.

The next fellow was the support family Suzanne & Tommy Lundström's girl. She is studying marketing and for her, the last academic year begins in May. New fellowships were calculated on the same grounds as for her schoolmate. She does not have much practice in her syllabus, but those days take place at a moped company in Klaeng.

The next school visit was to Sunthonphu Pittaya High School, where we currently have eight fellows. Three of them finish their final semester, two move on to college and one starts working. Two new fellows will be added, so for the coming semester the number will be seven. Because there are so many fellow students, the visit is divided into two days.

The first meeting was the support family Mille Clareus and Gun Olin's girl to start the 5th grade. A very good and ambitious girl who has as her student goal to become a lawyer. She is now investing in her studies to obtain a final grade that qualifies her for university studies.

The next fellow was the support family, Agneta & Sven Erik Ferdinandsson's girl, who will start the 3rd grade. Even she is very talented and ambitious but has not yet focused on any end goal. She lives with her mother's family in very simple circumstances. In order to contribute to the livelihood she works all school days at a beach restaurant sometimes even until midnight.

The third fellow was the support family RickMick's girl who will start the 2nd grade. She has been excellent in all classes with very good grades. Singing is one of her specialties and she will perform on the third day of the Sand Festival. She lives with her mother, but now with her grandmother. They have lived as slaves for several years but now they have gained a piece of land and can build a small house. Great to see when life is getting better for these poor families.

The fourth and last fellow of the day was a girl who even began her 2nd grade. Like most of our fellows, she has very good grades. She lives with mom and dad and siblings in a rented house. Mom is sick so the father is a lone parent. He works as the most on the building site.

Visit to fellow, 2017-03-19.

After today's cleaning, it was time for a visit to the support family Rick Mick's girl. She lives with her mother for now. With grandmother and grandpa. The mother has now got a piece of land so she is building a small house for herself and the daughter. They have lived in an uneasy life over the past few years with live jobs to get food and shelter but no pay so this little house becomes their castle. The girl is going to start second class in high school and is very talented in all subjects and especially in vocals. At the big sand sculpture festival on the beach road at the end of the month, she will sing a song dedicated to the old king. As usual, RickMick purchased a generous support package of food and hygiene items, received with great gratitude and joy. Asking if they wanted something new, the house was usually no answer. You never ask for anything, but we have to guess what is needed and suggest and when it hits right, they nod a bit shy. RickMick suggested fans and mosquito nets, which got a nick so they will take part in their next visit in a few weeks.

Environment project 16th and last Sunday for the season completed, 2017-03-19.

Today's cleaning was the last for this season, attracted ten fellow students, as well as both our Thai volunteers and a working farang, the friend Agneta Christiernin. There would have been an even greater strength today for the ocean is very generous with its "gifts". The heat of the spring is also starting to remind you that it was a really tough day today. Even though everyone was diligent as ants, we did not complete the entire assignment on a given timeframe. There was a lot left as the municipality's clever cleaners can take him tomorrow. After finishing work it was as usual lunch and money gift. Today's lunch visit was Agneta Furuvik and Agneta Christiernin who would be the favourite of today by inviting ice cream.

Very fun and appreciated by both fellow students and other participants. The season is finished, but in November we will start again. Same conditions as before for those who want to help, no money but a lunch and the pleasure to meet our fellow students and make a nice contribution to the environment. In addition, of course, glass sponsors are very welcome.

Visit to fellows, 2017-03-18.

After today's school visit, we fought to visit some fellows in the Klaeng area. The first visit to three brothers who lost their parents and their homes and now lives with a sick uncle. As usual, we had a generous support package with food and hygiene items. Three teens need a lot of food and other things. The eldest brother came from the university to hear how the situation is. He is now testing for the end of the term, which is in May, and despite difficult subjects, it is fine. The brother in between will start a four-year university education in August. The youngest brother who, unfortunately, did not manage his schooling so well should start working.

The next visit was to a girl studying a nurse in a university located north-east of Bangkok. She lives with her mother and younger sister and has recently moved to a higher located apartment. The reason for the move is to live in an area that is usually flooded in monsoon, with the result that they previously received 50 - 60 cm of water in all rooms. The girl could not come home this weekend because of long trip but we met the mother and could make sure everything went well with the girl's studies.

The third and last visit was to the family of Suzanne & Tommy Lundströms family. The family consists of mom, a daughter who studies marketing at Rayong Technical College and a low-grade son. A routine visit to check the location due. The mother is cancerous and undergoes a stressful drug treatment. We had a small warning that everything might not be OK. The mother is very tired and worried, which makes it a little weary in the family. We try to calm down the situation and assure her that the CCT takes care of the children's school costs so she can feel safe in that matter.

School visit, 2017-03-18.

Today's school visit was to Noenyon low grade school where we have a fellow student.

It is the support family Stefan Björk & Ann Windmar's boy, 11 years old, living with an aunt. A little shy but nice and happy guy with good grades in all subjects. In his last school competition he swam and in his new school he has saddled to compete in singing. The last race was in his grade two in the province. In spite of good grades, his teacher wants, at least, to focus on a few subjects, mathematics and science, so that he can safely test in the best high school. He therefore receives extra scholarships for extra hours in these subjects.

To today's school visit, the support family, Judith Orrevik, followed in order to combine with a home visit to her girl. Before we left for her, there was a purchase round at Tesco. There were all-in-one clothes and a food and hygienic support package. After shopping, we ate dinner together at MK.

At home with the girl we were greeted by grandfather and grandmother. Grandfather proudly showed up his old bike as he walks to a construction site where he works all days in week. Paternal disease makes that she cannot open her one eyelid. She will be surgery once again in the spring and hopefully get rid of the tumour.

School visit, 2017-03-15.

Today's school visit was the second to Wittayasata High School in Klaeng. After yesterday's visit, where there were more than planned, only two girls left today.

The first meeting was with the support family Ingrid & Rutger Persson's girl who will start in fifth grade. She lives with grandmother & grandfather as well as a disabled aunt. She has good grades in all Subjects but despite this, English needs to be sharpened. Ingrid & Rutger therefore provides extra support beyond the usual to pay extra English teaching this semester.

The next visit, the support family, was Judith Orrevik's girl who is going to start the third grade of high school. She lives with her grandmother and grandfather in a rented "garage". Grandfather is 82 years old but still has to work for them to survive. Grandmother has a brain tumour and cannot work. The girl works every day to help with the supply. She is a very talented student and is in the top five of the class.

School visit, 2017-03-14.

Today's school visit was to Wittayasata High School in Klaeng, where we have seven fellows, five girls and two boys. Because there are several students in this school, they are divided into two visits.

The first meeting was with the support family Katarina & Kjell Sundbäck's girl to start in the sixth and final grade in high school. She now lives with her mother and two younger sisters at grandmother. She is a good student and is now investing the final semesters for a final grade that can give her a university campus. She handed a card with her own text in both English and Swedish, thanking for the support provided by the CCT.

The next fellow was also a girl to start in the fifth grade of the high school. She lives with grandfather and grandmother in a house like grandfather recently built. Former residence was a shed in a plantation. It's fun to see that families get better and have the opportunity to get a decent living. Even this girl is a very talented student and has every opportunity to search for university in two years. We got a small box with the text “opened at home”. It was little exciting if it would jump some figure out of the box. But it turned out that it was another type of surprise. The box contained self-made beautiful thank you cards with nice texts as well as a number of photographs of us together with her at different places as well as photographs of her family.

The third fellow, too, was a girl who has been up to the start of CCT. She lives with a grandmother and a little brother in a rented "garage". She goes last year in high school and has good grades even if they are not in the top. She works hard with a few difficult topics to raise her GPA for further studies in a vocational school. Her grandmother produces Thai desserts wrapped in banana leaves she sells to extricate the pension. Today we got a charge of these goodies as well as a number of mangoes that thank you for the support we provide. It was so much that we could share with our employees and the gardeners at BM.

The last two fellows for the day were two brothers who we have awarded scholarships since their parents unexpectedly died in the same year. Another brother is part of the family and he has been in Bang Saen University for two years. After the parents' death they could not handle the bank loans on the house so the bank made them homeless. They now live with a sick uncle.

The second eldest of the brothers finished their final semester in high school with good grades. He has already tested a university in Chantaburi and begins his first semester in August. He will study for news reporters and journalists.

The youngest brother who has not been successful in his studies now completes the third and final compulsory year in high school. Unfortunately, he does not succeed in continuing the last three years of high school and instead starts working. In any event, we have managed to support him through the mandatory years, giving him a little better chance when he is seeking work.

Environment project 15th Sunday completed, 2017-03-12.

Today's cleaning attracted nine fellows and both of our Thai volunteers. The garbage from the sea increases with the current winds and we find everything possible, today's most unexpected find was a television set. There were unusually many Thai picnic visitors early in the morning. The day before, there were probably also many visitors because there were big piles of junk in some places. All picnic visitors who are on site are invited by us to "please keep Mae Phim clean" through the text on our west. All of course promise to clean up afterwards but some will forget when it's time to break up. Some who have been there know our message and promise to clean before we ask them.

We are apparently starting to become popular among the police because today, police came to visit twice. First, there were two from the Royal State Police who were very interested and grateful for the activities with CCT and beach cleaning. Then came one of our local police from Kram who cleaned a little and sang a song for the fellows. He was also very grateful and happy for what we do. After finishing work it was as usual lunch and money gift. Today's lunch visit was the support family Karin Frykberg & Stefan Eriksson. They wanted to meet the fellow students, but of course also become the favourite of the day by offering ice cream. Very fun and appreciated by both fellow students and other participants. Everyone is welcome to attend the cleaning and the reward will be a lunch. For those who don´t want to clean, you are welcome to sponsor the ice cream and become the favourite of the day.

New fellow student is admitted to the support program, 2017-03-09.

In connection with the visit to the Chak Makrut School, our contact person, Mui the teacher, presented a boy, 14 years old, who for economic reasons cannot begin high school. He lives with his grandmother and aunt in a simple house outside at the fish farms. His father died when he was six months old and his mother died when he was five years old. Grandma is 69 years old and sick and has a pension of 600 THB per month and the aunt earns about 5,000 THB a month. An absolutely impossible economic situation because there would be a 4 to 5 month salary to pay the school. He is very good at school and has average grade 3.96 out of 4 possible.

After reviewing all the facts, we decided to bring him to the CCT even though we have a take-up stop due to the fact that our economy is not completely balanced at the moment.

Today we made a visit with friends Agneta Furuvik and Agneta Christiernin and the teacher Mui as an interpreter. They had purchased a generous support package of food and hygiene items, received with great gratitude and joy. In addition, he received some clothes from Karin & Stefans collection as well as a football shirt from Roy Ödegård. Within a few weeks, we will write him in Sunthonphu High School. He then receives scholarships covering school fees, insurance, uniforms for studies, sports & scouts, socks and shoes, teaching materials and school bags, lunch and transportation to and from school.

Visit to fellows, 2017-03-09.

Our trip with friends Agneta Furuvik and Agneta Christiernin continued to Klaeng to visit a few fellows with our volunteer Kung.

The first visit was to a fellow student at Rayong Technical College and lives with her grandmother and disabled sister. It was primarily the sister they wanted to meet. The interest arose after we talked about the girl's story and the relief efforts made by the support family Roy & Mayliss Ödegård. The girl has had a new life since Ödegårds came with aids and various stimulus measures. To these girls, they also bought some snacks that were received with joy.

Next visit was to the support family Ingrid & Rutger Persson's girl. After we visited her recently, we reported to Ingrid & Rutger, among others. They were told that she was growing very last year. We quickly got the answer that if needed, take her and execute her at their expense. It was therefore today's mission, which was completed with a shopping round at Tesco. It was both shoes, jeans, shorts, sweaters and some underwear. The girl was brilliantly happy with the gifts, sending us a big thank you to Ingrid & Rutger.

School visit, 2017-03-08.

Today's school visit was to Kram low grade school where we have four fellows, three girls and one boy. Our friends Agneta Furuvik and Agneta Christiernin followed to get an insight into CCT's activities as well as meet fellow students and see their school.

The boy is now finishing his last semester at this school to begin in spring in Sunthonphu High School. He is very good and has a full pot, 4, in all subjects except two who are 3.5. There was a surplus on the scholarships for the semester that were reimbursed in accordance with the stipend conditions. Within a few weeks, we will introduce him in Sunthonphu School and pay new scholarships.

The next fellow, the support family Ulla & Egon Bäckman's girl, is one of the top grade students in all subjects. She will start the 5th grade this spring, which means there should be new uniforms, two for studies and one for sports and scout and associated socks and shoes.

Despite her difficult handicap, she is a very happy and lively girl. In addition to the scholarship, she got a box of second hand clothes that Karin Frykberg & Stefan Eriksson collected from their friends.

The third fellow was the support family Gerd & Åke Svensson's girl who also belongs to top grade students with the highest grades in all subjects. She will also start the 5th grade so the full set of uniforms, etc., was included in the calculation. She is very artistic and makes three-dimensional paintings of material from nature. She has won first prize in the province and third prize in Thailand for her artwork. Even she received a charge of clothes for her and her little sister, all collected by Karin & Stefan.

The fourth and last fellow of the day was to the support family, Ulf Lindberg's girl, which she also belongs to top grade students with the highest grades in all subjects. Like her friends, she will start the 5th grade so the full set of uniforms, etc., was included in the calculation. Karin and Stefan have done a great collection of clothes so it was no problem to fix a set even for her.

Visit to support family, 2017-03-07.

Today, we visited one of our new support families, Karin Frykberg & Stefan Eriksson, in their Thai home at Safire Village. A nice area built about the same time as our area. In addition to seeing how they live, we would pick up a charge of second hand clothes. Karin put out a note on Face book about collection to the CCT and received a huge response. Lots of donors listened to clothes and toys so it became more than they could receive at the moment. Being able to help with the transport, Raija's son, Patrick, raised his family with a pair of bags in his luggage. The main part, however, had Karin & Stefan in his luggage, three bags and a IKEA box of a total of about 40 kg. There were soft animals and clothing in many sizes that we primarily give to our fellows. What does not fit there we give to the hospital in Klaeng. The hospital has lots of poor patients who are in great need of clothes. A big thank you to Karin & Stefan for a great initiative and a big thank you to all donors who participated.

School visit, 2017-03-07.

The first school visit for reconciliation of the winter term was to Chak Makrut low grade school. There we already have a fellow, the support family Helena Kinnunen & Håkan Enströms girl 13 years old. She is very good at school and has top marks in all subjects. She starts the 5th grade this spring, which means there should be new uniforms, two for studies and one for sports and scout and associated socks and shoes.

Visit to fellows, 2017-02-05.

After today's farewell pass, we went with one of our Thai volunteers and three fellows to trade the month's support package for them. It is one of their support families, the predetermined amount for which it is traded, but today we followed, we added a little extra from us.

The first we went home after completed purchases were the support family Ulf Lindberg's girl who lives with her aunt. It seems that her mother has left her now because she calls aunt's mother's aunt. In any case, everything seems to be good because it is a very happy and harmonious mood in the family. In addition to extra-packed support packages, we also handed a bundle of secondhand clothes we received from different donors.

Next visit was to the support family Tomas Julin's girl who lives with her grandparents in a creepy shed. She is very good at school and has chosen to go from third grade in high school to vocational education. We have since enrolled at Rayong Technical College where she is going to study marketing. It is very important for her to get a vocational education so that she can get work and move to her own accommodation.

Today's third and last visit was to the support family Ulla & Egon Bäckman's girl who lives with her grandparents in a shed without electricity and water. Grandfather is blind and grandmother partially paralyzed so the girl care for most of the household. Even though she herself is hard handicapped due to an accident as small, she cares very well. In addition to an extra-packed support package, she received a flute, a harmonica and a watch all donated by CK Travel. The stuff was much appreciated so she sends a big thank you to Christer & Tomas on CK Travel. The girl is musical and has an amazing vocal voice so we think she can learn to play the instruments.

Environment project 14th Sunday completed, 2017-03-05.

Today's cleaning attracted thirteen unemployed fellows and one of our volunteers, the other was ill in the flu. There are more and more landslides with the current winds, so there was a lot to take care of today. As usual, there was also a lot left by Thai picnic visitors to take care of. All picnic visitors are invited by us to "please keep Mae Phim clean" through the text on our west. All of course promise to clean up afterwards but some will forget when it's time to break up. A crowd that celebrated all night and played music as we heard home had spread a lot of junk around. Raija asked them to clean up, but when that request did not go home she said sharply, and all the refreshers became so scared that they cleaned even though they were hard to stand on their legs. After finishing work it was as usual lunch and money gift. Today's lunch visits were Agneta Furuvik and Agneta Christiernin. They wanted to meet the fellow students, but of course also become the favorite of the day by offering ice cream. Very fun and appreciated by both fellow students and other participants. Everyone is welcome to attend the cleaning and the reward will be a lunch. For those who don´t want to clean you are welcome to sponsor the ice cream and become the favourite of the day.

Company donates 20: - SEK per order in February 2017.

Eva Kullberg with the company Evas fairtrade FIKA has donated $ 20 per order in the web shop in February. At the end of the month, the total was 960 SEK. Thank you very much Eva for a generous initiative. Scholarships for the summer period will soon be paid so that the money will come in handy. Hope this encourages other companies to do similar campaigns.

The 13th Sunday Environmental Project, 2017-02-26.

Today's cleaning came with seven fellows and our two Thai volunteers. Tests for the term grades make the number of participants not so big. Today we took the usual beach from the police house to beyond Princess. It's starting to get some other winds so some extra junk drives land. It's everything from toothbrushes, shoes, bottles to lamps etc. from the fishing boats. After finishing work it was as usual lunch and money gift. Today, one of our support families, Tomas Julin, came with his friend Leif Taube for lunch. First, they wanted to meet the fellow students, but of course they also offered ice cream. Very fun and appreciated by both fellow students and other participants. Everyone is welcome to attend the cleaning and the reward will be a lunch. For those who don´t want to clean, you are welcome to sponsor the ice cream and become the favourite of the day.

Visit to fellows, 2017-02-25.

The day's first visit was to a girl, 17, who lives with her grandmother and grandfather. She goes to high school fourth grade in a special department for high-performing students. It is a very talented and ambitious girl who, if any, will qualify for further studies. As an encouragement, we included a support package of food and hygiene items, which was received with great gratitude. In addition, they received a selection of the second-hand clothes we receive from different Swedish families.

Next visit was to the support family Stefan Björk & Ann Windmars boy, 11 years old, living with an aunt. He had to move to aunt after his mother died of cancer a year ago. Even aunt has had cancer and has been operating some years ago. Now we hope there will be no relapse for her so that the boy can get a safe living. The boy is very active and participates in beach cleaning as often as he can. Today, it is a very happy and harmonious family that we are grateful to be able to support with Stefan & Ann. It was time for our Thai volunteer to deliver the regular delivery of support packages so we were looking forward to adding a little extra to the package.

Today's third and last visit was to the support family Suzanne & Tommy Lundström's girl, 19 years old, and boy, 10 years, living with her mother. The reason for the visit was that we wanted to see how it is with a mother who has cancer and is on a drug treatment. She has now lost all hair and looks after hair loss like Sinéad O'Connor, despite the disease very fancy. Last week there was a dog rushing on the girl so she wept with the moped. She had a helmet but got a strong bang on the right cheek, side and leg. She was gone from school for three days but now she is better and back in school. The mother will be on her next treatment this or next week and afterwards, she will get a strong nausea for a few days. What is important, however, is that she has now started the treatments. We also had some second hand clothes for the boy who were much appreciated.

Fellowship's family member is drowning, 2017-02-25.

It was a member of the support family Gerd Stöckel & Åke Svensson's that drowned. In the sadness and shock that the family experienced, the first information was that the girl's sister was drunken. It later turned out that it was a cousin to her, a boy of 3 years, who drowned in a pond behind Grandfather's residence.

We have met the boy on a number of occasions, which was a lively and happy kid.

The event is no less tragic because it was a cousin. When children go away regardless of illness or accident, it always feels very tragic.

Visit to the grantee, 2017-02-19.

Today's visit was to support family Gerd Stöckel & Åke Svensson's girl, 10 years old. The reason for the visit is that she moved to a new accommodation that we wanted to get on top. She previously lived with grandfather and younger sister where she become well looked after. However, it has recently happened repeatedly that an uncle more or minder forced her to babysit. This has been highlighted by remarks in the presence report. She now has to move to one of the school teachers who promised to care for her so she will not have to babysit and go to school. We will in the next few weeks to follow up that everything is working and that the girl feel comfortable and want to stay there.

Environmental Project 12th Sunday completed, 2017-02-19.

For today's cleaning came this time eight work-hungry fellows and one of our Thai volunteers. The other volunteer was absent last Sunday because of a death in the family. Tests for ratings allows participants a little lower than usual. Today's task was to clean up the beach from the Princess and west toward the creek. It is an area that is not normally serviced by someone which we quickly became aware. Incredibly much debris ashore spoof long time. Despite this, as in all cases was about half the distance gutted, many bags were there. After finishing the work, it was as usual lunch and monetary gift. Today it was a Thai family with apartment on Grand Blue that offered ice cream. Very fun and the first time, in addition to Play at Kitchen, which a Thai family is sponsoring the ice cream. All are welcome to participate in the cleaning and the reward will be a lunch. For those of you who are not keen on garbage picker you are welcome to sponsor ice cream, and be the favorite.
Visits grantees, 2017-02-15.

The day first visit was to a girl, 18, who lives with his grandmother and a half-brother 10 years. She has been a fellow of nearly six years and is among the first scholars adopted the CCTs Utilities. In the spring she starts last class in high school and will hopefully until next year to qualify for further studies. Grandma supplement their pension with making desserts based on coconut wrapped in palm leaves. An absolutely necessary chore to handle the most important expenditure. To give them a little extra we handed over a package of food and hygiene which was received with great gratitude.

The next visit was to a girl, aged 19, who lives with an aunt and her family. She previously lived with his father in really difficult conditions. After the move to the aunt she became a much happier and more alert girl which is directly reflected in her grades. In a few weeks, she graduated in ASEAN College, Financial & Banking with very good grades, she starts right after work at the municipal office in Klaeng with good pay and other benefits. Another scholar who through CCTs utilities can secure their future through a good job. We wish her good luck in life and look forward to keeping in contact with her in the future.

Visits grantees, 2017-02-12.

Today's first visit to support family Helena Kinnunen & Håkan Enströms girl, 13, who lives with his grandmother and grandmother's new husband. She started school two years later than their peers because of a strange sleeping sickness which she is now free from. She is now in 4th class in primary school and is very good at school, she has full pot, 4 of 4 possible. Grandma is cancer patient and cannot work. She will undergo surgery in April at the hospital in Rayong then it should remove a tumour of approximately 1 kg from the stomach. Grandma will spend a week in the hospital and the girl will be there all the time as support. Grandmother's new husband is often away from home so they can cope on their own. Today's aid packages with food and hygiene items, as well as a large number of second-hand clothes and other things were much appreciated. She also received a watch from CK travel and a simple bracelet. The watch she gave directly to the grandmother who she thought needed it better.

The next visit was to support the family Sven Erik & Anders Ferdinand's girl, 16, who lives together with his aunt and his family. She works every Saturday and Sunday at a beach restaurant to contribute to the household. The visit was therefore to the workplace where we otherwise tend to eat lunch, some weekends. Full with guests but it went well with a break to meet us. Everything was fine with her, so we did not keep her unnecessarily long time but gave them a wristwatch that CK Travel bestowed and a frugally bracelet. She was so happy for this and thank you so much for then to continue with their work.

Environmental Project 11th Sunday completed, 2017-02-12.

For today's cleaning came twelve work-hungry fellows and one of our Thai volunteers. We ourselves were also in place to support our fellows with the cleaning. The tests for term-ratings is in full swing so it was surprisingly many as could come. It was real high water and a lot of wound debris. When we go back for our pick-stretch, there are many Thai at the picnic which we call the "Please keep Mae Phim Clean" and pointing to the text on the wests back. Most nods and makes thumbs up but probably still forget to bring their garbage. After finishing the work, it was as usual lunch and monetary gift. Today there was no caring in place and invited all the ice cream. All are welcome to participate in the cleaning and the reward will be a lunch. For those of you who are not keen on garbage picker you are welcome to sponsor ice cream, and be the favorite.

Visit to the grantee, 2017-02-09.

Today's visit was to sponsor family Ingrid & Rutger Persson girl, 16 years old, living with Grandma and Grandpa, and a disabled aunt. Along with our interpreter, Kung, we visited the families to see that everything was OK at home. It was just like before a positive and happy family. Grandma is a little concerned about his diabetes. Along with Kung, we try to encourage her to exercise more so that she can order on blood sugar. In addition to a package with food and hygiene items, we also had a wristwatch to the girl from CK Travel and some simple bracelet to the girl, grandmother and aunt. Everything was much appreciated especially by the aunt who lives in a little world of his own. The girl has grown a lot in recent times and are now much longer than Raija. It is a diligent girl as often as she can participate in beach cleaning to get some pocket money. Next time we see her get along with the teacher in the middle of March for the reconciliation of the tests and the calculation of new scholarship.

Environmental Project 10th Sunday completed, 2017-02-05.

For today's cleaning came again ten working hungry fellows and two of our Thai volunteers. Today we were very in place to support our fellows with the cleaning. As previously Sundays, it is a number of scholars that test for different things in schools. Chinese New Year celebrations are still ongoing but there was surprisingly little debris left. The municipality has probably made an additional cleaning. After finishing the work, it was as usual lunch and monetary gift. Today was another of CCTs support families, Mille Claréus, who was on the spot and invited all the ice cream. A man with a "big heart" who became fellows' favorite on this day. All are welcome to participate in the cleaning and the reward will be a lunch. For those of you who are not keen on garbage picker you are welcome to sponsor ice cream, and be to days favorite.

Grantee gets a bicycle, 2017-02-05.

One of CCTs support families, Gerd & Rolf Starkenberg, has donated a second hand bike. There are several of the fellows who need bike so I had to choose the neediest. Then we judged that priority is a girl, 15, who lives with his grandmother and grandfather in the shed outside SunthornPhu. Now she has the opportunity to cycle to the village and to the friends nearby. Many thanks to Rolf and Gerd we convey from the girl.

Support family arranges the collection of the CCT, 2017-02-04.

Supporting Family Ulla & Egon Bäckman made a spontaneous gathering at a dinner at Be Happy in favour of CCT. When the hat passed around among the participants was 4 120 THB collected. Many thanks for the very good initiative which we hope is contagious to other Thai guests in the area.

Environmental Project ninth Sunday completed, 2017-01-29.

For today's cleaning came this time of ten working-hungry fellows and two of our Thai volunteers.  We visited good friends in the capital and could not attend. In the schools have semester tests ratings started, and tests for colleges and universities. They performed mostly on weekends, which means that grantees cannot participate in the beach project. Chinese New Year has just started so a lot of debris left behind was taken care of. After finishing the work, it was as usual lunch and monetary gift. Today was one of CCTs support families, Uffe Lindberg, on the spot and invited all the ice cream. An easy way to become very popular among the fellows. All are welcome to participate in the cleaning and the reward will be a lunch. For those of you who are not keen on garbage picker you are welcome to sponsor ice cream, and be the favourite of the day.

First University scholar married, 2017-01-22.

Today was a fantastic day. We were invited to the wedding as "Mama and Papa" to a girl who had their training paid by CCTs Utilities. The girl's mother was so grateful for all the help so she insisted that we would take over her mother's role in the wedding. The girl's father is dead for many years, and her brother died in the wake of Dengu five years ago.

It was for us a great honour and a great pleasure we undertook this honour. Thai Nuptial rituals are completely different from Swedish. It starts at seven in the morning with a collection for the monks' arrival. Nine monks will eventually and take place on a long podium. A master of ceremonies first will start up and then leads the monks' blessing ceremony. The ceremony will last about an hour and then share those guests of honour symbolically the rice in the monks' bowls. All other food to the monks laid out on their podium.

When the monks received their food, all guests are welcome to bring themselves to themselves at a buffet. After the food

When the monks received their food, all guests are welcome to bring themselves to themselves at a buffet. After the food it is time for the gift parade. It starts with a few horrendous loud clatter strip lights and then parading a large number of guests with gifts to the bride and groom who will fill the entire podium monks utilized and a large part of the floor.

Then it is time for the groom to buy themselves access to the marriage ceremony. He must pass a number of symbolic barriers and for each he will pass, he must pay a fee. When he was well done, this is the time for the actual wedding ceremony with rings, arm and necklaces in gold and dowry in cash. When the rings and the gold is in place, spread the money on a canvas in which we and the groom's parents and close relatives spread prosperity with flower petals and different spices over dowry. When this is done, fold the bride's mother, Raija in this case, the liner and put it over his shoulder and walks away with dowry to the couple's room. The room is decorated with flowers and gifts, and there are also placed dowry.

Now the actual wedding ceremony finished, and now remains good wishes from everyone present in this case was about 350 people. Congratulations proceeds so that while said good luck pulling a wire three times back and forth over the wrist and then adding the round and makes a knot. At the same time handed over a gift to the bride and groom usually consists of money in an envelope. The bride and groom thank by all guests receive a commemorative gift. As the bride's Deputy Parents so we started this ceremony, and after a few hours so had all the guests doing the same thing.

It would have been a fantastic day and the feelings were probably equivalent as if it were worth our real daughter. Now we can only look forward to a number of bonus grandchildren as time goes on.

Environmental Project eighth Sunday completed, 2017-01-22.

For today's cleaning came ten working hungry fellows and one of our Thai volunteers. Then we and our volunteers Kung unable to attend because we were invited to CCTs first university-stipendiats wedding. After the wedding, we visited the cleaning crew, and when we were visited by tourist police from BanPhe. It was a male and a female police officer and a trainee. They were very curious about what the "Please keep Mae Phim Clean" and Child Care was. After a nice chat about the project and CCT thanked so much for a nice and much needed initiative and wished good luck. After finishing the work, it was as usual lunch and gift money but no glass sponsor did not show up as dessert came. All are welcome to participate in the cleaning and the reward will be a lunch. For those of you who are not keen on garbage picker you are welcome to sponsor the ice cream.

Enrollment of two fellows in Rayong Technical College, 2017-01-21.

Today, we wrote two more fellows in Rayong Technical College. There are two girls, age 15, going from senior secondary third year of a three-year training. One of the girls will study marketing and the other will be building techniques. To search for vocational training from the third grade is possible for students with good grades. It gives them time vocational training at the same time as their peers to complete high school. CCT now has four grantees enrolled for vocational education in this school. Vocational training is far more costly than high school so we are grateful for sponsors for these grant holders study. You who want to become a sponsor Please contact info@childcare.in.th.

Along with the Lundström family, we made return visits to their "family" to confirm the support Lundström will provide. We delivered a football to the boy and four chairs that Mom wished and some extra food. After some talk, we became aware that the mother's chemotherapy has not yet started. She has no one to see to the children if she would be admitted and have therefore refrained from treatment.

We emphasized the importance of undergoing treatment to ensure their recovery and for the interpreter's explanation so she promised to start on Monday. The treatment is done at the hospital in Rayong so Lundström gave a grant so she can make several trips there. The girl was working as usual, so we also made visits to her workplace. It is a Somtam restaurant near the home where she is a little factotum. We ordered Somtam and little else as takeaway which tasted just fine.

Environmental Project 7th Sunday completed, 2017-01-15.

Today it was again parenthood in some schools, but it came anyway eleven work-hungry fellows and two of our Thai volunteers. After this week's windy weather so it was very much debris that washed ashore in addition to the usual garbage that Thai visitors leave behind. We got the much needed extra help by Lina Stöckel who joined the picking. The sun and heat returned with 35 degrees did not make things easier. But they all fought and did a good job so we did almost all of the predetermined distance. After finishing the work, it was as usual lunch and Money gift in addition commanded Gerd Stöckel ice cream to all participants. Much appreciated especially such a hot day like this. Everyone is welcome to participate, and the reward will be a lunch. For those of you who are not keen on garbage picker you are welcome to sponsor the ice cream.

Children Day, 2017-01-13.

So it was again time for the Children's Day in Thailand's schools. In the morning we were contacted by the school in Chak Makrut to remind you that their program was changed to only run on am. After breakfast, we went there. There, the party was already in full swing with food service and performances. We have only one scholarship, a girl of 12 years, left in this school. She performed in a dance troupe who performed the dance dedicated to the former king. It would appear that there is a consistent theme in honour of the late king in this year's program. Tradition is that families are buying colourful garlands hung around the neck of the dancers to compliment the performance, in addition, they receive a coin in his hand. The rims is then returned and sold again and the money from the sale goes to school. In the evening it was time for the big party that will take place at the school in the Kram. We went there with Tommy & Max Lundström, Suzanna was unfortunately sick could not come. They had not previously been on a BD celebration and were interested to see how the celebration goes on.

We have four fellows, three girls and a boy, of different ages in this school and everyone would participate in various performances. All around the school area are treated to food and beverages of all kinds. Everything is free, it is sponsored by local business owners, so just help yourself to the stomach say stop. During our walk among food stalls, we met all our fellows who were also hungry. The first part of the party is a lot of talk of various school officials of which we do not understand anything. We met a couple of supporting families, Gerd & Rolf Starkenberg and Gerd Stöckel, who was also there to celebrate. But when the clock is approaching eight pulls it off. First, with students from kindergarten and then with older students. Our first scholar to appear was the boy. He danced in a grim mask along with a number of boys and girls. The reward was garlands around his neck and a coin in his hand. Before next appearance was mingling with both Swedish and Thai friends. Later, it became a performance dedicated to the King where two of the girls attended. It is full of chaos arrived at the scene by relatives to be encouraging with wreaths and money. But after some elbowing we came back and both girls were rewarded with wreaths and money. The last of the girls performed in a dance with a completely pleasant song. We have not previously been informed that she has such an amazing voice. We were so surprised and captured by a performance we forgot to take a video. The girl is then an accident incapacitated and can not participate in physical activities. With this song she taught other skills that impressed the entire audience. The time was late, all the fellows had participated, we were full and tired so it remained only to thank those present teachers for a fancy arrangements and return home.

Visit the scholarship along with new support family, 2017-01-09.

Family Suzanna & Tommy Lundström with children Anna Clara & Max has previously been the host family for a boy who has now moved to another province. From that commitment, we know that Lundström is very caring and generous to a fellow human being in need. We therefore proposed a meeting with a new family who are in urgent need of support. It is the girl and her little brother who lives with his mother in a "garage". The girl is 19 years old and studying marketing at college in Rayong on a scholarship from the CCT. Little brother is 10 years and going in primary school 3rd class. His mother is from cancer for several years and has recently completed her second breast surgery. She is not feeling so well and is unable to work. The girl is forced to work Saturday, Sunday and any other spare time to support the family. It was a nice meeting where you probably can say that "mutual love" arose between the families "at first sight". After a very brief reflection decides Lundström family to become the guardian angel who helps with rent and food, as well as a contribution to the girl's scholarships. Thanks to this support will also be the little brother to the scope of CCTs scholarship program to secure his continued education. We are now all fingers crossed that the mother's treatment will give results so that she recovers. Along with the family, we are very grateful for the support that so quickly decided by Lundström.

Cremation, 2017-01-08.

Today it was a very tough day. Along which supporting family, Mille Claréus & Gun Ohlin, we attended at our stipendiats cremation. A very moving ceremony with the bereaved families, relatives and many friends. There were several hundred people who signed up to take a final goodbye to the girl. A school band played and an estimated fifty companions sang a song to his friend.

Our name was called soon after our arrival wish meant we were up on the podium to the chest to send a gift, then blessed by monks. When all the gifts are handed a last farewell by all present again goes up to the podium for the closure of a flower on the coffin. The family then gives a little keepsake to all

One of our fellows who recently moved to his father in another province is on New Year's night died in a traffic accident. There is a girl 15 years old who tragically prematurely has left the earth life. It was a sweet and friendly girl with very good results. Along with his support family, Mille Claréus & Gun Ohlin, we visited the wake and expressed our condolences to her mother and father, grandmother and other relatives. The wake lasts until Sunday when there will be cremation. We will, together with Mille & Gun attend the cremation to show our deep sympathy in this tragedy.

CK Tours offers CCTs fellows on the outing, 2017-01-02.

Fellows' annual outing was sponsored for the fourth year by Christer Kullberg CK Tours together with his "squire" Tomas Kaufmann was the tour guide. At the conclusion of last year's trip to "Turtle Island" expressed wishes of the children that the next destination would be Koh Samed. Christer took note of it and to the children's delight outing became the target it as they wished, Koh Samed. It all started with lunch at the Princess Hotel where everyone also had to borrow was his towel. After 30 minutes journey by speed boat we got to the western beach, Ao Prao Beach, Koh Samed. With us also came with some support families to help keep track of children. It was twenty-two children but only two were swimmers so it took several eye for safety's sake. Beach toys were included, and after a little tentative start as both Frisbees and beach tennis and running. There were even mask and snorkel to all and eventually went on life jackets and despite the absence of how to swim so they snorkeled most. All participants were treated during their stay on the island a snack with drinks and a plentiful fruit plate. The planned walk to view the rock did not occur because no one wanted to leave the sea. When it was time to go home, it was only after more calls that it was possible to get all the students out of the sea for the collection and embarkation waiting speedboats. On return to the Princess thanked all of Christer and Thomas, for a very pleasant outing. Although requests for next year's excursion was performed. Nothing was decided, but we will wait and see if it becomes a sponsorship next year and together with Christer and Thomas find a good alternative. We also want to thank the accompanying support families, Eva & Robert Eklund, Gun-Marie and Leif Taube, Max Lundström and Anna Clara Lundström with boyfriend for their help to monitor the children.

Environmental Project 4th & 5th Sunday completed, 2016-12-18 & 25th

Again, a few days cleaning out with the help of our volunteers Kung & Pao. We went a couple of weeks to Sweden to celebrate Christmas. The fellows led by volunteers carry out the cleaning in a meritorious manner without our participation. In addition to lunch and their monetary gift, all participants had a wristwatch as Christmas gift to Chris and Tomas. Upcoming Sunday it

Grantee attacked by dogs, 2016-12-10.

A scholar, a girl, was now late afternoon attacked by dogs when driving on a moped. It resulted in the mop crashed and the girl had severe abrasions. Luckily so was nothing broken or head injuries. She survived the bite thanks to bystanders who chased away the dogs. She is for the time being hospitalized in Klaeng for care and observation.

Environmental Project 2nd Sunday completed, 2016-12-04.

Today was a special cleaning day. There were 17 work-hungry teenagers and they had a special mission. Besides, as usual, picking up trash, a targeted operation against caps and corks happen. Participants were asked to try to pick all the corks and caps as they saw. To help they received equipment with long nails to get off the caps. As an added bonus for this, they were offered 1 THB per cap and cork sponsored by CK Travel and B&O and Raija. When the shift was clear everything was sorted into piles of 10 to make it easier to count. After lunch and the monetary gift was completed started the count. There were a large number of piles to post and when the bill was completed, total 3390 pcs. We rounded up to 3400, which gave each of the participants 200 THB extra. Guess where young people first became very surprised by the large number and then very happy for the money. Unfortunately, it quickly becomes much trampled caps again after some time, maybe the same effort must be made again. If anyone want to sponsor a capful picking so please let us hear from you.info@childcare.in.th.

Investigation of two fellows who has absconded from school, 2016-11-27.

It's a boy, 13 years old, who did not come to the start of school and a girl, aged 14, who disappeared last month last semester. We have through our Thai volunteers tried to ascertain what happened during the time we were in Sweden. She has not been able to get the full clarity what caused the absence.
The boy was the one who lived behind the old sawmill in a really terrible environment. Now we have been to the sawmill and interviewed staff about what happened the family. We found out that they have moved to another province, the province from the boy's sister's husband come from. We hope they can get a better living and working there and that the boy may continue school.

The girl lived with her mother in a plantation owner's house she works for. The girl has disappeared from both the home and the last semester in school. We have finally received confirmation that she has moved to a girlfriend in another district. Unfortunately, she does not go to school where she is. She was a good student and could have gone to any lengths using CCTs scholarships. Her defection maybe depends on that she got into bad company because her girlfriend do not go to school. We can only regret that she was due to youthful foolishness destroys her entire future.

The environmental project "Please keep Mae Phim clean" after the summer break started again, 2016-11-27.

Today, the environmental project "I am ambassador Please keep Mae Phim Clean" re-started after the summer break. As before CK-Travel is the sponsor. All grantees are invited to participate and now the first day were 14 youngsters. Also, two Thai volunteers, Raija & B-O and Rolf Starkenberg, who is one of CCTs support families joined. Everyone gathered in the sala at Buffalo Bill and welcomed by us and Tomas from CK Tours. Since everyone knew what to do, that all foreign objects to be picked up and everything from nature left the work could start at once. It picked up all sorts plastic parts, bottle caps in thousands, small ropes, lighters, etc. After half the time a well-deserved water break. Then continue picking until lunch when the retreat towards Kitchen Restaurant offers the opportunity to pick the one which bypassed earlier. After all washed their hands they had lunch at the restaurant. After lunch we thanked for good work and CK-Tours winning grantees with a generous monetary gift. The project will then run every Sunday starting at. 9:00 until March 27 with the exception of New Year's Day. If anyone would like to join, you are very welcome. You will receive no monetary gift but gets invited to lunch. If you do not want to participate in picking so you can come and reward participants with an ice cream.

School visits, 2016-11-23.

The last regular school visit for the semester was to Huai Yang secondary school where there currently is one fellow. It's a boy, 15 years old, who is in the 3rd grade. He has performed reasonably satisfactory but has now past semester lagged behind. It is now his final term in compulsory education. We have in any way supported him in all the years since he has very difficult household. Now we make a final attempt with support from the teacher and uncle. We hope it gives results so that he gets a fair term rating if his mother, who announced, gets him to another province in March.

School visits, 2016-11-19.

Today's visit was to Technic College Rayong where there currently are two fellows. There are two girls, both age 19, one studying "marketing" and the other "accounting". The first semester is completed with more than passing grades. One of the girls, despite a situation a struggle succeeded. Her mother has relapsed in cancer, and is newly operated. The girl needs to support mother and brother, as well as pay rent, electricity, etc. work every evening and Saturday and Sunday. We are therefore looking for a support family that can be set up with financial assistance to ease the workload for the benefit of the studies. If you want to help contact info@childcare.in.th.

School visits, 2016-11-16.

Today's visit is the second to Klaeng Wittayasata Worn secondary school

Today we met the other students, a boy and two girls, one from the second and one from 3rd and 4th grade. The girls have very good score despite the fact that one has only a short time in high school. The boy in the third grade, however, falling behind even though we past semesters tried to cheer him to do more schoolwork. He has received help from the teachers and also from an older brother with homework. It is now his final term in compulsory education. If he does not achieve a approved grade GPA to the next semester his scholarships will be stopped. He is well aware of this, so we hope he makes a major shake-up so that he can continue the last three years of high school.

School visits, 2016-11-15.

Today's school visit is the first of two to Klaeng Wittayasata Worn secondary school,

There are currently seven fellows and therefore it will be divided into two visits. There are two boys and five girls’ ages 15 - 18 years in classes 2-6. Today we met two students from the 6th and one from the 4th and 5th grade. Sixth-graders, a boy and a girl, are both very talented and should test for university studies next year. The girls in 4th and 5th grade are not quite on the top rating-wise. We are therefore trying to encourage them to improve so that they can qualify for higher studies when they go out of the sixth grade. All, however, the GPA to obtain scholarships for the semester.

Visit the scholarship along with support family, 2016-11-13.

The visit was to a singing girl who has RickMick as support family. Girl goes in first class in Sunthonpu Pittaya secondary school and have very good grades. She has past year grown a lot, and during the visit she received as encouragement for good studies an extra clothes contributions by RickMick. The mother works at a small resort where the owner also owns the house in which they live. She has free accommodation and food but it is questionable what she gets in wages. It feels as if she is serf "maid" and have no opportunity to make demands. The girl has in all cases the school paid thanks to CCTs scholarship and monthly contributions from RickMick.

Courtship of scholarship graduates of the University, 2016-11-13.

It's a girl, 24 years old, who studied at the University Ramphai Phannee in Chantaburi, faculty, Financial & Banking. She graduated last spring and is now working in an international manufacturing company's finance department. A good evidence that CCTs work with scholarships to poor but ambitious young people provides the opportunity for a good education and secure future.
We were in Sweden at the time of the exam so therefore we are courting her now. There was a dinner at her favourite restaurant and graduation present she got a lucky-charm with necklace in gold. During dinner, she revealed the good news that she is getting married in January. Her fiancé is from Kram and he has a good job as an engineer. These young people have thanks to good education a "key to the future".

School visits, 2016-11-13.

Today's visit was to ASEAN College in Klaeng where it currently has a scholarship. It's a girl, 19 years old, who runs his last semester in the subject, accounting. She has done a better accomplishment than expected in this school and has received top marks. During this last semester, she has certain weekday’s practical work in a company. When she takes her graduation in spring, she has a guaranteed job to go to. It is further evidence that CCTs bet with scholarships to poor but ambitious young people provides the opportunity for a good education and secure future.

School visits, 2016-11-11.

Today's visit was to Wat Noensai Primary school where there currently is a Fellow. It's the girl, 12 years old, who got her foot surgery thanks to a generous donor of Sea View. The operation has been very successful and she now has good movement in his toes. Through her support family, she has also made contact with a physiotherapist who worked out a training program for her.
She is in 6th grade so this is her last semester in the school and in the spring she will probably join Sunthonpu Pittaya secondary school. She is one of the few students in our program that we have long tried to help and motivate because she has a little struggle in school. She gets scholarships for this last semester in the school and in the spring we will evaluate if there can be a continuation.

School visits, 2016-11-10.

Today's visit is the second to Sunthonpu Pittaya secondary school. Today we met the other students, two from the 1st and one from the 2nd and 3rd class. All have very good grades even though they only have a short time in high school. Sometimes there is a dip when students go up in high school, but here they have passed it with success.

School visits, 2016-11-09.

Today's school visit is the first of two to Sunthonpu Pittaya high school. There are currently eight fellows, and therefore it will be divided into two visits. All scholars of this school are girls aged 13-19 years. Today we met two students from the 6th and one from 3rd and 4th grade. All students have more than passing grades and one from the 6th class has in national math test the best in the province and the 11th best in Thailand and will test for university studies next year. The second from 6th is focused on vocational training so we will see in the spring what happens to them.

School visits, 2016-11-08.

Today's school visits were to Ban Noen Din Daeng primary school where there currently is a Fellow. It's the boy, 11 years old, who last year lost his mother. He is in 4th grade and is very ambitious and good at school. In his last school racing he swam and was district champion. He has a great singing voice so at this school he competes in song. He has won district competitions and then competed in the province where he also placed high up in the list.

School visits, 2016-11-07.

Today's school visit was to Wat Klaeng Kram primary school where there currently are four fellows. There are three girls and a boy. The girls go in the 3rd grade and the boy in the sixth grade. All are very good with high grade in all subjects. After a review of their needs for the semester, they receive a new scholarship. In the spring, the boy will move to Sunthopu Pittaya secondary school.

Planning meeting for the continuation of the environmental project "Please Keep Mae Phim Clean", 2016-11-04.

On the initiative of CK Travel, Christer Kullberg & Tomas Kaufman, last winter semester beach cleaning started along with CCTs fellows. The fellows were dubbed the "I am an ambassador for Mae Phim Please Keep Clean" and every Saturday cleaned the beach. For their bet they got after three-hour sessions a generous monetary gift as well as lunch and transportation to and from the beach, which was sponsored by CK Tours.
We met CK Tours Christer Kullberg and Thomas Kaufman. Everyone thinks it was a successful project, and after some discussions so decided as soon as possible to start up again. It will be the same condition as before but the cleaning will be moved from Saturday to Sunday.
The project will then run every Sunday starting November 27. 9:00 to 27 March except New Year's Day. If anyone is familiar to participate, you are very welcome. You will receive no monetary gift but gets invited to lunch.

The first school visit for the winter semester, 2016-11-04.

The visit is to Chak Makrut primary school where there currently is only one scholarship. There is a girl, 12 years, who is in the 4th grade. She is a very good student with a GPA of 3.9 out of 4 possible so she more than meets the criterion for a new scholarship.

Planning meeting with the volunteers, 2016-10-31.

Our volunteer "Angel King" has since handled all contacts with schools. Today she suggests a plan which she reconciles with schools. Depending on what stage they are in the start-up of the semester there will be perhaps some adjustments. But we'll soon notice that most of it is fixed and the first visit will be in November 4th.

Back in Thailand, 2016-10-30.

After an amazing summer in Sweden, we are back in our second home in Mae Phim. Autumn was on its way so it is wonderful to spend the winter months here. The school starts now so CCTs operations is the first priority. First action will be talks with CCTs Thai volunteers for agreement on the appropriate day and time for a meeting. Already in the morning there will be meeting with the volunteer who handles all the contacts for planning school visits. Coming Sunday we meet the second volunteer, who manages the purchase and delivery of support packages, for details of fellows' family situation.

Activities in 2016 from April to August.

During our stay in Sweden manage our Thai volunteer’s contacts with schools and scholars. They even make the purchase and delivery of individually tailored package of support to the neediest families. Swedish and Norwegian support families give a contribution each month to aid packages and scholarships. Each month sends volunteers detailed report on purchases, after our inspection report is forwarded to the respective support family.
From late March and throughout April, there have been school holidays and in May started the summer semester in Primary & Secondary School. Already at the start of school picked one of the fellows who lived with her grandmother by her mother who lives in another province. It is the second time it happens, the last attempt resulted in that he lost a semester, we hope it will go better this time.

In May took CCTs first university scholarship graduated in Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University, Faculty of Management Science - Finance. It is a girl from Sunthornphu, soon 24 years old. She has now received extensive training through CCTs supporters' generous contributions to her scholarships. After graduation, she began her first "real" job at a company's finance department. That's exactly what CCTs support programs aimed at and it feels great to get confirmation that the program produces results. Unfortunately we were not able to attend the graduation, but in the fall we congratulate her with a personalized graduation gift and wish her good luck with "the key to the future."

Later in the summer, the scholar who lives behind the old sawmill escaped with a friend. Perhaps not surprisingly, since his home conditions are very bad. Our volunteers have not been able to contact him as presently We do not know what he's doing. Very sad because education was his chance to get a better future.

Another scholar, a girl who lives with his mother on a fruit plantation, has escaped. She has moved to a girlfriend and are no longer in school. Very sad here since she was a good student and had all the makings of a good education. It is well teenage problems even in Thailand and when home conditions are difficult, it is not capable of controlling the youth on the right track.

Everyone to complete their education is of course the goal, but we have had in the calculation that one or another should not manage this and two on a semester does not feel good. When we in the autumn will come back, we try to catch these kids and see if you can get them back in school again.

Now, in August, the two of fellows who attend universities started their fall semester. It is their third semester and so far, they have succeeded beyond expectations in their studies.

One of the volunteers during the summer arranged for a fellow had their teeth repaired and eliminated a tooth replaced with a bridge. The fellow support family have given extraordinary contribution to cover all costs. Many thanks, very generous and thoughtful.

Another supporter has joined the utility, 2016-05-25.

There is a girl who lives with her aged grandparents in a garage Judith Orrevik has decided to help. The girl is very good at school and also takes care of much of the housework. She also works on weekends to help supply. She is presently 2nd year of high school and has ambitions to after high school to continue with training. Judith gives now provides a customized support packages every month, as well as scholarship funds for her education.

The eleven-year old boy gets support family, 2016-04-25.

Our ad support family of the eleven-year old boy who recently lost his mother has paid off. It is family Ann Windmar & Stefan Björk with an apartment in Grand Beach who takes him under his' protective wings. Now he gets each month an aid package with food and hygiene tailored to the needs of the month. A much needed help to the aunt he lives with to be able to support. Aunt is low paid and must often work seven days a week to meet his and his daughter's living expenses. A family member was a very tough commitment now by support from Ann & Stefan lightens considerably. In addition to monthly support package that also includes an allowance for school the cost of the assistance offered. The boy is overjoyed and grateful for the support and transmit through the interpreter a big thanks to Ann & Stefan. While we at CCT are grateful that another family has shown concern and support to a needy family.

Childcare Thailand five years, 2016-04-01.

It is now five years since we started the CCT. During these years there has been a great development of business thanks to the support we have received and are receiving from our sponsors. The first fellow we got tips about using one of our Thai friends, there was a boy who lived with his uncle and his family in a shed on a rubber plantation. Our Thai friends then arrived with several tips and the crowd grew to a handful. For each new scholarship, we visited their school and talked to the teachers and we realized pretty soon that teachers have a unique knowledge of the families in the area. To CCTs help would come to those who most need it, we asked because teachers would suggest fellows. To sample be equal in all schools, we made an instruction on Thailand to teachers with the criteria a child would fulfil to get a scholarship from the CCT. Suggestions from teachers has since dropped out, and as the economy has allowed new fellows adopted so that during the last few years 30+. It has been very interesting to follow the fellows' development from semester to semester and see that the scholarship has made a big difference to them. We also learned a lot about Thai school and culture and made many new friends. . CCTs goal is of course to give scholars the opportunity of a good education and now in our taking the first fellow, a girl, who studied at university graduated. She now has an education that gives her the opportunity for a completely different life situation than she would have achieved without CCTs scholarships. Currently, it is another four grantees enrolled in higher education, two universities and two technical colleges. In the coming years is the additional number on the turn to move to the different forms of vocational training, which means that CCTs budget increases each semester. On CCTs continued to travel in the future, we therefore gratefully forward to our current sponsors go by, it's your contributions that allow us to make a difference for the fellows. Those of you who have not yet "jumped on the bandwagon" but feel that you want to be with that through CCTs activities make a difference for children in need, there is a good spot, welcome aboard, we need your support.

Meeting with volunteers, 2016-04-01.

Today we had a planning meeting with the volunteers because it is the last day of our stay in Thailand this winter. Our priceless Thai volunteers, Kung & Pla, our "right-hand girls".  They take care of everything that we cannot do. They make monthly purchases and deliveries of the "support package" to 11 of the most needy families’, maintain contact with scholars and schools, help grantees with problems, sends monthly reports to us, etc. They make an invaluable contribution which allows us to feel secure that everything works well even when we are not in place.

Delivery of reading light, 2016-03-31.

One of our fellows on Technic Rayong live in a "garage" without windows and with bad lighting. We therefore took that to-school supply a reading light to her so she can better study.

Return visits to the hospital, 2016-03-31.

Time for a second visit to the hospital in Klaeng. On the advice of our interpreter, we took the afternoons this time which proved to be wise. Only some 30 patients in the waiting room at the time. The changeover was quick and we got this time to be in the treatment room. We end our season here this week so future visits will be undertaken by a taxi as sponsor family pre-ordered. We hope the taxi service should be able to give us reports so we know how it goes.

Delivery of TV, 2016-03-28.

Finally the boys have got their long-awaited TV and games console. The location was in a room used for storage to not disturb the great-grandmother and her son when playing. The rules for use were repeated, first, the current school work is managed and can then be allowed to play for a limited time. It was just the older brother at home, but his happiness cannot be described when we started up the first game. The younger brother is in a temple school a time to catch up with some things. He will most certainly appreciate the opportunity to play like his brother. We are now have fingers crossed that everything will work as agreed so we do not need to take back the TV and games.

Return visits to the hospital, 2016-03-28.

Return visits on Mondays go to Bangkok Hospital Rayong to the orthopaedist surgeon should have control over the healing process. Wound healing proceeds in a good way and within a week, some support wires in the toes and a nail in the ankle to be removed. Thereafter, it is a small skin graft over a portion of the wound. The mother received a set dressings with instructions to take to the next shift to be made at the hospital in Klaeng on Thursday.

Stipendiat written on Rayong Technical College 2016-03-27.

Today, we entered another one of CCTs Scholars, a girl 19 years old, Rayong Technical College. There is a large reputable state school with many courses. Our scholarship to study accounting for two years, first semester starts in May. After the training, she can get a relatively well-paid job, she can then help his old grandmother with the livelihood of the family, which also consists of a severely disabled younger sister.

Environmental Project 12th Saturday completed, 2016-03-26.

Today was the 12th and last Saturday of the season's environmental projects. Together with us, Judith and Timo was seventeen fellows who took on the day cleaning. Despite a large cleaning effort during the week of the municipal team, there was to do. At half-time there was as usual a well-deserved water break and at full time awaited lunch. After the food offered at the Kitchen ice cream for dessert. As a representative of CK trips, which sponsored the project, spoke Tomas Kaufman to grantees and thanked them for a great job. He greeted them also welcome back in the autumn for a new cleaning season. All fellows who helped create a nice community and had great fun at work. They are grateful that they have to participate, and they all look forward to continue next season. Before going home some wanted to take a swim in the sea. Raija and Timo acted lifeguards and eleven boys and girls jumped into the water. It was a real highlight, and they never wanted to come up on the land again. But after a time so ended fun in the bath with a shower in the Kitchen. Wet but happy they took place in songtauen to go home. Next season will start in October. We then need a number of volunteers who help, welcome and please contact us with your inquiry.

New hit on television delivery, 2016-03-24.

After several attempts to book a meeting, we finally come and talk to the son of the house about the TV. To be sure that he knows who we are and what we do, we will tell the interpreter about the relief effort to the boys and old men. After some discussion we will anyway come to the following agreement. The boys must first do their school work and then they get a limited time per day. On those terms, the TV and video game console on loans during a semester. This autumn we will evaluate how it worked. If the guys managed their part of the bargain they get the stuff and if we do not take them back. It was the best we could come up and everyone seems to be happy with the agreement.

Return visits to the hospital, 2016-03-24.

Today made appointments for diversion to the hospital in Klaeng. We get there about 9:30 and find a hospital with hundreds of patients in the waiting room. Thanks to our interpreter contacts guided us to the right department and the girl gets her shift without too long a wait. We did not get to be with and document or speak to the doctor but our interpreter assured that all was well with her foot. On the way out we pass the heaped waiting room again and cannot fail to see that among all the waiting is thirty stretcher’s with emaciated apathetic elderly. We meet a grandmother of one of our fellows who are there with her husband, he has recently had a stroke. We greet him and allowed a faint smile back but we are not completely sure that he recognized us.

School visits, 2016-03-23.

Today it was time for the 2nd visit in Sunthonphu secondary school for the review of the remaining fellow’s term results. One of them will move to his father in Changmai and his new family. Because of the move, she becomes therefore taken off our utilities as it only includes accommodation in Klaeng district. Her records showed a surplus of nearly three thousand which were repaid to us. We keep our fingers crossed that she will continue her education and not be the nanny of his father's new family. For the other, it became customary review of the study results and calculation of scholarships for the coming term. One of our grant holders support family, Lilian & Björn Ziesnitz, and their daughter came with a tour of the school. The scholar and a teacher took them on a tour so they got a glimpse of a Thai school.

School visits, 2016-03-22.

Today's school visits Sunthonphu went to secondary school in Kram, where we will have 10 scholarship students in different classes next semester. Because they are so many parts that we completed in 2 days so 5 happy girls waited for us today. Among them were two who would be in for his first term in school. For these new students will, except school fees, insurance, lunch and transport also a complete set of uniforms, and shoes part of their scholarships. Existing students receive for review of new academic scholarships for the coming term costs.

Return visits to the hospital, 2016-03-21.

Today it was time for the second follow-up visit after surgery. After the pick-up of mother, daughter and sponsorship they traveled directly to the Orthopedic Clinic for inspection, cleaning and new bandage. Everything was good, no infection and wound healing was good except for a small area where it will be needed a skin graft. Next up visit at Bangkok Hospital is scheduled for the 28th. To get a little shorter trips the girl will go to Klaeng Hospital for new bandage the 24th. The mood is at its peak and she jumps around on her crutches. The visit was ended as before with a coffee in the cafeteria before the trip home.

Visits grantees, 2016-03-20.

The first visit to the two sisters who live with their father in a garage that we previously provided with some secondhand furniture. Both girls go to high school and should begin in May 3rd, respectively 6th grade. We should be at their school in the morning to review the study results and calculation of scholarships for the coming term. We took the girls to the marketplace so they could choose what would be included in the aid package we would buy. It became a popular selection of food and some toiletries.

The next visit was to a girl who is now living in a house with grandpa and grandma. The former residence was a shed of a fruit plantation, so it's great to see that they got better. The girl is one of our best students with top grades in all subjects, 2nd in class. During the next semester, she therefore additional scholarships for studies in the school "Kings Room". We met her at school a few days ago for the semester examination, and then we took the opportunity to ask her what the support package would include. Purchases in the business and the market became as desired and that we added a little extra because we always receive very modest requests. It became a very popular package and as thanks, we became as common in the family invited the coconut, very refreshing and good.

Visits grantees, 2016-03-19.

The first visit was to the brothers who were orphaned a year ago and now lives with an ailing uncle. The elder brother was at home visit from the university so we took the opportunity to go through the conditions for the next school year and calculate the scholarship for this. A year of university costs over 100 000 THB so we have great need of sponsors for these fellows, welcome with your contribution. The two other brothers, we have already passed the scholarship, for the visit to their high school. As always we took with them a package with food and hygiene items, as well as some secondhand things which were much appreciated. Now is the holiday so the guys will work to help with the supply.

The next visit was to the last fellow ASEAN College. There is a girl who used to live with his father but has now moved to an aunt. It is also a very simple accommodation but seems to be more pleasant, which, reflected in her academic performance, which is now very good. Even to her we had with a support package with food and hygiene items, as well as some secondhand stuff. Among other things, a mattress, pillows, a CD player and some clothes, everything was much appreciated.

Environmental Project 11th Saturday completed, 2016-03-19.

Today was probably the most garbage to date on the beach. The winds make it drives a lot from the ocean so we, Judith, the interpreter as well as a couple and our 14 fellows had a tough task. When the time was over we had collected 70 sacks century and relegated them to the garbage cans. After the performance the lunch tasted extra good and at the end Judit invited the whole gang on ice cream.

Grantee change school, 2016-03-17.

The guy who recently lost his mother has moved to a school closer to his aunt's home. Earlier, he had 8 km to the school, but now it will be only 3 km which he handles well because he had a bike of our interpreter friend. We visited the new school to meet the teacher, enroll him and pay the scholarship for next semester. It was a neat old temple school where preparations for the sports day which would be the next day was in full swing. Some happy cries confirmed that the kid already has some friends at school. The only thing he will miss is swimming because this school has different sports events on his schedule. He is a good swimmer and came second in the last school championships.

Return visits to the hospital, 2016-03-17.

Today it was time for the first visit after the surgery. After the pick-up of mother, daughter and sponsorship they traveled directly to the Orthopedic Clinic for inspection, cleaning and new dressing. Everything was good, no infection and wound healing looked good. The toes has a support wire mounted to stretch the tendons that become too short. Next up visit is scheduled for 21/3, then the doctor will decide whether there should be a skin graft over the wound area. Although some pain is the mood on top. When the doctor's visit was over we rounded off with a coffee in the cafeteria before the trip home.

Retrieval of the girl after the first surgery, 2016-03-14.

Faster than expected we were informed retrieval of mother and daughter from the hospital. Right after the school visit they traveled straight to Bangkok Hospital. There were expecting mother and daughter that we would bail them out. The girl was in a wheelchair and had been given a pair of crutches to be used next few days. Everything had gone well with the surgery and she had no pain in the foot. Return visits are planned to the 17th and then we might know when it will receive the graft new skin on the damaged part of the foot.

School visits, 2016-03-14.

Today's school visits went to Wittayasata secondary school in Klaeng where we currently have seven scholarship students in different classes. Most of these are very good students, such as a best-in-class, two are shared second place, one is tied for third, one that is shared second place will go a higher education called the Kings Room. Of the other fellows were all well above medium except one who has a little bit to go. We ask for help from teachers and brothers of the students who now need help to come up in their proper grade level. One of the fellows do their final year and he gets extra lessons in math every Saturday to get the best possible GPA for next year's application to higher education.

Time for TV delivery, 2016-03-12.

At last it was time for the two brothers who live with the grandmother to get a TV with a Playstation. Playstation is bestowed by Birgitta and Anders at Seabrezee and TV by Gisela & Jan at Seaview. The guys were on the beach cleaning so we took them in the car and loaded in the TV and games for the journey to Klaeng and their home. There were two very excited boys who looked in the bag of game CD that came with it. The setup for the test started. But now something unexpected happens, great grandmother suddenly said that we must remove the TV. No one understands anything, whether we, the guys or interpreter. What has happened is that after the great-grandfather died have a son moved into: We have, through the interpreter knew an elderly relative moving in and thought that there may well be good considering the great-grandmother's age. But apparently it was a miscalculation, now suddenly he's the boss in the house. We are trying to persuade the lady but it can not and we must assume to speak with his son. After some questions as we start getting clear about what kind of fellow who moved in. He does not work, but lives by his elderly mother. He will inherit the house when the mother dies and is apparently there to defend their interests. It is not possible in words to describe how sad and disappointed the guys were when we were forced to carry the stuff back to the car. Well, we have not given up yet. We believe that the man did not really understand what we do for the family and why. We have therefore given the mother a proposal for submission to the son. Hopefully he is more cooperative when he understood the message that we are planning a return visit for about a week. Meanwhile, we try to find an alternative solution, perhaps with a location near so the guys can have access to television and games. A really good day can sometimes end this sad for us and especially for the guys.

Environmental Project 10th Saturday completed, 2016-03-12.

The strength of the tutor was a bit decimated today because we were at the hospital with the snake bitten girl and Katarina & Kjell has gone home. It was just King, Mona and Judith from the ordinary but luckily joined by part of Mona's family and their neighbor Daniell and together with 12 fellows the beach was well gutted for a long distance. We just came back for lunch and was able to arrange the day's ice cream, this time sponsored by Marny & Björn Slinning, thank you.

Snake bitten girl to the hospital, 2016-03-12.

We had made an early departure so already at half past eight in the morning we picked up the girl and her mother in the home. On the way to Rayong we picked up the sponsor who pay all the expenses for the girl's treatment. At Bangkok Hospital Rayong, we seek the Orthopedic Department for registration and deposit of money. Mom and girl are calm and happy that finally this day has come when the reconstruction of the foot to start. We are informed that they will stay two to three nights in the hospital so we go home and wait for news.

Visit the scholarship along with support family, 2016-03-11.

Along with supporting the family Agneta and Sven-Erik Ferdinandsson we visited their girls home. As usual, Agneta & S E bought a generous aid package with the desired food. As their journey home to Sweden to take place quite soon and many questions were on the agenda we had with one of our interpreters to facilitate communication. The girl has been the first year in high school and we should go to her school for a couple of weeks to review with her supervisor. She has always had top grades in primary school so we eagerly look forward to hear about the first year in high school.

School visits, 2016-03-10.

After Sports Day was completed in Kram in primary school, we met our fellows, four girls and a boy, for a review of the semester results. The ratings were not very clear, but their teachers insured that they were in the same level as before (GPA between 3 & 4). All received new personalized scholarships for the coming term. One of the fellows is a girl who underwent her last semester and begins in Sunthonphu secondary school in May.

Sports Day, 2016-03-10.

Today's Sports Day in the schools. Students from the school are gathered in Kram always early in the morning at the monument in Sunthonphu for a colorful parade back to school. Then the day continue at school with about the same games that our Swedish children do. When the day's activities is over we have booked a school visit  for a briefing and scholarships to the five scholars who attend the school.

School visits, 2016-03-08.

The first visit was to Wat Wanwa primary school, the school that missed our previous booking. Now both teachers and students were present. We have had two fellows here last semester, and one was the last semester. It's the boy who lives behind the old sawmill and sponsored by the Lundström family, Suzanne, Tommy & Max. He will now begin in May High School in Huayang. The other fellow, the boy who lives with his grandmother and sponsored by Gerd & Rolf Starkenberg. He still has a school year in primary school.

The next visit was to Huayang secondary school where we have had two scholars last semester. One girl took her final exam and we have already entered her in Rayong Technical College. The other fellow is the older brother who lives with his grandmother. It was his first school year in high school, which according to the teachers has been quite a struggle. The ratings are not yet clear but it is very important that he continue his education so we provide scholarship for next semester. At the same time we took the opportunity to enter the fellow, mentioned above, which just ended at Wat Wanwa primary school.

These boys have a really bad home background at home so we keep our fingers crossed that they should motivate themselves for the studies even though they have no real support from their guardians.

School visits, 2016-03-07.

The first visit was to Santiwon primary school where our last scholarship, a girl, in the school will be graduating with very good grades. In May, she begins in high school in Sunthonphu Pittaya secondary school. We enter her there at the end of the month and then she gets her scholarship for the first semester of that school.

The next visit was to the Chak Makrut primary school where we have a scholarship who is starting I 4th grade in May starting. It's the girl who in her youth had been sleeping sickness. Now she is very alert and one of the best students in her class so she got a new scholarship for the next semester.

Visit the fellows with their supporting families, 2016-03-06.

The first visit was to Ulla & Egon Bäckmans girl to introduce one of our Thai volunteers. The volunteer will take care of the delivery of the aid package when Bäckmans shortly returns to Sweden. At the same time Bäckmans got translation help to clear up some questions. Since last fall when Bäckmans took care of the family it has been a great change, they have really made a difference. The roof which leaked like a sieve is fixed, the muddy yard is gravel, lighting with solar installed, and many, many more tools and things. The family is so incredibly happy, excited and grateful for all the help they have received and continue to receive.

The next visit was to RickMicks girl who has moved from the shed on the water to a much better accommodation. On the way there was purchased a support package with various supplies which, as usual, was delighted the family. Rick Mick now know the way there so they can visit her during the time they are here. The girl begins in high school next semester and then it is RickMicks support very much needed and grateful. School cost increases dramatically, first it must be new uniforms and then to both school fees, educational materials, cost for lunch etc.

Delivery of secondhand gadgets to the grantee, 2016-03-05.

After beach cleaning was finished, we took one of the fellows for transportation home. We picked up various second hand stuff that we knew were needed in the family. There was a bike, helmet, mattresses, pillows, football shirt mm. The stuff was donated by a number of CCTs supporters. Thank you very much.

Environmental Project ninth completed Saturday, 2016-03-05.

Again our interpreter Kung, Katarina & Kjell, Judith and Mona who, together with us and a number of scholars did the day cleaning. Here and there it was very much rubbish on the beach so a large number of garbage bags filled the blue containers by the road. Some Thai families had picnics showed great interest in our activity. By our fellows they got information about the project and asked to take care of their garbage and not leave it on the beach. After cleaning it was time for lunch with cash gift and this Saturday nearly all was hungry for an ice cream.

School visits, 2016-03-03.

Today was next school visit scheduled, this time to two schools. The first visit to the school with the snake bitten girl who in May will begin the final year of primary school. She changed to this school last semester, which for some reason resulted in lower scores. After checking with the teachers and the director the studies improved this term and she is now granted scholarships for the next semester. When we arrival to the next school the teacher had forgot our visit and had gone home. We planned a new visit next week.

Visit the scholarship along with support family, 2016-03-02.

Along with supporting the family Ingrid & Rutger Persson we visited their girl living in Klaeng. On the way was purchased a generous aid packages with food and hygiene items. In addition, Ingrid & Rutger brought some personal gifts to the girl, and a big bag with all sorts of things for the family. Even to this family were included one of the donated mattresses which was a good fit. Ingrid & Rutger now sold their house on BM will continue to support this girl with donations. Both we and the family is very happy and grateful for their decision, even after the move from Thailand continue to support the family.

Term reconciliation in schools has started, 2016-02-29.

Some schools concludes the winter semester a little earlier than usual, today was the first visit to  ASEAN College in Klaeng. There are two girls studying, one of them take her final exam in Financial & Banking. The other girl is studying the same topics but in a higher education, and has three years left until graduation. Both have very good grades and if they continue their education here they get a new scholarship for next semester. The other girl looking for a two-year training in the same subjects in Rayong Technical College. In about a month, we will get told if she will be admitted.

Delivery of mattresses, 2016-02-29.

After asking for help, Tomas Kaufman Sanrajs donated a number of mattresses to our fellows. Many thanks for a very much needed donation. A few days ago the first mattress was delivered to the eleven-year old boy. Today it was time for additional supplies. First two thick mattresses to the girl who lives with her cancer mother and little brother in a garage outside Klaeng. Assist with transportation were our neighbors Anders & Anna Karin Florin, thank you so much for your help. Next transport was carried out by one of our Thai volunteers with Katarina & Kjell Sundbäck and the delivery went to the own support family.  It was two thick mattresses which replaced the straw mat that was their previous "mattress". Now there are some lucky families who gets a better night's sleep thanks for kindness and generosity.

Visit of the eleven-year old boy with the support package, 2016-02-27.

The funeral ceremony is now completed and the boy has been a monk for four days to follow her mother's soul to heaven. Therefore, he could participate in today's cleaning and immediately after we finished, we took the boy to the department and to today's marketplace. At the department store, bought a package of rice, oils, spices, noodles, canned goods, shampoo, detergent, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc., as well as fan and mosquito nets. Then off to the market to purchase some clothes and shoes as well as pork, chicken, vegetables, eggs, fruit etc. Besides this, he got a couple of chairs, mattresses, towels, kitchen utensils, bed sheets, pillow, quilt, secondhand clothing mm. It was a great and much needed first package. This boy lives with a poor aunt and need a support family who can sponsor a support package per month. If you want to help the boy please contact us for more information.

Environmental Project eighth completed Saturday, 2016-02-27.

This Saturday was the hardworking crew with our interpreter Kung, Katarina & Kjell, Judith and Mona who, together with us and a number of scholars started the day cleaning. It began with a special mission which was to clean up a section at the AOU Kai. The road could be likened to a smaller tip. After a good hour we had filled a Songtau with garbage bags. The day continued with the regular cleaning of the beach. The entire route from the first sala to Princess was cleaned.  After that we had lunch with the monetary gift. Especially on this day was that everyone was so satisfied that no one wanted an ice cream!!

The snake bitten girl gets donation for the surgery of the foot, 2016-02-20.

We have previously written about the girl, now 11, who was bitten by a snake in the foot many years ago. The tendons to the toes have grown due because of incorrect operation with the result that the toes are bent upward as the foot grows. We have for several years tried to find a solution to measure because later on it will give her a very severe handicap. Even the girl’s support family, Katarina & Kjell Sundbäck, have been deeply involved in the problem. After many twists and turns they finally got the girl to Klaeng hospital for examination and consultation. However, it was uncertain whether public health would manage the problem. When it once again seemed to be in trouble, they told their surroundings about their despair over the situation. Suddenly there popped up a rescue, it's a family until further notice remains anonymous, who offers to pay the required operations on private hospital rather than to tangle with the national health system. First, the tendon will surgery and then it shall be done a plastic surgery to restore the badly damaged skin. The girl, her family and all involved are incredibly grateful and happy for the generosity and thoughtfulness that this family show. The first operation is scheduled for March 12 and then taking it one week before the next operation can be done. But before the summer semester at school starts everything will be fixed.

Our 6th and 7th Saturday Environmental Projects have been completed, 2016-02-13 &20.

The last two Saturdays we have been on “vacation” but with the help of our interpreter Kung, who together with Katarina and Kjell and also Judith and Mona the projects have moved along just like a “dance”.  After lunch, on the 20th, we even had time to enjoy ice cream together at Kitchen’s Ice cream stand. We also participated in the February issue of the Thailandsposten.  (The article is on page 12 & 13 ).  There it is reported all about our environment projects, the CCT and the various CK trips. It is a very nice article and we are grateful for the attention. Please feel free to inquire as to how you can support our organization.

11 yr-old boys’ mother dies, 2016-02-19.

After a long and painful illness the young boys’ mother passed away on Friday the 19th of February.  It has been a difficult time for the boy and other relatives to watch her pain and suffering.  As soon as the funeral arrangements have been made we will make sure to do all that is needed to make sure the young boy and his aunt have a place to live. We have received donations from Rosmarie & Ulf Ekelund, RickMick and Tomas Kaufman for this purpose.  We would like to extend a warm Thank You to them.

The installation of a TV antenna at the home of one of our scholarship recipients, 2016-02-07.

One of our support families; Roy, May-Liss and Tina Helen Ödegård, has given a television set to their recipient family but the existing antenna did not work.  Together with our interpreter we explored the available options and found a regular digital antenna would be sufficient. The antenna and 10 meters of additional cabel was purchased by the Ödegård family. That turned out to work perfect.  There are no monthly charges and 40 different channels become available. The recipient family is very happy and grateful.

A visit with our University scholarship recipient while she is home on school break, 2016-02-06.

One of CCTs university scholarship recipients came home for a visit.  She attends a university northeast of Bangkok and returns home only once a month.  We took the time to meet with her and enquire about her studies and how she feels about campus living.  It turns out that she enjoys campus living.  She has made many new friends.  She shows herself to be a diligent student and her grades are above expectations. We look forward to her continued success. We also brought her a support package containing food and hygiene products which is always appreciated.

Environmental Project fifth Saturday completed, 2016-02-06.

Several different activities limited our number of participants to 13 again.  Two of our volunteers were traveling and one was sick.  But it became a special day anyway.  Nagas Bikers came with a delegation to present us with a donation to CCT.  Money from Nagas “poker Run” and extra contributions from members of the Nagas Bikers in the amount of 15000 THB was given and received with a great amount of joy and gratefulness.  The participating scholarship recipients were somewhat shy but also very impressed and grateful.  After some gentle persuasion several of the children even sat on the motorcycles. After this great beginning the beach cleaning was a breeze and even though several participants were away we managed to clean a long stretch of the beach  As usual the “work” ended with ice cream at Kitchens ice cream stand where Leck treated all who wanted to their own choices of ice-cream.

Call for help concerning a student from a new school, 2016-02-01.

We got a call for help concerning an eleven year old boy, from a new school 15 km west of Klaeng. He has lived with his grandmother on a rubber plantation where she has worked with a salary of 100 Thai Baht per day. She has liver cancer in an advanced stage and is hospitalized in Klaeng.  Our interpreter asked us if we could go along to the hospital and see the boy and his mother. We had earlier made an appointment for later that week, but our interpreter insisted we should do it now. When we reached the hospital ward we understood why she wanted the early visit. The mother’s weight was only about 29 kg and she was just barely conscious and panting in her oxygen mask.  Family and friends were gathered since the end was imminent. Our interpreter had been able to confirm for us that the young boy was a good student and we were able to convey to the mother that his education would be covered by CCT.  We hope this information allowed her some sense of comfort. Later on that week we visited his aunt who has promised to become his guardian and caretaker.  They will be living in a small and very simple house on the rubber plantation.  Any donations of mattresses, pillows, blankets, mosquito nets and fans would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to contact us if you have any of these items to donate. After visiting with his aunt we then visited his school to meet with his teachers and the Director of the school.  His teacher helps with school transportation and since the school is 8Km from his home a bicycle will be donated by one of the friends of our interpreter.

Purchase of phone by request of Support family, 2016-02-01.

The Support Family Gerd and Rolf Starkenberg had donated to toward and requested the purchase of a mobile phone for one of the boys in their recipient family.  We picked up the eager boy at his home and proceeded to Tesco.  There we met with our interpreter to ease the communications with the seller. A very affordable telephone with a large display and all the necessary requirements was purchased.  Rolf Starkenberg had also donated a sim card which worked perfect.  Needless to say the young boy is now very happy to be able to receive messages about schoolwork.  He even declined a visit to McDonalds because he was so eager to get back home.

Environmental Project Fourth Saturday completed, 2016-01-30.

This Saturday 13 participants came but one had to leave due to illness.  12 brave ones remained.  (The reasons to the absence of several participants are the end of the school semester with its’ tests and other activities. One team was led by Katarina and Kjell, and Judith Orrevik and our interpreter. The other team was led by Raija and B-O and Mona.  Since the tide level was low we were able to focus the cleaning on the lower part of the beach. After a good work out we finished off with lunch and a monetary gift to the participants.

A visit to Judith Orreviks scholarship recipient, 2016-01-26.

Together with our interpreter we visited with the young girl who is Judith Orreviks scholarship recipient.  We brought along a support package with food and also with hygiene products.  We also wanted to meet with her grandparents. The grandfather is 78 years old and he still works every day to support his family. The grandmother is frail and has trouble with her eye sight. She will soon need an eye operation. Even though their situation is humble they are a happy and comfortable family.   The young girl is a high school student and some of her school work is conducted via email.  Eva and Roberts unused phone has been donated and now comes to good use.  She is able to pick up her emails and school homework wherever there is Wi-Fi.

A visit to RickMicks scholarship recipient, 2016-01-23.

Together with our interpreter we visited the young girl who is RickMicks scholarship recipient.  We brought along a support package with food and hygiene products.  We also wanted to meet with her mother and see her new living quarters. Earlier she had been living in a small hut on stilts above the water together with her mother and three other relatives.  She was now living with just her mother in a similar but twice the size hut and also over dry land instead of water.  Her mother is now working as a housekeeper for the owner of the hut and the living quarters are included in her wages.  The change of conditions has turned out to be positive and they seem to like their situation. Their landlords are a very nice couple.

Environmental Project third Saturday completed, 2016-01-23.

This Saturday 21 participants arrived.  All willing to work hard!  They were all dubbed to Ambassadors.  We were also joined by Mona Söderholm and Janine Ritari.  Two teams were appointed with our interpreter and Katarina and Kjell and Janine to lead the first team.  The second team was led by Mona and Raija and B-O.   The ambassadors learned quickly and a much longer part of the beach was cleaned this time. The hard work and good attitude ended with the same routine as the last time.  Work, water pause, lunch and a well deserved monetary gift.

Second hand items have been donated during December-January.

During the last few months we have received several very nice gently used items to give to where needed with our scholarship recipients.

Environmental Project continues, 2016-01-16.

All the Ambassadors/participants from last Saturday could not attend this Saturday because of school obligations.  Instead some new faces appeared and we had 17 work willing students to take on this days task.. In addition we also had the support family Katarina and Kjell Sundbäck and our Interpreter.  Once all the new comers were dubbed to ambassadors we divided in to two teams and worked diligently up and down the beach.  We followed the same routine as last time, work, water pause, lunch and the well-deserved monetary gift.

The Great Grandfather to two scholarship recipients dies after lengthy illness, 2016-01-11.

Two young boys who are both scholarship recipients have lost their great Grandfather. He was over 90 years old and suffered from being partially lame and Alzheimer’s since several years back.  They continue to live with their great Grandmother.  We are very sorry for their loss.

A Scholarship recipient enters Rayong Technical College, 2016-01-10.

We are pleased to announce that for the first time a CCT Scholarship recipient will be entering Rayong Technical College.  She is 18 years old and she will be studying Marketing for two years at this well renowned state College with many different course offerings.  After graduating she will have the opportunity to find a well paying job and then be able to help support her family which consists of her mother and a younger brother.

The Environmental project “Please keep Mae Phim clean” has begun today, 2016-01-09, 9:09 am.

Today, as we have mentioned earlier, the environmental project called “I am ambassador for Please Keep Mae Phim clean” begun.  After yesterdays “Children’s Day” celebrations some of our participants didn’t wake up in time to join us this morning.  However 12 participants were able to come and begin the work.   All were met in the main dining room at Buffalo Bill restaurant and we welcomed them together with Christer and Tomas from CK-Resor.

We began with information as to what actually constitutes litter and moved on to what should not be considered litter. Basically if something comes from nature it stays but if it does not come from nature it goes!!  All participants were then given a vest and a cap to wear.  The name of the project was printed on both items.  Then they were all dubbed as ambassadors of the project.  With gloves and a garbage bag for each person to collect the litter in the work could begin.

Even though it looks rather clean from the street there is an incredible amount of litter and debris along the beach, all kinds of plastic items, bottle caps, bits of rope, lighters and on and on.  Halfway through our work we had a well deserved water break when Roy Ödegård gave us each an ice cold water bottle. We then continued to pick and clean the beach all the way down to Princess where upon we turned and returned back to the restaurant Kitchen.  Anything that had been overlooked was found by then.  We then washed up and dined on a well deserved lunch at the restaurant.  After lunch Christer and Tomas thanked all the young participants for their effort and rewarded them with a generous monetary gift. Before the end of the first session the participants were asked whether they would consider coming the following Saturday, which they all said they would attend. The project will continue on Saturday mornings at 9:00am until the 26th of March.  All are welcome to join.

Children’s day, 2016-01-08.

Every year in the beginning of January Children’s Day is celebrated at the schools with lots of festivities.  It starts early in the morning with a monk parade.  The students and caretakers can then give gifts to the great many monks who parade in the school yards.  The day continues on with games and entertainment.  By the evening there is music, song and dancing.  During scheduled breaks scholarships are awarded and donated items are raffled.  Most students like to participate in all the festivities that go on late in to the night. Food and beverages of all kinds are offered to all visitors.  It is a very nice and friendly event for all who attend.

CK-Resor invites CCT Scholars on a picnic, 2016-01-03.

Once again CK-Resor (with Christer Kullberg) sponsored The yearly picnic for us here at CCT.  This time it was an entertainment and also a learning experience. A trip was taken to Koh Man Nai, an island off of Mae Phim.  There is a sanitarium for turtles that have become ill from eating polluting materials in the ocean.  The sanitarium was founded in 1979 by Thailand’s Queen Her Majesty Sirikrit.  Unfortunately all of our scholars could not attend this outing due to work obligations, travel and illness.  But we did have 26 scholars attend and some of our support families came along to help with all the young ones. Gun-Marie and Leif Taube, and Tomas and Louise Julin.

After a lovely boat ride on calm waters with a couple of different captains and a lunch enjoyed aboard, we arrived at the islands harbor.  After alighting the boat and a brisk walk to a conference room, the students were given a thorough lecture about the perils of ocean littering.  Then they were shown around the sanitariums various treatment area of the turtles.  Later on we took a tour around the island and got to see a large flock of flying dogs.

During the trip a donation was collected by CK-Resors travelers in the amount of 3 160 THB and The Toy Tour donated an additional 2000THB.

Home visits to scholars together with support family, 2015-12-20.

Together with the support family, Suzanne Tommy & Max Lundström we made the first visit of their family living behind the old sawmill. A package with food and hygiene articles were submitted, which were received with great joy and gratitude. Additionally Max gave a football shirt and shoes to the boy who is CCTs scholarship which was much appreciated. The boy's great interest is football and his highest dream is to become a professional soccer player. Suzanne emphasized the importance of education even if you become a professional soccer player and told me a bit about Tommy's career. Despite their difficult home environment, the boy is good at school and we hope he can continue his education so he gets a fairly good job regardless of what happens with football dreams. Even a big load of clothes for both him and his sister's baby was submitted. Currently there are bad times for the sawmill, there is only work 2-3 days per week. That makes their very low income become even smaller. Their living environment is as previously very poor, no windows, hot, dusty, smelly, that is a place where none of us want to spend any more time.

The next visit was to the boys who live with the great-grandmother and great-grandfather. The visit was a follow up of the actions we have taken to stimulate their studies. Some major advances have not yet done so continued backing and monitoring will take place. A little accident had occurred in the family when their little brother would take down a cat from the ceiling. He fell so awkwardly that he broke his arm and had it bandaged from hand to elbow.

Delivery of aid package for scholars, 2015-12-07.

The first visit was with a girl, 11 years old, who lives with the grandmother in a rented house. The girl previously had a form of narcolepsy, and have therefore started school a little later than their peers. In the fall they have moved from a house where they lived upstairs because it was a lot of snakes. They are now living temporarily in a house that is as low built so it flooded during the rainy season. In a few months, they will move to another house that is hopefully better.

The next visit was to the two siblings, a girl 17 years old & a guy 11 years old, who lives with his grandparents and sister. The children's mother has formed new family elsewhere and the father is sick and completely unable to take care of the children. The grandparents earns a living by clearing oysters, a strenuous and poorly paid work. The girl is affected with goitre and must be medicated for one year.

Delivery of aid packages with support family, 2015-12-06.

Along with supporting the family Katarina & Kjell Sundbäck we visited their fellows, two girls 11 & 16, and delivered a package containing food and hygiene items. Our interpreter was with as to make a reconciliation for the family. The young fellow has an injured foot after a snakebite. The surgery witch has been done before must be repeated, in another case she gets a serious handicap. Together with Katarina & Kjell we will try to get the mother to take the girl to a doctor for examination and further referral to a surgeon.

All scholarship students and their teacher-tutor has now been visited for reconciliation of the semester of studies and accounting, 2015-11-30.

In November we visited all the fellows in the school for the record of outcome and economy. As previous semesters, with few exceptions, the study results very well and many are excellent. Some scholars have problems with math because the study material is in English and the teacher is from Cameroon. Moreover, it is a couple of fellows who discovered the fascination with computer games and spent too little time for their studies. Affected students and teachers are aware of the problems and we are following this up in the next term's end.

In conjunction with the school visits we have also made a visit in the homes to see if there are any changes in home conditions. Three fellows have moved to other accommodation in the same area. One of the fellows' grandfather has managed to build a house for the past few years, and we congratulate. Now they have been able to move from the simple accommodation on a plantation to a new nice little house.

As previously reported, two scholars have moved from this district and has therefore been removed from the utility.

In connection with the review we have via the schools received applications for scholarships, and as previously reported, has two new children been adopted in support of the program.

CCT currently has 32 scholarship students distributed in 11 schools, 10 primary schools, 17 in secondary school, two in college and 3 of the University, which receives an individualized scholarship. With more fellows of higher education costs increase sharply so contributions from old and new donors is therefore more than welcome.

As previously administered the grants is administrated via the teachers - tutors. When the children are going to pay school fees, insurance or need uniforms, shoes, etc., and other things, books, pens, etc., they may ask the teacher - tutor for funds from the scholarship. Twice a year, the children, in addition to the scholarship, if necessary, casual clothing and footwear, as well as aid packages with food and other supplies.

It is now almost five years since we started the CCT and contacts with children and schools continue to develop very positively. We see good results and have a careful monitoring, both financially and academically. We rejoice with the children about their progress in school.

The activiy with extra help to the poorest grantees have grown very rapidly. Today it is 10 "support families" who regularly supplies them with a "support packages" that are adapted to each family's needs. Thai volunteers take care of the purchase and delivery when supporting families not can do it themselves. Besides these support families there are three additional families that provide targeted support to "their" fellows at their stay in Mae Phim.

Our hope is of course that additional donors will come so that activities can be expanded and that those who qualify for further education can receive scholarships for this. There is a great need of help and we know that CCTs utility makes a difference and is very welcome among both scholars and schools.

Delivery of aid packages with support family, 2015-11-29.

Along with the support family Gerd & Rolf Stark Mountain, we visited their scholars, two boys 12 and 14 years, living with great-grandmother and great-grandfather both over 90 years old. Great-grandfather's many years partially paralyzed and cannot move. He has also since about a year affected by Alzheimer's. The boys have a great responsibility for the daily cooking, washing etc. As always they delivered a package with food and personal care tailored to their wishes. The schoolwork has become a little worse so we have them under special supervision, and try to motivate their studies with slightly different measures because their home environment is anything but stimulating. Our volunteer, Kung, will follow up with the schools every weekend to check that there is improvement. In addition, one teacher will every weekend pick one of the boys for extra lessons. We hope that our actions will give the boys the help they need to improve their school results.

Delivery of assistance packages to scholarship, 2015-11-29.

A girl, 18, who is one of the newly admitted scholars got a package with food and hygiene items. In addition we had second-hand clothes that we received from various support people. There were suitable things to the girl and her mother and brother. There is no abundance in this family so everything was received with joy and gratitude.

Delivery of aid packages with support family, 2015-11-28.

Along with supporting family Lilian & Björn Ziesnitz we visited their scholarship, a girl 13 years, and delivered a package containing food and hygiene items. Our interpreter help us so that we could find out how the family was doing. We offered them a used refrigerator but they declined the offer because they cannot afford to pay the electric current. The mother is an incredible fighter who works 6 days a week and get only 4000 THB left after she paid for rent. She has to support five people so a package every month is very welcome.

Delivery of aid packages with support families 2015-11-22.

Along with the supporting family Ulf Lindberg, we visited his scholarship, a girl 9 years old, with a package containing food and hygiene items. Ulf had also some personal gifts to her, a moneybox with little money, a purse, etc. also some money for clothes.

Her brother has been as reported previously moved with his father to another district, and the mother has also disappeared. The girl now lives with his aunt's family consisting of husband and two boys.

Along with supporting family Ulla & Egon Bäckman we visited their scholarship, a girl of 15 years old, and delivered a package containing food and hygiene items. It is the new scholar who by an accident became disabled and who Bäckmans been to a support family. The sun shines through the rustholes of the roof and Egon is immediately started planning to fix the roof. There is no electricity in the shed so the next project will be to fix lighting with photovoltaic. Bäckmans commitment and generosity is exactly what this girl and her grandparents need to get a little more decent life.

One of our previous support families takes on a new scholarship, 2015-11-17.

It is Ulla & Egon Bäckman who was previously support family of the girl who moved to another province. Now they have taken the handicapped girl who is newly accepted scholarship "under their wings". We are very happy and grateful to Ulla & Egon that they have accepted this challenge because it required a large and immediate effort to arrange a reasonably accommodation for her. They have previously shown a great generosity and tremendous commitment and has already been running in top gear. The ceiling was fixed promptly and solar lighting is going on. The girl and her grandparents are thrilled, this is the best thing that happened in their lives.

Two more children admitted to CCT's support programs, 2015-11-16.

A girl, 18 years old, who lives with her mother and little brother in a rented "garage". The mother's cancer operated but work in all cases and earn about 6,000 per month. Rent, electricity and water costs about 2,000 a month so the family are very poor. Her parents are divorced and the father has no contact with the children. She is very good at school, she has high grades in almost all subjects. Because of mother's illness she is worried about the future and want to study for a profession in the future so that she can take care of his mother and brother. CCT gives scholarship to ensure her continued schooling.

A girl, 15 years old, who lives with her grandfather, 69, and grandmother, 72, in a shed with a leaky roof and no electricity. The mother has an alcohol problem and is lost, dad is dead. Grandfather is blind for some years and the grandmother is partially paralyzed and unable to move. The girl fell from a tree when she was 2 years old, and injured his back. Because of this she has a hard physically disability and have not been able to start school until 3 years ago. Grandfather & Grandmother has a total of a pension of 1600 THB/month so the family is very poor. She is very good at school and has the highest ratings in nearly all subjects. Her ambition is to study for a profession that can fit her handicap so that she in the future can take care of her grandparents. CCT gives scholarship to ensure her continued schooling.

Now you can use SWISH for gifts to the CCT, 2015-10-12.

To facilitate the payment of gifts to the CCT has SWISH been activated with number 123 553 4607, we welcome your contributions.

A grantee moves to another district, 2015-08-15.

It's a boy, 7 years old, who has lived with her mother and father as well as an older sister in a shed on a commons. The family was reunited in the spring after the grandfather who lived with the children suddenly disappeared. The father began to build a small house for the family including using materials from one of our volunteers. Unfortunately, the reunion did not last as long. After a brawl in the family the father took the boy and moved to another district which makes him dismissed from the aid program. The mother has also disappeared but left the girl with an aunt who lives in the same area.  Ulf Lindberg is the support family and he gives a package every month so that the aunt can be able to take care of her.

Now, the last of this year's applicants to the university has received clears of its application, 2015-08-03

It is a girl who will train to be a nurse. It is a very popular training and the education sites are difficult to be sufficient for all applicants. Now it became a renowned universities Bangkok was the closest option. Otherwise, now is all the fellows busy with their studies this semester. One girl from elementary school has been moved to a family in a province in northeastern Thailand and has because of that been removed from the scheme. The "gap" will quickly be filled because we have requests from several children on scholarship. When the budget for the coming term is revised decide we decide if there is money to one or more new scholars.

Govt set to match education reform with students’ needs.

BANGKOK, 13 June 2015 (NNT) – Prime Minister Prayut Cha-ocha has unveiled a number of educational plans which he claims would serve the needs of students and society.

During his weekly TV talk program, PM Prayut spoke about the 2015-2020 education reform strategies which cover three major areas namely teaching, vocational skill development and education management. According to Gen Prayut, the most urgent mission for the government is to raise the literacy rate in primary schools. The government is urging schools to revive the spelling system in the teaching of grade 1 pupils. The campaign will continue until Mar 2016 after which time its achievement will be assessed. Regarding the vocational skill development, new courses will be introduced at educational opportunity expansion schools and those in the five special economic zones to boost vocational skills of learners. English teaching at basic education level will be adjusted to serve the needs of students and society. At the same time, distance learning will be upgraded to boost the quality of learners. As for personnel development, the government will launch more training for school directors, educators and educational supervisors to enhance their abilities.

A scholar moves to another province, 2015-05-25.

It's a girl, 11 years old, who lived with his grandmother in a small shed. Now, after many years, her parents have been reunited and taken care of the girl. They live in another province, and she has been dismissed from the aid program. We have got a report that she feels fine there, and go to school. We wish her good luck and hope that the family reunification remains.

Reports from our Thai volunteers.

CCT has now, in addition to Kung, our interpreter and volunteer, two Thai girls who entirely voluntary take care of "Stay Away Service" with the purchase and delivery for the support families who are not in place. Reports regularly come to us and after verification they are passed to respective support family. After we went away from Thailand two scholars have to change school. Kung has arranged that the scholarship move to the new school. There is a girl from high school who changed to a better school and her little sister has moved to a primary school that is closer to home. We're still waiting to hear from the last fellow who applied to universities. There is a nursing education that is current but there are not many training places and even though our scholarship has top marks the application queue is long. The university education does not begin until August so there is still hope for a place for her next term.

All children and their teacher-tutor has now been visited for reconciliation of outcomes and accounting, 2015-04-02.

During most of March and ended on April 2, we have visited all the scholars in for reconciliation of outcomes and economy. As previous semesters the results are very good and many are excellent. Several of the schools have also embraced our EXCEL form of accounting, which simplifies the reconciliation of scholarships. In connection with the school visits we also have visited the homes to see if there are any changes in home conditions. Two scholars have moved to other accommodation in the same area. They are day laborers and live in the employer's house, and when the work runs out or they change jobs, they must move.

For the upcoming semester, the four scholars will start in Secondary School and one scholar in Asean College and one scholar in the University. Furthermore another scholar wait for clearance, coming in May, about university studies. These changes make CCTs budget increases drastically for upcoming semesters. Contributions from old and new donors are more than welcome.

There have been five new scholars during the semester. It is the three brothers who briefly lost his mother and father and his house, and there are two siblings, a girl and a boy, who lives in very poor circumstances in something that is not even a shed.

One of the very first scholar has after the compulsory years finished school. He has been employed as an apprentice in an electricity company and plan to continue their education after internship.

CCT has 32 fellows in 11 schools today, from primary and secondary schools to colleges and universities, that receive an individualized scholarship.

As previously the scholarships are administered via the teachers - tutors. When the kids need uniforms, shoes, etc., or other things, books, pens, etc., they may ask the teacher - tutor for funds from the scholarship. Twice a year, the children if necessary leisure clothing, shoes and aid packages with food and other necessities.

It is now four years since we started the CCT and contacts with children and schools continue to develop very positively. We see good results and have a close follow-up, both financially and academically. We rejoice with the children about their progress in school.

The activity with extra help to the poorest grantees have grown very rapidly. Today is 9 "support families" regularly supplies them with a "support package" that are adapted to each family's needs. Thai volunteers take care of the purchase and delivery when support families are unable to do it themselves. Besides these support families, three families give support to "their" scholars during their stay in Mae Phim

We hope of course of that additional contributor to come so that activities can be expanded and that those who qualify for further education can receive scholarships for this. There is a great need of help and we know that CCTs utility makes a difference and is very welcome both among scholars and schools.

Delivery of aid packages and vintage gadgets, 2015-03-31.

Some of Jenny & Lasses delivery quickly became sorted and delivered to a girl and boy who lives with his grandparents. Grandma is sick so grandpa alone have to support the family so they also got a much needed aid package with supplies. Additional clothing is sorted to another family and delivered by one of our volunteers at the next visit with the aid package.

Additional donation of secondhand gadgets, 2015-03-29.

When the family Sofia Cervin & Joakim Lindgren after 3 months in the lovely Mae Phim would go home, there was a lot of secondhand gadgets to CCT. A fully equipped children's travel cot, baby walker, baby bath, clothes etc. The bed we will rent out in favor of CCT in the next seasons. The remaining items will be distributed to families and hospital. Many thanks for all things, everything comes in handy.

Donation of secondhand clothes, toys etc., 2015-03-27.

When Jenny Masterson & Lasse Karlsson Munk came to Mae Phim they had a large amount of secondhand stuff. There was a bag of 34 kg clothes and several backpacks with shoes and toys. The idea for this came from Jenny's mother who recently participated in CK Resor outing together with our fellows. Many thanks to you who participated and donated items for this delivery. We sort and give to the needy among our grant holder’s families. That which does not fit we give to a hospital that provides for their poor patients.

CCTs past grantee receives its first package, 2015-03-26.

Ulf Lindberg is support person of the girl and a boy that now has received its first package of food and hygiene items. Also, we had a lot of second-hand clothes and a football. The boy is very interested in football and got earlier a pair of football boots. A very much needed effort by Ulf that will help the family out of their misery.

Another scholarship to the University of Education, 2015-03-25.

It is the oldest of the three brothers who became homeless after their parents suddenly died. He is now admitted to studies at Burapha University, Faculty Public Healt, Department Community Healt. The Education takes 4 years and he will stay on campus during term time. The cost of the studies in this University is very high so we are appealing for additional contributions to this scholarship.

One of CCTs previous donors donate to a girl's school expenses, 2015-03-24.

It’s Judith Orrevik who cares about a girl who has been abandoned by their parents. She lives with grandfather and grandmother in a garage. Grandmother is very ill with cancer in many places and grandfather 80 years struggling alone to support the family. Judith has for several years helped this girl with the aid package but has now additionally decided to take care of her school costs.

Another scholarship to ASEAN College, 2015-03-24.

CCTs second scholarship who is going to begin training in ASEAN College has now been accepted. There is a girl who lives with her father in a simple house leased by a landowner. Her mother died of cancer several years ago. The education will give an opportunity to lift themselves out of poverty and create a decent life in the future.

An additional support family has joined the program, 2015-03-22.

It’s the rare and very talented girl who lives in a small shed on stilts in the water as Michael Savander Unge & Richard Unge decided to support. First, as a lump sum and then monthly contribution to her school expenses. In addition to this, they also provide support package with food and other supplies during the time they stay in Mae Phim. A very much needed effort by a couple with a warm heart and great thoughtfulness.

Another supporter has joined the program, 2015-03-11.

CCTs past fellows quickly gained a support person when Ulf Lindberg, as soon as he got the information about the family, offered to sponsor them with a customized support package each month and  partly to school costs. This is probably the neediest family we have just now so this sponsorship was very much appreciated.

Delivery of secondhand bed, mattress and clothes, 2015-03-08.

Our new volontärs first assignment was to join us in delivering a little secondhand stuff.

First, a very nice double bed as Eva & Robert Eklund changed in their guest room. It was delivered to the girls who live in an almost unfurnished garage. After that came a mattress and a few bags secondhand clothing at below-publicized family.

Two more children admitted to the CCT's support programs, 2015-03-02.

There are two siblings, a boy 7 years & a girl nine years old, who lives with his mother and the boy's father in what can only be described as a "rat's nest". The children have different fathers, the girl was abandoned by his father, which is very common, when she was only 4 month. After that the mother has been gone for long periods and then grandfather has taken care of the girl. When she then got the boy with the current husband, it has been equally uncertain with child supervision. Grandpa has been the fixed point until recently, when he suddenly disappeared and no one knows where he is. An aunt to the children then called together the parents that they would take care of the children. The parents are now trying to create a home for the family by building a small "house", next door to the aunt, so they do not have to stay in the "rat's nest". Kids can do, unfortunately not choose their parents so we hope that our support encourages parents so that it can create a safe and good family for the children. To ensure children's schooling CCT has granted scholarships to them which cover all costs affiliated with the school. But for lifting the family of the misery the presently live in is an additional customized monthly support consisting of food, toiletries, etc. needed.

CCT has a new volunteer, 2015-02-22.

In connection with singalong preparations we met a Thai who was very interested in CCTs program. We have met on a few occasions and talked about CCTs activities and that we need an interpreter and assistance with transportation. She is a very helpful and caring girl who offered to help us by becoming a volunteer. It's just in time it pops up a helper because second-hand transport and support package deliveries increases a lot.

Three more children were admitted to the CCT's support programs, 2015-02-20.

There are the three brothers we previously told you about that in a short time lost their parents, their home, an aunt and now lives with a sick uncle and his wife. The oldest brother has qualified for university studies in "Public Healt" and the younger brothers go in Secondary School. The guys are working on weekends to help with the household expenses as it’s difficult for the uncle to manage this. The future of these guys, after all this tragedy is very gloomy so CCT has decided to provide scholarships to cover their school expenses. Education is their "key" to the future and we hope it will be much brighter than today. In addition to scholarships the family has a great need for additional support, food, clothing, toiletries, etc. We are looking for one or more "support families" that can give them a customized support package every month. Do you have the opportunity to help these guys so please contact us?

An additional support family has joined the program, 2015-02-18.

It is family Suzanne, Tommy and Max Lundström, who has decided to support the family behind the old sawmill. Today only the youngest boy is left in the support program since his brother, at age 13, forced to start working and his sister ran away from home with her boyfriend. We tried for a long time to convince the mother of the family how important it is for kids to get a good education but we managed unfortunately not. The youngest boy is very good at school and we try in every way that he will be allowed to continue his schooling and not become a serf worker in the mill as his brother.

Sing along at JoJo's Restaurant, 2015-02-06.

Fundraising can be done in many different ways, and one of the nicest must surely be a sing-along evening. We believe so after this first arrangement that exceeded expectations with large attendance of nice guests. Despite some problems with serving it was a very enjoyable and rewarding evening. Participation fees, sales and auction gave a much-needed addition to the CCT's operations.

After such a charity event, there are many people to thank. Thanks to all guests for coming and for all contributions, entrances, shopping and money in the box. Thanks to those who made this sing, the happy music gang RGB, Robert, Guy & Björn, who did a fantastic performance with singing and music. Thanks to teachers and students from the schools of Wat Chak Makrut & Sunthonpu Pittaya for your amazing dance shows. Thanks to Margaret for cushion covers, Ulla & Egon for TV and Kung for ornaments. Finally, thanks also to the “Mora gang" who made an acclaimed spontaneous performance with music and stories.

We have several new suggestions and ideas on where, when, how we could make a similar arrangement during the next season. CCTs have several talented fellows who will go on to higher education in the coming years as new fundraising project is a must to manage this. We welcome suggestions and assistance in implementing such projects.

One additional support family introduced, 2015-02-04.

Lilian and Björn Ziesnitz of Seabreeze has decided to support a girl, 13 years in April, who lives with mother, sister and sister's children in a house on the employer's fruit plantation. Her father died of a stroke when mom was pregnant with the girl. Lilian & Björn now provides a customized support package with supplies every month and also contributes to the girl's school expenses. The family lives very poor so this will give them a much needed contribution.

Support family concentrates and increase there’s support to one family, 2015-01-28.

This applies girl who lost her father in an accident and became orphan. She now lives with her grandmother and grandfather. Previously, Ingrid & Rutger Persson gave some support to this family but has now become a 'full' support family for them. This began with a visit and the first aid package with supplies handed over. This family is very happy and humorous so our visit was marked indeed with joy and gratitude.

Delivery of the support package 2015-01-25.

As a stand-in for a support family, who was not at present for the moment, we delivered a tailored package of support to the family that make their living on opening oysters. Grandfather received with gratitude the supplies purchased.

Delivery of second hand furniture, 2015-01-18.

When Inger & Anders Svensson at Seabreeze changed sofas and mirror table they called us and wondered if there was anyone who needed them. It was an undeniably yes from us, because among our fellows there is room for the most part. Our good friends and helpers, Katarina & Kjell Sundbäck, and our neighbor Walter Dannevig undertook the task of transporting these furniture to two different families. One sofa and one mirror table was delivered to a girl who lives on a fruit farm and the other couch and mirror table was delivered to two sisters who live in a "garage". The recipients were overjoyed, because none of them had a single piece of furniture before, and sends a big thank you to Inger & Anders.

Visit behind the old sawmill with gifts from Swedish family on a visit to Mae Phim, 2015-01-11.

It is the family that previously had three siblings in the CTT, but the elder son was forced to leave school by his mother and the daughter eloped with a boyfriend. Nowadays it is the youngest son now 13, who is very good at school, we try to keep in school. In connection with a home party we got in contact with the family Suzanne, Tommy and Max Lundström, who expressed that they wanted to be involved and help out. The son Max was very enthusiastic and when we assigned a family they could support he immediately a thorough fact-finding about them. It turned out that Max was almost the same age as the other boy Max showed great generosity and gathered together all the things he could spare as clothes, shoes, football and many other useful and fun gadgets. There were two big package sent as a belated birthday present. In addition to this, had Suzanne and Tommy gathered both towels, bed linen, clothes, etc. in an IKEA bag and some bags. Besides this we also got a mattress to be delivered to another needy family. It was an incredibly happy family that sends a big thank you to the Lundström family.

CK travel offers CCTs fellows on the outing, 2015-01-04.

Also this season sponsors CK Travel an outing for the fellows. For various reasons, not everyone could come but 29 excited students joined the trip. This time they first visited the garden Supatra Land where they were treated to a roundtrip among the cultures where they could eat fruit as much as they could eat. After that it became a visit to Laemtong and the first stop there was Swensen's ice cream parlor. The waitresses had a stressful time when all would order their favourite ice cream. After the ice cream time came to move to the top floor to visit the gaming section. Luckily, a couple of CCTs supporters, Gun-Marie & Leif Taube, followed by as helpers. On the gaming section they all got a bag with “gambling money” from CCT and Taubs filled up the “bag” with a generous contributions too. Then there was the game of "all the way" and it became almost hard to collect all of the students to the bus. The last place on the program that was Tanmanpar "Classic Forrest". On Tanmanpar they were treated to a tasty dinner with dessert and one of the fellows borrowed orchestra mic and sang a beautiful Thai song. During dinner, a collection was made in favor of CCT among CKs travelers, which raised 7 011 THB and 100 SEK.  A much appreciated visits with feeding fish and swans, and a tour in an exciting environment. Following this were a tired but contented crowd of young people to go home. A big thanks to CK Travel for a fantastic event and thanks also to the tour participants for the funds raised.

Visit the beach with the disabled girl's family, 2014-12-30.

The Norwegian family supporting the disabled girl, sister to one of CCTs fellows, took grandmother and siblings to a bath-day on the beach of Laem Mae Phim. The disabled girl had never seen the ocean before, so it was a great experience for her. Sunshine, a little taste of salt from the sea and a tasty lunch, we were treated to. Now, several weeks later, she often speaks about the excursion.

Home visits with New Year Gifts & "Support package", sometimes together with donors and support families, 2014-12-15 - 2015-01-28.

In late December and early January, we visited the children in their homes, sometimes accompanied by some contributors, to submit New Year's gifts and support package of groceries, toiletries, etc. all tailored to each family's needs.

The first contributor to join us was Maija & Micke Sjöberg that visited three fellows. The first, a girl, who lives with her Grandma & Grandpa that make their living on opening oysters. It was only a short stop to give an old phone that Dagni donated. The phone is needed for us to get in touch for purchase planning of future aid package.
Next stop was to two siblings who lives with their grandparents and a younger sister, age 5, and 6 other people in a simple house several miles outside Kram. A support package with food and hygiene items were submitted by Maija & Micke. For the first time we met the children's father who is mental ill. It was a very powerful experience to see an apathetic relatively young man who seems completely gone in a "different world".
The last visit of the day was to a girl who lives with her grandmother in a fishing hut that stands on stilts in the water. Great-grandmother had become ill and was hospitalized so the atmosphere was not quite on top. A little joy was in all cases the aid package Maija & Micke purchased.

The next visits were without any contributor. First stop was to a girl who lives with her two sisters, her father and mother in a rented house. Since our last visit they had moved to a nearby similar accommodation. A customized support packages from CCT was transmitted and received with joy. The second visit was to another girl who previously lived in a house on the mother's employer rubber plantation. Although they have moved and now to a much better accommodation belonging mom's new employer, a durian growers. The house was fine but empty of furniture. Only a mattress in the corner. The aid package from the CCT got to give a little joy in the parched environment.

Then it was time to be “stand in” and deliver aid package in place of the support families who at the time was in Sweden.
The first visit went to the girl and her grandmother that Ulla & Egon Bäckman is supporting. We were received by a crying and very sad family. It turned out that the owner of the land where they have their shacks set-up told that they have to move. A not very easy project considering the difficulty of finding a new location and the family resources. Their concern was dampened somewhat by the support package we handed and we promised to keep track of developments. It has become apparent that the move is probably not so acute, so we'll see how it dissolves.
The next visit was to the family that has an anonymous support family. Here the donated phone helped so that the family could get a customized support package.
Last visit this time was to the family with two girls Katarina & Kjell Sundbäck supports. We also delivered a tailored package of support to them. As companions we had a good friend who is a doctor, Birgitta Glenmark, who looked at the younger girl's feet (she has been bitten by a snake) and noted that action urgently needs to be done to correct the tendons.
The same day we also visited, together with Birgitta, two sisters to submit a support package from Birgitta and CCT. They live in a “garage” and still it was almost completely unfurnished. It was basically just the mattresses we organized last year.

For this and other families who are without furnishing so we try to get second hand furniture from factions who replaces his. If you have or know about any furniture so please contact us.

Then it was time for two other contributors, Rosmarie Ekelund & her friend Rosmarie, to accompany us to two families. The first visit was to the brothers, 10 and 12 years old who lives with Great Grandparents both 89 years. Great-grandfather had been senile since our visit last month. The brothers are now taking an even greater responsibility to help in the household with cooking, laundry, etc. Rosmarie & Rosmarie had purchased a well-stocked aid package which was received with great joy by the great-grandmother. We still do not know how it could work out for the boys when the old ones become more ill or die. Besides this extra visit, their support family, Gerd & Rolf Starkenberg gives regular help with food and other necessities.
The next visit was to the girl who lost her father in an accident and became orphan. She now lives with her grandmother and grandfather. We were late to visit this family so they had wondered if we forgotten them. The joy was therefore much higher when Rosmarie & Rosmarie handed over the purchased supplies.

We have during this time also visited all the other families who do not have a support family that makes visits and delivers supplies.

Welcome to "Home party". A professional interior designer arranges "Home party’s" in favor of CCT.

Thanks to a very generous offer from Margaret Westling, living in Sunflower Residence, you can support our work whilst enjoying something nicely in return. Margaret will host "Home party’s ", starting in January, for the benefit of CCTs help program. Margaret, who is a professional interior designer, has sewn up its own collection cases, additionally has Designers Guild and Mairo donated fabrics and a number of cases and toiletry bags that all are offered to attractive price. Take the opportunity to do a good deed whilst enjoying something nicely in return. All revenues will be donated in full to CCT, we are very grateful for that. There is a great need for help so every Baht comes in handy. Click this link for Margaret's invitation to "Home party" and information about her and the pillow case she sews.

Two additional support families have joined the support program, 2014-12-03.

The first support family is Katarina and Kjell Sundbäck who has decided to support the sisters, now 10 & 14, who lives with his parents and their younger sister, 3 years old. It is a very much needed support because they are very poor. Dad and mom are living as day laborers, unfortunately, they don´t have work all day so the income is not always sufficient for grocery shopping. The family will receive a "support package" of groceries and other supplies every month. Sundbäcks is already engaged in the CCT as monthly donors and helpers to.

The second support the family is Gerd Stöckel and Åke Svensson, which provides support to the girl who lives with her little sister, 3 years, with his grandfather in a very simple house on the employer's camp. Gerd and Åke has previously provided assistance at various times to the family but now want it to be a regular support. The family may therefore get a "support package" of groceries and other supplies every month.

Thai volunteers take care of the purchase and delivery when support families are unable to do it themselves.

Thai families are very grateful and pleased with the thoughtfulness and generosity that support families show them. Although support families experiencing a great joy and satisfaction to be able to make a difference for these poor families.

We at CCT are experiencing the same happiness and hope that there are more factions that want to make a contribution. All CCT's fellows has a very poor living, but there are a number which has an extremely poor existence where those support families are needed.

Two additional support families have joined the program, 2014-11-27.

The first support family, who wishes to remain anonymous, has decided to support the scholarship staying with Grandma and Grandpa feeding on clearing the oysters. It is much needed support because they are very poor and as many of our families they live in a "shed". The family gets some collected things and then a "support package" of groceries and other supplies every month.

The second support family is Ulla and Egon Bäckman, who has decided to support the girl who lives with her grandmother in a shed next to some relatives. They also live very simple and mostly lacking in the home. Bäckmans gives them some much needed items for the home and so they get a "support package" of groceries and other supplies every month.

All children and their teacher-tutor has now been visited for the reconciliation of academic outcomes and accounting, 2014-11-13.

Most of the children have previously good academic performance, often with positive changes, but unfortunately there is an exception this semester. It's the girl that was the last new fellow last term. She had a GPA of 3.23, which had now gone down to 1.73 because of absence. It emerged that the absence was caused by laziness and interests other than school. Since CCTs conditions for the scholarships is to maintain and ideally increase their grade point she didn´t qualify for a new scholarship. The teachers are very active in encouraging and supporting their students so that they get a good score but it manages apparently not all times. A student in Pre School also, for the time being, removed from the utility due fled from our area.

During the last semester, we have received new scholarship applications from three brothers who go to the same school. They have experienced much tragedy in the past year. First death of their father and earlier this year died their mother. Because of these tragic events they got economic problems and got rid of the dwelling. An aunt offered them housing but the tragedy went on when she died in the fall. They now live with a sickly uncle and the two oldest brothers have to work all weekend to try to make their living. All this has a negative impact on their studies. We investigate what options we have to secure their schooling and get a support family.

Today we have fellows that receive an individualized scholarship in twelve schools, primary and secondary, colleges and universities.

The scholarships is administrating through the teachers - tutors. When the kids need uniforms, shoes, etc., or other things, books, pens, etc., they may ask the teacher - tutor for funds from the scholarship. Twice a year, the children if necessary get leisure clothing, shoes and a support package with food and sanitary articles.

It is now almost four years since we started CCT. Contacts with children and schools continue to develop very positively. We see good results and have a close follow-up, both financially and academically. We rejoice with the children about their progress in school.

Operations with extra help to the poorest grantees have grown very rapidly. Today it's nine "support families" who regularly supplies them with a "support package" that are adapted to each family's needs.

Our hope is of course that we get more donors so that the help program can be expanded as there is an infinite need of help. Scholarship’s and support families’ makes a great difference and is very welcome.

Mother returned the younger brother, 2014-09-11.

The boy who was picked up by his mother in the spring is now back with his grand grandmother and grand grandfather. We had a feeling that mother shouldn’t manage to take care so we're glad he's back. Besides, even a disabled younger brother come to the oldies. Boys will probably remain there for a few years because the mother also ended up in trouble with the law and is in prison.

The support family to disabled girl installing patient lifts, 2014-08-12.

The disabled girl who lives with grandmother and one of our fellows got a patient lift installed. Everyone in the family is overjoyed, now avoid the heavy lifting. She can now use their other facilities that require lifting in a simpler way.

Mother picked up the younger brother, 2014-05-15.

In the family with the brothers mentioned in the paragraph below, the younger brother been moved to a province located 40 mil north by the mother. She already has two young children to care for and very low wages. We will, through our interpreter, try to follow up how it goes. After the change, we now have 29 children who receive an individualized scholarship.

All children and their teacher has now been visited for reconciliation of home conditions, outcomes and accounting, 2014-04-04.

All children show good academic performance, often with positive changes. The teachers are very active in encouraging and supporting their students so that they get a good grade. Thai schools provide ratings first term of first grade. All ratings are public.

The children's home environment is largely unchanged from last fall. Our concern has for some time been for the two brothers who live with their great-grandmother, 89 years, and great-grandfather, also 89 years and additionally partially paralyzed. Now their mother who lives in a province 40 mil north promised to take care of them from May 15, when the next semester starts. This does not make our concern less for the boys because the mother has only 250 THB a day in wages and also has one younger children staying with her. We and the elders think it will be a problem and that the boys will be back soon, if the mother at all will come and collect them.

About the family that lives behind the old sawmill, there have been some changes. The girl who is now 17 years old and had two years left in secondary school, has escaped to another province along with her boyfriend. Given the environment they live in, we can understand her. Her brother 13 years old has been forced to quit school and started working at the saw mill because the mother is ill. It´s a very poor alternative for him to finish his education, his prospects for the future are not so good. We have done everything we can to convince the family that the children must complete their education, but unfortunately we did not succeed with this. The youngest boy, who has very good grades, continues his schooling.

During the last semester, we have received scholarship applications from three new schools apart from those we previously had contact with. Today we have scholarships for pupils in eleven schools, it is first and secondary school, colleges and universities. Of the applications received seven new children are admitted to our support programs, information under the news tab. With these changes, we now have 27 children who receive an individualized scholarship.

As previously scholarships are administered through the teachers - tutors. When the kids need uniforms, shoes, etc., or other things, books, pens, etc., they may ask the teacher - tutor for funds from the scholarship. Twice a year, the children if necessary get leisure clothing, shoes and some dry food, soymilk, eggs, fruit etc.

It is now three years since we started our business and contacts with children and schools continue to develop very positively. We see good results and have a careful follow-up, both economically and educationally. We rejoice with the children about their progress in school. Our hope is of course that we get more donors so that the business can be expanded since there are an infinite need of help. Our contribution makes a difference and is very welcome.

Her father is in prison for a long time and has several years left. Mom has moved to another province and have contact once or twice a month with the girl. The family consists of seven people and live in very poor conditions. The girl is very good at school, she has the highest ratings in nearly all subjects and is number one in the national examinations. CCT provides a stipend to ensure her continued schooling.

Three more children were admitted to the CCT's support programs, 2014-03-19.

A girl, 12 years in 2014, lives with mother in a house on the employer’s rubber plantation. The mother has no minimum wage, gets only THB 200 per day on days she can get work on the plantation. Two additional support families have joined the program, 2014- 03-12.

The first couple to support a special family is Ingrid and Rutger Persson, who have now decided to support two families they met last year in connection with giving additional gifts to them. The first family is the grantee staying with grandma with her disabled little sister who each month will receive a contribution to rental because they had to move to a more expensive home. The second family is the girl who lives with grandmother and grandfather after her father died in a workplace accident. They get a "support package" of groceries each month. Both families get their support delivered by our interpreter when Ingrid and Rutger are in Sweden.

The second couple to support a family is Hillevi and Timo Hyvönen providing support to the girl who lives with her grandmother and grandfather on a fruit plantation. The family will receive a "support package" of groceries twice a month. A Thai volunteer manages purchasing and delivery when Hillevi and Timo are in Finland.

All Thai families are very grateful and excited about the kindness and generosity shown by these people. We at CCT can only agree and hope that more people sign up to support a needy family. All CCT grantees live very poor but some of them have an extremely poor existence, so we will need more support families.

CK travels sponsors a river trip to CCTs fellows, 2014-03-09.

CCT's new sponsor, CK Travel, showing his concern for Thailand's poor children by inviting CCT's fellows on the river excursion with dinner and look at the fireflies. The trip started with ice cream and games in anticipation of CK Travel guests. When the guests arrived, it became boarding and it was served a delicious dinner with dessert. After dinner, guests were entertained by children with Thai dancing and singing. It became a very popular excursion among both scholars and CK Travel guests. A collection among the guests for the benefit of CCT raised 5 250 THB, thanks for that.

The third “support family” were introduced, 2014-02-17.

The girl with the disabled sister living with grandma has got a support family. It is a Norwegian family of Seabreeze which will, in various forms, provide support for them. The Norwegian family has extensive knowledge and experience of the disabled, special attention will therefore be given to the disabled girl. She has already received some facilities including a wheelchair, a potty chair, a small table flooring, paper, crayons, pens etc. Previously, she was the more or less unresponsive but after a short time she made great progress. Today she is part of being together and she shows a great creativity through drawing and painting. More tools to facilitate the management of the sister is planned and will come later. Even aid packages with food, diapers, etc. will be included. It is difficult to describe in text the importance of this effort but it's big, very big. Both we and the Thai family are overjoyed and completely taken by this thoughtfulness and generosity that the Norwegian family shown.

CCT organizes “Support families” to children’s families.

In connection with "Home parties", some families expressed their interest to support our poor children's families in different ways. The offered assistance covers for example food and clothing depending on what the supported family needs. We are extremely grateful for the thoughtfulness and generosity. All support given is very much needed and will make a big difference for these poor families.

We have, 2014-01-31, started introducing the first support the family, Gerd and Rolf Starkenberg, for the family of the two brothers who live with their great-grandmother and great-grandfather, both 89 years. Groceries were handed over as a first support which was received with great joy and thankfulness. We discussed what they were primarily in need of and it was basic food such as rice, eggs, etc.

Just a few days later, 2014-02-03, we introduced the next support family, Agneta and Sven-Erik Ferdinandsson, for the girl who lives with her two brothers, her aunt and her husband in a very simple house on stilts a bit out of the water. Food was handed over as a first support and their wishes were the same as in the first family, to get help with basic food.

Both support families have promised to regularly provide each family with a "Support package" when they are here. During their stay in Sweden a few helpful Thais take over.

Thai families are very grateful and excited about the kindness shown by these generous and caring foreigners.

Home visits- checking and extra gifts.

After having visited all the schools we have visited the homes of the children, sometimes in company with some of our donors who have brought some gifts foods, fruit, clothes, shoes and similar things.

Mr and Mrs Taube, Leif and Gunmarie accompanied us to the homes of five of the students. We first visited two brothers 12 and 10 years of age living with their grandparents both 88 years old. Since their grandpa has a partial paralysis the brothers have a lot a great deal of responsibilities in the household. After that we visited three siblings 16, 13 and 10 years old, who live by an sawmill. The gifts brought by Gunmarie and Leif were highly appreciated.

Mr and Mrs Sundbäck, Kjell and Katarina accompanied us to a 9 year old student who lives with his grandparents and two sibling, four cousins and great grandma. We also visited a girl living at a plantation with her grandparents, another for us new student 16 years old girl, who lives with her mother and sister. We have also contributed with some new clothes to these youngsters and had a lunch together.

Visits have been made at all children and teachers – mentors. Checks of study results as well as economic accountance have been made for all children November 17th, 2013.

It is a great pleasure for us to be able to let you know that study results are continuosly improving. Some of the children have had some difficulties after transfer to secondary school. We have suggested special support for these children by their teachers. Some of the teachers even spend time with these children after school hours supporting them in their school work.

Home situations for these children are more or less the same since earlier. Two of the children have moved. Of course we have some worries for the boys living with their very elderly grandparents.

We have also received some new applications after our school visits. Three children two girls and a boy have been enlisted in CCT support program. There are now alltogheter 23 youngsters in our program, receiving individually tailored scholarships.

Scholarships are managed by the teachers – tutors – mentors of the children. Teacher decide when books, pencils, school uniforms need to be purchased. Once a year clothes for time spent outside school are bought and also some other utensils and foods.

Three years ago we started this program. Contacts with the children and their schools are developing in a very good way. The children have made great progress in their studies. We monitor study results as we monitor the economic funding of each child. We as well as the youngsters are all very happy about their study results. Our hope is of course that new contributors to the program will join and thus enable us to expand this very successful form of helping children who need some extra support in order to be able to perform in accordance with their exceptional abilities. Need is abundant and our contribution does make a difference and has been greatly welcome.

Quality Voyage arranged Kratong making supporting CCT, Nov 16th 2013.

At the Loy Kratong celebration Nuch and Takky from QV held a workshop in making Kratongs to raise money for CCT. Residents of Seabreeze and Blue Mango were invited. We also want to thank Lydia for her contribution as well as all those who participated in our workshop.

New volunteers in Child Care.

We are very happy to be able to introduce Katarina and Kjell Sundbäck who live in Sea View as new volunteers into CCT. They are eager to help us in our work with youngsters getting a good education. Their enthusiasm for CCT started long ago as they became regular donors, contributing every month to CCT scholarships. They will spend more time in Mae Phim in the future and will thus be able to participate more actively in CCT work. We look forward to cooperate and work together with them for CCT years to come.

A study of CCT activities has been published May 31st, 2013

During the summer of 2012 Ms Mikaela Sohlberg did participated in our work in order to publish a paper on CCT activities, which she did after having participated in the work for five intensive days, visiting children and schools. She got a good sample of the circumstances of the students and of our way of working with CCT scholarship activities. This eventually resulted in her thesis which is published at this link, Another side of Thailand. (Apologize, the study is not translated to English).

Field trip to the Ban Phe Aquarium.

We made a field trip together with the children being supported by CCT activities to the Ban Phe aquarium. This was the first visit ever, by these children to this spectacular site in their very close vicinity. They were all able to get a close look at the inhabitants and their neighbors in the deep seas of the Gulf of Siam. The trip was highly very appreciated and we too were very pleased, especially since we got to know the children a bit more.

All children and their teachers have been visited by the CCT in order to assess study achievements and financial accounting.

We are pleased that study results continue to improve. Teachers are pleased and contribute by close support and supervision. It is now two years, since we started the CCT and our relations with children, their families, teachers and schools have developed very satisfactory. We rejoice together with the children in their good study performance. Our hope is that we for the next coming years will have still more donors. The needs seem to be endless. CCT support activities have been highly appreciated and make a different for the children on the program.

Two more children have been accepted for CCT support activities, March 26th, 2013.

An 11 years old that has been abandoned by their mother, who moved to Vietnam. The girl has not had contact with her since. She has a sporadic contact with her father who does not take any economic responsibility for his daughter. She lives with her grandparents, grandpa 78 years old in a garage. Her grandpa works as a construction worker now and then. Her grandmother has daily care of two small children as her job. In order to help her grandparents in the household she gets up at 4 o’clock every morning, makes breakfast and makes her home work. She is performing very well in school. She wants to study to become an air hostess.

A 13 years old girl lives with her grandparents in a small house at a fruit plantation. Her grandparents earn 6000 Baht a month from work on the plantation. The girl was abandoned by her parents more than ten years ago. She has no contact with her mother, and sporadic contact with her father who does not take any responsibility. She performs excellently at school and she has received several diploma. CCT contributes with a scholarship in order for her to be able to start secondary school.

CCT supports students in secondary school.

Since many of the children being supported by the CCT need more help with English and particularly pronunciation, we have decided to provide every child with a Thai-English dictionary and an instruction CD. We plan to assess achievements later on in order to evaluate this initiative.

Home visits and New Years gifts for the families.

Starting the New Year we did a number of visits at homes of children whose education is being sponsored by CCT. Gifts were everything from food, a television set, a bicycle. Gifts were very much appreciated by these families whose economic situation makes it difficult to buy anything but what is need for daily life.

New Year's Party at Lom Talay with fund raising for CCT.

As last year we arranged a New Year's Party at Lom Talay Resort for our friends as well as for the friends of our friends. As previous years it turned out to be quite a success with more than 50 persons showing up. We all had a nice meal and enjoyed some good traditional Thai music and dancing. A disc jockey entertained dancing later. The New Year would traditionally be celebrated with Champagne, fireworks and Khom Loy, but the celebration was interrupted by a tragic fire among the restaurants on the street. There was no motivation for continued celebration after the shocking sight when several restaurants were burned. Before this tragic event CCT presented its activities and also had the chance to raise some money for the benefit of the children. Thank you everyone for sharing! Your contribution makes a difference!

Birthday Party at Lom Talay held by one of our Founders, December 26th, 2012

Mrs Raija Larsson, one of the CCT founders, celebrated her birthday with family and friends at Lom Talay. If anyone wanted to give a birthday present she wished that there would be a money gift which she then would donate to CCT support programs. Mrs. Raija wish resulted in a nice contribution by participating and distant congratulators. We want to thank Raija for this initiative for which we are truly grateful.

As of December 19th, 2012 we have engaged still another girl in our program.

A 9 year old girl living together with her mother at a friend’s place. Her mother has severe asthma and she mostly works in the house. The girl performs extremely well in school and she gets the highest degrees in her report card. She has won several diplomas in different kinds of student contests. She also sings well and she has a beautiful voice. CCT will pay for her school uniforms and other things needed for her school work.

We now have visited all the children and their teachers and reviewed their school work during and progress during 2012.

The children now have school uniforms and blend in with their class mates. They have performed real well and made a lot of progress during 2012. We feel that the children have felt support and perhaps because of this they have had more energy for their school work. Some of the children have difficult home situations or experiences, two brothers living with very old relatives, and a girl whose brother suddenly died last year.

We now receive more applications for scholarships, since there are quite a few children who live in economic hardship and whose parents have difficulties in funding their studies at this basic level. The CCT scholarships are all administered by the teachers, who also decide when children need for example new school uniforms.

One year and eight months have passed since we started our activities and so far, we feel that everything works according to our plans. We share the happiness these children feel for their learning experience. Of course we are eager to engage more donors and friends supporting CCT activities and scholarships. We are thankful to anyone considering contributing.

Two more children have been admitted to the CCT support program Nov 6th, 2012

Two girls 15 and years old attending the same school, one of them she lives with her father in a small house, which the landowner has allowed for the time being. Her mother died in cancer when she was 6 years old. The father works for the municipality and earns 178 Baht per day those days he is being offered to work. As for everyone trying to make their living as a day laborer the economy is difficult. She therefore helps her father during vacations and works together with him and then receives 120 Baht per day. During season for work tapping rubber milk she works with her aunt every Saturday and every Sunday morning and night and can earn up to about 150 Baht. She is an ambitious student with good school results and wants to complete her education. Her dream and goal is to be able to study in order to become a veterinary. CCT awards her with a scholarship in order for her to be better of in trying to reach her goal.

The other one has been abandoned by her mother and father. They divorced and left the family as her younger sister was born. Her mother has remarried and lives far away and nobody knows the whereabouts of the father. None of the parents have had any contact with her and has never contributed economically for her livelihood. She lives together with a severely neurologically impaired younger sister 11 years old and her grandmother. The grandmother is 71 years old (2012) and has as other retired Thais 500 Baht as her monthly pension. They live in a simple small house - shack with costs for rent, electricity and gas at about 2100 Baht per month. The grandmother cooks curry dishes, which she sells. In order to help her grandmother with providing for the family she rides her bicycle in the evenings and sells the curry meals. During weekends she helps her grandmother to cook and prepare the meals for selling. Every day she also has to help her grandmother to care for her sister who cannot walk or stand. All this work makes it tough for her to have energy and time for school work. She is a very ambitious pupil with very good school results and she wants to complete her studies. The economic situation of the family is difficult. She got a scholarship in order for her to be able to reduce her workload and to get better chances to complete her studies.

Still another child in for CCT support, Nov 6th 2012

A girl, 12 years old living with her grandparents in a very simple house - shack. The cost for the rent, electricity and gas is around 1800 Baht per month. Their pension is 2 * 500 Baht montly. Her mother left the family when she was three months old and she has not heard of her mother since then. Her father has worked in housebuilding with paint work and electricity work, but died in a work accident in September 2012, 42 years old. She is preoccupied about her future life since her grandparents are getting older. She is very ambitious and has good school results. She wants to complete her education. She is worried that her grandparents cannot afford supporting her education. Magic is needed to be able to cope with this very low pension. CCT therefore grants a scholarship to her to make it possible for her to carry on with her studies.

One more child has been accepted for CCT support, Nov 6th 2012

A girl, 8 years who is the sister of the girls two chapters below one of them already have been admitted to the CCT support program. She is a charming girl, ambitious and making great at school. She has already last semester qualified for the CCT support program, but could not be admitted at that time, since CCT did not have enough funding for her.

One of our supported teenagers has hastily passed away.

Tuesday August 21, we got the sad information that one of our teenagers having a CCT scholarship, a seventeen year old boy, suddenly passed away August 21st. In spite of efforts of care at
a hospital in Rayong his life could not be saved. According to preliminary reports he had dengue fever with septic chock. We have been in contact on telephone with his mother and sister and conveyed our deepest regret and participation in their grief. He was a nice, cheerful and vivid boy who now has left life in our world. We hope that he will reach Nirvana and become totally free without any further suffering. We had known him only for a short period of time, but nevertheless we deeply regret these sad news. CCT will by a proxy show our participation in the grief of the family at the cremation and contribute with an economic contribution to the funeral.

Another child accepted for CCT support activities - April 2nd, 2012.

A girl, 12 years of age, living with her parents and two sisters, 7 years and 4 months old, in a very simple house a few kilometers outside Kram. The father works as a day laborer and earns around 200 Bahts the days he works. The mother is for the time being at home with the baby, but usually also works as a day laborer. The director of the primary school, which the girl just has finished tipped us off, that she is the best student of the school, but cannot continue her education in Sunthonpu Secondary School due to the poverty of the family. The girl has highest degree, 4, in all subects, apart from two subjects, where she has 3.5. CCT will pay her school fees, uniforms, school bus etc, in order for her to start in Sunthonpu. Due to shortage in CCT budget the younger sister cannot get support for the time being, in spite of great need.

We have revisited all the children and their schools before at the end of the study year, in order to control study results and for economic accountability of CCT support -
March 30th, 2012.

All the children now have good quality uniforms and blend well with their class mates. Study results are as a whole good, with small improvements in certain subjects. Unfortunately there is one exception, where a student has spent too much time with sports. In spite of repeated reminders, from teachers and his grandmother he has not reached the level necessary to continue the last years of secondary school. He will leave our support program, for the time being. Perhaps he will be eligible for support for some sort of vocational training in the future.

We now have registered our first student for university studies - March 29th, 2012.

A girl, 19 years, who has left Secondary School has been accepted for studies in Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University in Chantaburi at the faculty for Management Science-Fincance and Banking. The education covers eight semesters during four years. She will live at the campus during weeks, to avoid tiring travelling.

Another child accepted for CCT support activities - March 26th, 2012.

A girl 13 years, who lives with her aunt in Sunthonpu. The girl’s mother has abandoned her many years ago and has a new family with another woman. The father is a day laborer and lives in a construction worker camp in Bangkok with a new woman. The girl is not welcome to live there and does not want to either due to the very bad environment. Neither mother nor father contribute economically to the support of the girl and her school. She is about to start second year of secondary school and has achieved very good study results at school. CCT will pay for her school fees, uniforms, school bus etc due to her economic situation and since she has proved great interest in studies.

Two more children have been accepted for CCT support - March 23rd, 2012.

Two sisters, 15 years and 10 years of age, who live with their father in a simple lodge, let by a neigbour outside Kram. The father workds as a day laborer earning 250 THB daily. The mother left the family many years ago and neither vists the children or contributes to their livelyhood. The famly is very poor and in order for the older girl to be able to continue her education at secondary school and for the younger to get a new uniform, CCT will grant them a scholarship.

Due to lack of study results one student will leav our support program - March 23rd, 2012.

A boy, 16 years, who has devoted too much time to sports and thereby not achieved study results, required to obtain the last year of secondary school.

Two more children accepted into the CCT support activities - Feb 10th 2012.

The next students to be accepted into the CCT support activites are a girl 19 and her brother 17 years old, both at present in the same school and living with their mother and grandmother. Their father died more than ten years ago. They live in a small rented house. The grandmother has had a stroke and stays in bed after the stroke since she still is partly paretic. The mother earns 170-200 Baht per day. According to the teachers of these two students, they have good chances to perform well if continuing school after secondary school, provided of course, that necessary economic support is available.

Birthday Party at Lom Talay held by one of our Donors, February 4th, 2012

Our good friend Mr. Mille Clareus celebrated his birthday with family and friends at Lom Talay. He wanted everyone at the party to contribute to his birthday by donating money for the CCT support programs for children needing support in order to complete school. Mr. Clareus wish resulted in a nice contribution by the birthday celebrators to the CCT. We want to thank Mille for this initiative for which we are truly grateful.

New Year's Party at Lom Talay with fund raising for CCT.

As last year we arranged a New Year's Party at Lom Talay Resort for our friends as well as for the friends of our friends. It turned out to be quite a success with 60 persons showing up, of which five were children. We all hade a nice meal and enjoyed some good traditional Thai music and dancing. A disc jockey entertained dancing later. As New Year approached we celebrated with champagne and fireworks as well as with departing Khom Loys. During the evening CCT presented its activities and also had the chance to raise some money for the benifit of the children. There were some particulary generous individuals who contributed with 16 150 Baht. Thank you everyone for sharing! Your contribution makes a difference!

Christmas Eve at Buffalo Bill Steak House collecting funds for Child Care Thailand.

Together with good friends we celebrated Christmas at Buffalo Bill Steak House. Michael Baines the restaurant manager engaged in caring for children in Thailand by letting us tell the guests about CCT and collect funds for the benefit of the children. We are really grateful to Michael and we also want to thank all who contributed by a donation.

Two more children adopted to the CCT support activities Dec. 19th 2011.

Two girls 9 and 11 years old from the same school, the younger living with her grandmother and her new husband and his daughter. The father of the girl never had any contact with his child. The mother moved to the southern part of Thailand and has a new family there. Grandmother sells noodles in a small shop earning around 150-250 Baht per day, making the daily net income low.

The older girl lives with her mother and older brother. The father has disappeared and has no contact with his child. The mother works in a garden where she has a small apartment tied to her work there. The son did not continue school after primary school due the poor economy of the family. CCT now supports the girl and she will not have to stop her studies. She can continue to secondary school.

Three more children admitted for CCT support activities – Nov 17, 2011.

Three siblings – two boys 8 and 11 years old and their sister 14 years of age. They live with parents under conditions best described as for serfs, in a shed behind an old sawmill. The shed is has a standard that is hard to picture. The limited number of days which the parents can work they earn 250 THB per day. Their living conditions are very poor.

We have now revisited all the children and their schools for assessments of results and accounting spendings.

The girl now receives support and does no longer have to work. She has now more time for school work and has improved her level of knowledge a great deal.

The father with kidney failure passed away this summer. The boys, who are cousins, still live with their grandmother and help her to collect cans and bottles to contribute to the household.

All children now have proper school uniforms, clothing for time out of school – underwear, socks and shoes. They now look as neat and proper as their class mates and they have many friends. We experience them as much happier and more enthusiastic than earlier. Especially the boy form the rubber plantation, who never used to smile, now is smiling a lot.
He now has a buss pass for his 30 kilometers to school and does not have to take his bike any longer. He has time and energy for school work now and his level of knowledge has improved a lot.

Great-grandmother and great-grandfather are still in the family but very weak. The boys do whatever they can to help in the household.

All children have a certain amount of money being kept at school for the teachers to administer. They get money for snacks and if they need money for shoes, clothes etc, they can ask the teacher who decides on what purchases need to be made. At home visits all families get some extra food, drinking water, soya milk, eggs etc. Families that need mosquito nets, fans get that.

CCT activities recently started, and already, run the way, we intended. Teachers are very careful in keeping accountant books for every child, which makes it easy to get an overview over how money is being used.

A warm thank you to Nuch and Takky and to their employees for providing us with an interesting and useful course. They also paid for the material needed for making the kratongs. We also want to thank the participating students for their course fees and an extra thank you to those who tossed in some extra money.
